Why did NNPC decide to recruit for positions that are not urgently needed? If they really wanted us to get the APL by next year, the recruitment should have started, say, this month.
NNPC is being insensitive and irresponsible.

Former NNPC Management caused this wahala I swear, they supposed to do this recruitment since last year but they were blinded and taken things for granted, thinking Buhari would extend there tenure. They even wrote for 2 years extention but when they realized their tenure would not be renewed, they started rushing the recruitment process and at the end time didn't allow them.
The new NNPC BOSS want to review everything before they would take their final decision on APL. May God help us

GMD's promise to the national assembly was "atleast 30 per state". This was one of the main reasons for the delay as some states didnt have up to that number that impressed at the interview. How to fulfill that promise became/is now the problem. This gave rise to the cancellation rumours.

The main reason for the delay is bcoz of this new management. They have their own plans different from the old management.

Pls, you all should just relax and wait for things to unfold.. disregard any negative comments regarding the recruitment as it is almost at the point of completion... A friend on this thread (moniker withheld) just called me about 30mins ago panicking and saying there is a new rumour circulating on Nairaland about the cancellation of the recruitment.. I work at Seplat here in Sapele, Delta State and my Boss is pals with majority of the big players in the O&G Ind... He also has a nephew who applied for the job (GT).. He's not in the office now but I called him to inform him of what I was told.. he asked me to cut the call so he could make a call.. 5 minutes later, he called me back and said he just spoke with one of the powerful GM's in NNPC now, xxxxxx, that's the name he told me.. and the first things I wrote above was exactly what the man told him... he said the man also said the list would be released anytime from now pending some bureaucratic processes.... that's all .... no other questions ... The APLs rumoured to being collected are for contract staff (Third Party) within some SBUs eg NPSC. It has nothing to do with the NNPC APL currently being anticipated.
