Adedoja Olaniyi has 2 confirmed usernames on Nairaland. I believe he has many more active ones on this site and maybe even on this thread. He’s locked up for life. Dude’s got nothing but time on his hands. He can literally create a new username every hour of every day of the year. It is quite likely that he is one of several rapists and apologists posting regularly on this website.
As Nairaland continues to draw rapists and their apologists, many more Powerhouse5050s find a home here. Until there is a deliberate effort to sanction their vile posts, they can continue to call female children “lady” and advocate for themselves and their kind because water always finds its level and there’s a bustling community here for these perverts.
I see usernames like rapistonbail and ikillbrokehoes and sundry misogynist/sexist names. Some usernames are borne out of actual offline behaviour, don’t take anything for granted. Oyinbogoju’s was borne out of actual offline yahoo (money laundering) activity as per the arrest in Japan. My people say “oruko lo n ro ni.” Your name announces you. Note that I haven’t said these rapistonbail and ikillbrokehoes characters are criminals because I do not know but I can confidently say that the average, normal person does not choose names that border on criminality. If you think “broke hoes” are not a thing, let it be known that there are actual serial killers whose specialty is down-on-their-luck, poor females who are usually willing to sell sex to survive. A lot of them are classified as “missing.”
Oyinbogoju, in Yoruba, means that white people are gullible/stupid. This is Adedoja’s mantra, the principle by which he lives and in his mind, it also applies to his fellow Nigerians. It is the reason why he’s still looking for a loophole to escape punishment, just looking for that person that will buy his lies and amplify them. Adedoja is becoming more hardened in prison, not less so and the danger he represents on the streets now is much higher than when he was imprisoned. If he ever gets the chance to rape again, the chances of leaving the victim alive to possibly testify against him, are very low. He remains unwaveringly defiant and unrepentant with a very high likelihood to rape again. Remember that when you think he should be set free or given a reduced sentence. Japan did him a favour by deporting him and what did he do with that second chance? The US judge saw his behaviour and saw something in him. Based on her experience as a judge, she knew that the maximum sentence is the only way to prevent him from re-offending. The fact that 2 years after conviction, his numerous appeals have gone nowhere, only goes to show how frivolous they are.
If you think the thread should be closed, think again. Burying/eradicating sins might sound like a smart solution but it’s not. Many people will learn many different things from this thread. The push to close it is suspect and should not be entertained. If nothing else, let us learn to ask probing questions when we are faced with stories. The lack of questioning is a key advantage that deceivers capitalize on. Our forefathers were not stupid nor lazy. They raised families and farmed their lands. We, their descendants, should be smarter and better. Critical thinking is not an Oyinbo nor elitist concept and it is not reserved for only the educated or exposed. It is the old fashioned “agbari ”sense before fraudsters made “agbari” a bad word. It is what our forefathers used to safeguard their belongings when the fraudsters of their day showed up with stories. You don’t have to be an Einstein to develop the ability to ponder and evaluate what you hear. Our forefathers had no western education yet they did great things. With western education and the internet, we have a lot more than they did. To whom agbari is given, much is expected.
If you are sexually attracted to children or you tend towards rape, seek help because everyday is for the thief, the owner needs just one day! God is not mocked, we reap what we sow! This thread is a testament to that. |

I have good news for you. . . . . . . If the money you received from abroad is clean, non-criminal money, God will multiply you greatly until the loss looks paltry. You will prosper beyond your wildest imagination and it will be well with your soul. You will experience so much abundance, overflowing. . . . . . If, however, the money you received was the proceeds of criminal activity, you will not be able to prosper nor build any financial comfort till you completely repent AND stop all forms of criminality. For any criminal proceeds, this is how you will run from pillar to post and not be able to do anything GOOD with the funds. Uchezzy208: Hello Nairalanders, I'm might not be perfect in my writing because this is my first post since I joined nairaland. Everyone should be careful of this guy called Logistics because he is a fraudster and we need a business worth of 300k and when the money was paid into his account then he start making up stories and threatening me on top. I have tried everything possible to get my money but it's not possible because he lives far away from me. Recently he brought a new car and maybe from the proceed of money. I will attached his picture and everyone should be careful dealing with him. Oyinbogoju, Nairaland’s most famous Yahoo and rapist was convicted of yahoo yahoo and a sex crime in Japan. Japan gave him a second chance by deporting him back to Naija. He found his way to the US and within 3 months of arriving, he got nailed for child rape. 3 life sentences +76 years imprisonment. At the age of 31/32, he has nothing but endless time in a US prison. Crime does not pay! |

Whatever you do, don’t make the mistake of going back abroad to engage in crime. The story of Nairaland’s famous rapist, Oyinbogoju, is still very fresh in the crime section. Japan graciously deported him to Nigeria for money laundering (let’s just say Yahoo) and sexual criminality. Instead of stopping with that, he went to the US and violently raped a 13 year old child. He was duly tried on 12 criminal charges and rewarded with 3 life sentences + 76 years. No deportation, just life long imprisonment at the age of 31. Don’t be like Oyinbogoju, don’t take deportation for granted. A lot of countries will try you , convict you and incarcerate you based on their own justice systems. Deportation after committing crime is a favor to you, don’t waste the opportunity to repair your life. https://www.nairaland.com/6793272/follow-up-nigerian-locked-up#106570289 |

GeorgeChidi: I believe 12 jurors spent the better part of a week hearing evidence during a trial and unanimously -- and quickly -- voted to convict him. A jury conviction is a powerful statement of guilt that requires more than a cursory claim of innocence to ignore. The burden of proof shifts to Bah to prove his innocence after that kind of conviction, and he's not meeting that burden, since everything he's arguing would have been evident to those 12 jurors.
He also has tremendous incentive to lie like hell right now, given what he's facing in prison.
There's no point in arguing half-measures: you can't sort-of-rape a 13-year-old girl, and there's no real provision for leniency in sentencing given the conditions. The only way he ever gets out of prison is by arguing that the state broke its own laws prosecuting him. And, again, he isn't offering sufficient evidence of that, because that's a high hurdle to leap.
Yeah. He did it. I can say that because a jury said it. |

Please, when free, try revisit the case again using these facts:
1. As opposed to what you said, there was actually no in-court identification. Yes, it was falsified!
2. The jury never heard the DNA weren't his...he was standing for himself then (story for another day). The judge prevented his DNA expert from testifying!
3. He was deemed guilty even before the court said so.
4. Do you know him in person? You sound like he has done it before and you bailed him!
I do not mean to disrespect you but I wish to provoke your mind! The best way to help is checking two facts! You hate the figure who raped the minor, yes, it's normal! Don't let it becloud simple judgements and human reasoning! People who were set-up also look guilty! How do people set-up prove themselves innocent? Wear those fccking shoes too!
With due respect, if you cannot help, don't add to injury! We summoned you to help...not play the devil. Whoever you are, it's all six feet for us all!
You would reduce your temper to check possible facts if it were your brother in jail! You wouldn't tell him he'll die there because the court facts said so!
Professional journalism is when you discover what the court didn't want others to know! Not being grandiloquent on already known facts with abysmal insults that would weaken one's bone!
Who am I? I am nobody! I'm a crazy lazy dude on the street of Lagos hating on direct insults to injuries! Yes, and that's why you think nobody is nobody to you! I guess you are feeling pained and want to exercise your “connectedness”...that's what it feels to be accused wrongly!
An investigator tries to let the defendant know beyond all reasonable doubts that there are guilty! To help, they proffer solutions if they think the defendant is repentant at least!
You just came in and pronounced judgement like you live in heaven!
Do you even know what he is asking for? He is not asking to be innocent! He only needs the momentum so his case can be revisited and due process followed! That's all he is asking! If he is guilty, wouldn't it end the same way!
Whether Lagos or Maiduguri in Georgia, human government and system is not PERFECT!
I provoke you to read! It seems you only read to rewrite and not read to discover!
I provoke you to wear those shoes!
I provoke you to show the whole world you were the journalist who spoke out for due process!
Yes, I provoke you that you can do better beyond your emotions!
I put it to you....you are going to do the right thing!
I am now done provoking you! Don't bother replying because I am SORRY!
Thank you!

GeorgeChidi: My suggestion would be to sympathize with a man living in dangerous conditions in a Georgia prison, but not to accept his self-serving arguments for his innocence. He's guilty.
Here's the thing with DNA evidence: if it's not you, it's usually really obvious. You don't have to prove it with deep statistical analysis. It's just ... not there. What they had was close enough to present to a jury, "inconclusive" only by a narrow technical reading of the law and the science. That's why he tried to get a court to throw it out: as evidence, it's solid enough.
Again: the victim testified. I'm going to read this transcript, and read this testimony. Every new comment in this thread re-victimizes a 13-year-old girl.
I am arguing loudly that most of the people in prison in Georgia should be released right now on humanitarian grounds. I wouldn't make that argument for Bah today, based on what I've seen. He should never be a free man again. |

GeorgeChidi: I have looked at the "evidences" you've provided in this thread.
You're full of shit. Straight up.
I mean, I get it. People are getting shanked and murdered all around you in the state prison at Coffee County. The Georgia prison system is falling apart, and prison gangs have effectively taken over state prisons because of the labor shortage with guards. You can get your hands on a cell phone because things are that loose right now. Those prison gangs take a very, very dim view of child rapists. You fear for your life, so you're reaching out any way you can hoping someone will get you out.
You've lied like hell through much of the posts here. You were defended by a public defender, and didn't spend your own money on your defense. You challenged the DNA evidence -- because it was a close enough match to you to overcome the doubts of a judge and jury. The victim identified you in court as the attacker. There is no meaningful doubt about your guilt. Nonetheless, I have a phone call out to the district attorney and a records request to the Douglas County courthouse for the full transcript.
With that kind of evidence, you leaving your phone somewhere else while committing the crime -- your "GPS" evidence -- doesn't matter. Minor questions about whether or not you were able to ditch your clothing don't matter. Nothing you've said overcomes the strength of the evidence presented in court, or demands that I "investigate" any further than this.
You were convicted fairly. You are no longer entitled to a presumption of innocence, particularly on the strength of this evidence.
You think you're going to die in jail, and soon. I sympathize with that fear. You were sentenced to life in prison, not to be garroted by a murderer in a dark corner of a prison hall. But you belong in prison. |

Powerhouse5050: Dear Mr George Chidi,
Thank you for stopping by and I am also glad to know that you are investigative journalist and also you do understand the way of criminal justice system.
However even though you claimed to be an investigator it seems to me that the only thing you have investigated so far is the report that was put out by my prosecutor.
As an investigator have you taken a moment to look at the evidences I have provided?
You said they don't matter right?
Yet the GPS is an evidence that people have used to prove their innocence, even after conviction.....but in my case you said it does not matter right?
2, What was the result of your investigation in regards took the phone call and alibi at the same time I was suppose to be assaulting the young girl, could you explain your hypothesis to nairalanders?
3, You claimed my DNA was found at the crime scene, but you failed to read the testimony by GBI that says " We can not conclude that Mr Bah Is the contributor of the DNA found in the vagina" If it is not Mr. Bah then who?
It seems you have some other result that I have never seen.....you may as well provide the report you read here.
I expect a man of your caliber to dig deeply into provided information before making a conclusion.
Did you even bother to take a look at defense expert testimony where the expert concluded that the profile of the alleles found in the vagina is totally different from allele profile of Mr. Bah and that exclude Mr Bah, that tesimoney was based on GBI data......doesn't that prove to you that the result released by the prosecution was actually FALSE REPORT.
Your conclusion lack basic iota of professionalism ,unless you can prove my evidences otherwise.
The evidences i have provided were part of 1200 pages court record that 1stGenAmerican refered to, maybe you should study the evidences and come back to prove them otherwise One by One.
Thank you |

GeorgeChidi: Alright. Enough.
I'm George Chidi. I'm an investigative journalist of Nigerian descent, living in Georgia. I write for The Intercept and appear on local television in Atlanta. I am familiar with Douglas County, criminal justice issues in Georgia and the mechanisms of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab.
Google me. I'm easy to find.
A friend contacted me to take a look at this. The claims of Adedoja Bah do not stand up to cursory examination. He was convicted not as a matter of mistaken identity, but because DNA found at the scene matched his own. He's arguing that the tests were flawed, but a court ruled that they were not: the testing mechanism is the gold standard and the very best available. Here's the ruling: https://www.cybgen.com/information/admissibility/Bah2019.pdf
I would be the first person to advocate for someone convicted out of racial bias in Georgia. It exists. But that's not what happened here, and certainly not in Douglas County, which is not the rural banjo-playing south. It's a relatively affluent suburb of Atlanta that voted 2-to-1 for Joe Biden last year. There are parts of Georgia where justice for a Black person can be immediately questioned. Douglas County isn't one of them. It's the Nigerian equivalent of Ota or Lekki when talking about Lagos. He's trying to make it sound like he was arrested in Maiduguri.
The Georgia prison system is, indeed, terrible. It is unsanitary and dangerous -- and extremely so for people who commit crimes against children. His life is legitimately at risk. And so, I can imagine why he would look for some way to get out of prison.
But he did it. He's guilty of the crime. His protests are self-serving lies by a man with nothing but his life left to lose. |

Don’t be quick to start a public campaign.
Try to gain a firm understanding of the facts of this case; including the facts against the defendant. And if possible reach out to his current legal counsel.
A total of 1200+ pages of recorded transcripts and reports...I guess you have only seen a few pages of this case. You don’t have all facts of this case to mount a public campaign.
Remember the public will ask far more difficult questions. |
