Post modification in progress so I’ll just immortalize a few comments and leave the rest in the previous screenshots chatinent: |
Hammer2021:I remember that thread |
Slizzords:On behalf of that child who does not know either of us, I say “thank you” for the prayer and thanks for adding your voice. |
daddytime:Uncle, I am female ![]() |
I’ve been wanting to do this for a while now, I guess now is as good a time as any. I want to thank every person on this thread that was courageous enough to stand up and speak. Some from the beginning, some others swallowed their pride and later admitted to being wrong. I said it on another thread much earlier in the year, only big men/women can say “I am sorry.” I don’t want to name names because I’d hate to miss anyone but some people are deserving of special mention. 1stGenAmerican, the amazon that broke the deceit open right from the very beginning. For those that do not know, her username means “first generation American “ so like you and like me, she has Naija blood in her veins. I also want to mention 404dev, that man’s passion for investigation was particularly impressive. If even a tenth of the NPF had staff like that and had the necessary resources to solve crimes, crime-solving stats would be transformed in Nigeria. I am also going to mention Allegory because her insight, from her first reading, was outstanding. I know how much time I spent before putting the whole story together so I knew right off that this was a particularly sharp mind. Salutation to Daddytime because this thread became an avenue to share his story once again. You see, people, the crime is not the end. There is the concept of “closure.” Victims of crime will tell you that genuine repentance from the criminal goes a long way to help in their healing and even criminals have testified about the lifted burden when they repent. In the end, there is a young girl whose innocent view of this world was violently taken from her on that summer day in 2017. For those of you rape apologists and their crime-cuddling associates, spare a thought for her and say a prayer for her.. . . . . . and for yourself Thanks to everyone who was able to keep up with this thread, I know it wasn’t easy. My prayer is that none of us will ever have front row seating in a heinous crime like this or any other for that matter. That we not have to deal with what this child and her family went through and probably still going through. When you hear “rape” let your first thought be about the victim and the life changing effects that he/she may or may not survive. Good night and God bless ![]() |
I have deliberately ignored numerous posters, forgive me if I have not deemed a response to you worthy of my time or effort. |
chatinent:I only read the first line of this before and didn’t bother with the rest. Now, I have some time. “ Nobody holy pass” has become the excuse for a multitude of sins - yahoo yahoo, money ritual, polithiefing, influencer profiteering, etc. Nobody holy pass is the reason why you would without a second thought become the mouthpiece of a child rapist abi? And assume that everyone else would do the same thing if they had the opportunity, ko? @bolded: Some of you think everyone on here grew up the same way you did with zero moral compass. I’m not the epitome of perfection but understand that you and I do not belong in the same class when it comes to morals and scruples. You don’t have to believe me but hear this- My mother put the fear of lying and stealing into her children at a very early age. That is why till tomorrow, myself and my siblings do not lie and do not steal nor bear false witness. Yet, without exception, God has prospered us and blessed our offspring in ways we could not even imagine. Through it all, not one of us has ever been involved in any sort of criminal behaviour or aided criminality. God has prospered us through the work of our hands without us identifying with rapists and criminals. “Oruko rere san ju wura lo” a good name is better than gold Ranti omo eni ti iwo nse remember the child of whom you are Evil communication corrupts good manners The above and more are what we heard from older family members and friends when we were growing up. These are everlasting values that we teach and preach to our own children. These are the values upon which we were raised. Ultimately, even without those, God has blessed each person, INCLUDING YOU with a sense of right and wrong. Go back and read about my $1 example on the previous page. Like I’ve said before, ALL WAY NO BE WAY! That is why lots of us have lived abroad for decades and never seen the inside of a police vehicle or a jail or even been interrogated or become a suspect in any crime. Hustling to make ends meet is not a crime but hustling that is completely devoid of scruples and the basics of human decency is. That you would even consider hustling on the back of a 13 year old rape victim is particularly egregious! The tribalism on Nairaland is bad enough, it is disastrous that rapists, their apologists and all manner of perverts have created a thriving community on this site. To the extent that characters like yourself with a “followership base” see nothing wrong with capitalizing on said Nland yeyebrity influence to advance the cause of a duly convicted and unrepentant serial sex offender. |
Ola17:YES! |
chatinent:@bolded: I’m not your typical Nigerian so go ahead and be disrespectful. My life is nice enough without the validation of “respect “ thank you very much! |
The following post is not for everybody, especially those that are already psychologically damaged through culture or nurture and don’t see any big deal in a child being violently raped. I speak from MY viewpoint. Prior to this thread, most posters here had never seen my username before. People that are familiar with my posts know I don’t post much. In fact, because of this thread, this might be the year I have posted the most on Nland. My mission on this thread is about that 13 year old child. I don’t know her but I know plenty like her. I see them at family gatherings, in the schools, out strolling on the streets enjoying their youth, in the parks, etc Most of us have never been raped, we don’t see or read graphic details of what victims experienced. I read the graphic details of that child’s rape on page 8 (one of the uploaded documents) and everything changed for me. Can you imagine a 13 years old child being forced to experience that? Put any 13 year old girl that you know and love in that terrifying circumstance and see if rage does not well up in you. To be raped so violently by someone bigger and stronger who also threatens to kill you if you say anything. Can you even begin to imagine that child’s terror? Do you know how many years of therapy she’s going to need to survive this without lasting damage to her psyche? Do you realize that most kids that age would not say anything to anyone and live in the fear that was created in them. The violence and threats were essential to Bah making sure she didn’t tell anybody. Psychologists can explain it to you. Do you know realize that girl might never be able to have normal sexual relations her whole life? Do you know that she might see Bah in the face of every man she meets who considers her sexually attractive? Do you know that if Bah had just confessed and been remorseful, it might have helped her pain somewhat? But no, he had to put her and her family through the pain of a trial, had her relive the experience again and again. Do you know that a lot of molested kids grow up to become drug addicts because they are trying to dull the horror of their experience(s). Drug addiction in turn leads them to inability to have a stable life. They go into prostitution and crime to sustain their addictions and give birth to kids that in turn are vulnerable to rapists and the cycle goes on and on. Do you realize that this child can grow up to hate her body because a sexual deviant chose it for his sickness? I live in the surburbs, all around my neighborhood are large expanses of wooded area, deliberately preserved as part of the landscape for nature lovers to enjoy. Criminals like Bah look at that beauty and think of such spaces as a cover for rape. That girl could have been any of the teenagers I see around me, middle class surbuban kids just living their lives. Contrary to the stereotypes being parroted by the perverts on Nland, normal 13 year old American girls are not looking for random sex with men in their 30s. That girl did not enjoy the experience and gained nothing but heartache and pain from it. If you believe different, then you are simply a pervert! Will that girl ever be able to walk by a wooded area again without a panic attack? Without terror paralysing her? Is she ever going to hear an African male accent again without remembering Oyinbogoju? Do you have any idea what her day to day life is even now, 4 and a half years after her experience. Just writing this brings tears to my eyes. That girl might eventually just commit suicide if she’s not able to cope with her terror. Do you know how many people in the US commit suicide daily because they can’t live with their nightmares and pain? I am not you and you are not me so forgive me if I have zero tolerance for those trying to make a quick buck from this child’s experience. Everyone is welcome to their beliefs and convictions. If you believe that Chatinent got involved for altruistic reasons, good on you but recognize that your opinion means zilch to me and return the favor. I am someone who does a lot of research as a way of life and I also happen to have an uncanny ability to read individuals accurately. I really don’t care whether or not Chatinent’s defenders believe that or not. Criminals have grades and child molesters are the worst of the worst, even in prisons. In my books, all apologists of rapists wear the same crown. Even in the face of conclusive evidence of wrongdoing, Chatinent is still being crafty. My bullsh$t tolerance is zero, I have no patience for it. Most people find it in themselves to tolerate and accommodate BS, not Mmotimo! Ordinary transcript you cannot produce because you know it won’t help Bah’s case yet you are still bullshitting. I am old school, I don’t do crime in any way, shape or form. I was raised to value contentment. That I like it doesn’t mean I must have it. It’s okay to admire and move on if I can’t afford it. If the cashier forgets to swipe a $1 item from my cart, I bring it to her attention. I don’t take what is not mine and I don’t covet what belongs to others. I don’t believe in profiting from the experience of a 13 year old rape victim and I consider those that do to be no better than the actual rapist . In this US, you can build a nice life for yourself and family if you are willing to put in the work. It’s not rocket science. The reason why the jails are filling up with Nigerians everyday is because of the “fast buck” mentality. So many of our people are arriving with the mentality to “make it quick” so that they can show off. Oyinbogoju was said to have been involved in crime in Houston before the rape incident that put him away, I don’t have the facts so I can’t comment but Japan got him for money laundering along with the sex crime so we know he’s not a choir boy. That Chatinent would gleefully cast his lot with a duly convicted AND UNREPENTANT child rapist AND make categorical, authoritative statements in his defence says a lot about his own character. To everyone who thinks I should leave him alone, YOU DO YOU AND I’LL DO ME. I was not raised in the era of the internet so I’m sorry, mumu followership has never been my portion. I’m going to have to stop here for now because I have to get to other things. |
Ola17:On the previous page, he said he did the time, so you have confirmation that he didn’t? Escaping bail would suggest there’s a warrant out for his arrest and yet he wrote a book about what he did? So how is he an ex-convict if he was never convicted? How does the “escaped to Nigeria “ apply? |
daddytime:@bolded: That is a lot more than chatinent has done for his role in trying to mislead the public! You did the crime? Check! You did the time? Check! You are repentant? Check! How all of that compares with an unrepentant, violent child rapist is beyond me. |
DOAI DelTel Justwise 1stGenAmerican You are quite possibly conversing with a personality whose brain has been pulverized by tramadol or some other cheap street drug(s). I don’t think anyone can be that obtuse unless their mind is muddled. After several comments, he still does not understand that the rapist has already been convicted, his case done and dusted. |
armyofone:More like chatinent the pointsman advocating for him here, albeit as an incompetent mouthpiece. 2 blind mice, the blind leading the blind. If it wasn’t for 1stGenAmerican raining on their parade before it got off to a start, I’m sure the numerous gullible posters who refused to open their minds, would have opened their wallets to #Freebah. |
pocohantas:I have never been able to understand the compulsion to speak authoritatively on things you know nothing about. It’s such a weird disease. Some don’t even understand that his case has been settled, he got his verdict 2 years ago already. They want to re-try the case in 2021 after the convict has already filed 18 appeals that went nowhere and after incontrovertible evidence that nailed him for the crime. Yet when you say they have no logical reasoning, no critical thinking skills, they get hot under the collar and start a new round of pointless speeches. |
Hathor5:A 15 year old, young enough to be her daughter has reduced her to a scandalous viral video. Pride cannot undo that but humility could have prevented it. |
descarado:I don’t know why it’s so hard for our people to accept that they are now in a different environment and nobody cares what your African upbringing taught you. All that is between you and your children. If you do anyhow, you will see anyhow! |
Uzomarrr123:First of all, I would not be having that conversation with a random child I do not know and I would not be losing my cool either because I am sensible enough to know that is one of the fastest ways to get in trouble with the law and/or find infamy on YouTube. It’s called self-discipline, self-restraint, self-preservation. I am as much African as you are but that doesn’t mean I would allow my pride to get me into trouble with the law. That is complete foolishness, no matter the provocation. Frankly, I have too much going for me to risk it on an incident like that. To you, it’s an eyesore; in law, it is assault. The law does not care what you think or where you came from. When in Rome, you do like the Romans. If it’s okay in Naija, stay in Naija to practise it, do not attempt to export the behaviour abroad. In the highly unlikely event that any of my kids find themselves in a situation where they are mouthing off at someone and that person puts their hands on them, African or not, I would STOP AT NOTHING to make sure that person feels the full wrath of the law. If you cannot conform to the laws of your intended destination abroad, I would strongly recommend you stay in Naija! Permit me to ignore any further mentions from you. |
armyofone:Yup! Very avoidable foolishness |
She had absolutely no right to slap that child. That is called “assault.” The mistake our people make is in thinking they can do anything abroad that they could do in Naija. The US-imprisoned, Japan-deported, convicted international rapist extraordinaire, Nairaland’s very own Oyinbogoju aka Adedoja Olaniyi Bah aka Adedoja Orani aka Tony More comes to mind. Dude thought he could get away with sexual molestation abroad, a perversion he no doubt honed in Naija. Just because you can get away with slapping kids in Naija doesn’t mean the behaviour is permitted worldwide. What that woman did is assault 101 and depending on the jurisdiction, that can give you a criminal history. It’s not till you kill somebody that the law deals with you. Learn to keep your hands to yourself. If you deem a child disrespectful, stop responding to the child, remove yourself from the situation. Assaulting a minor is not a small crime, civilized societies protect the most vulnerable, not like Naija where they are the most exploited. Thank God Oyinbogoju is serving 3 life sentences + 76 years for his brutal rape and sodomy of a 13 year old but that’s only because he committed his crime in the US, not Naija where his behaviour would have been condoned. P.S. Yes, I’m very much about publicizing Oyinbogoju so that his co-perverts and rape apologists here can learn. |
gentlesil:Your husband is a very smart man. Unlike you, he fears poverty. You are lucky to have him because if your mindsets were the same, it could very easily be headlong descent into poverty and lack and reduced opportunities for your kids. It’s good to see that one of you is thinking straight. This is not about you or what you are comfortable with. If you have nothing tangible to assuage his concern, then with all due respect, your comfort means zilch! To be brutally frank, mindsets like yours perpetuate poverty in the land. Your husband has made it clear it would put your family at an economic disadvantage and you are talking about your comfort instead of detailing how you are going to erase his worry. |
All the best, OP! He/she who has ears should listen: If it’s money you cannot afford to forfeit, NEVER entrust it to friend or family. People change, you can’t rely on them to be the same forever. Above all, learn to respect your money. Treat your sweat like you worked for it. It doesn’t matter if it’s 5K or 26M, respect every single kobo you make and it will change how you make money decisions. |
signature2012:I have said that the only reason why Yahoo Yahoo had to be exported abroad is because the government has impoverished Nigerians so much that they don’t have money to give fraudsters, not because there aren’t enough gullible Nigerians in the motherland. Nigerians are some of the most gullible people on this planet and if the average person was very financially comfortable, fraudsters would do brisk business right there in Nigeria without hounding foreigners . People hear 6 SUVs, $150k and their brain cells shut down. Very embarrassing! It has become taboo to ask for the source of any one’s money, even a convicted rapist’s. |
DelTel:Chatinent is a hustler, I’m sure he couldn’t care less whether Adedoja is guilty or innocent. 6 imaginary SUVs and 150k decorated with $$$$ signs was enough. He probably thought of this as “another hustle “ for some quick money and maybe hit the gold mine after they recruited the general public to donate money to campaign for this criminal. Probably figured if it didn’t get to that stage, at least he would have made some quick cash early on from the rapist and his cheerleaders before the “project “ collapsed. Hopefully he got his mobilization fee before their water foundation house of cards crashed irredeemably. It would be the height of stupidity to be the associate/mouthpiece/agent/ advocate of an international rapist with nothing to show for it. That said, Oyinbogoju could have conned him to work for free. Who is the con and who is the conned now Message to young people “all way no be way.” The superstitious would tell you that innocent victim’s head is “very strong.” There are some people you treat badly and the punishment go be like juju, flowing from the actual perpetrator to encompass all who aid him to whitewash his crime. Some old school people like me still subscribe to “show me your friend and I’ll tell you who you are.” Mind whom you join your name with, the internet never forgets. |
1stGenAmerican:The Oyinbogoju aka Adedoja Orani. No wonder I couldn’t find anything about his previous criminal history despite searching online several times. The Japanese report did not name this alias, making it easier for him to hide his history. I just knew that his US crime was too brazen for a first timer. I have no doubt he’s a serial rapist, he’s just been lucky all this time. That innocent child in Georgia, though traumatized, was able to take a particularly monstrous rapist off the streets. May God continue to take care of her, all the days of her life. He had the guts to say Interpol had nothing on him, after all he was speaking to people who swallow any thing a “rich man” says smh! Classic Naija ne’er do well tortoise brain. After his DNA gave him away in Japan, you’d think he’d have the good sense to desist but maybe his co-travellers on Nairaland told him “ they can’t get your DNA if you don’t ejaculate into the victim” or some other nonsense! |
Kobojunkiee:Tons of them here and they have become increasingly bold with their criminal convictions. Just listen to him trying to rationalize sexual assault! Sane minds cannot afford to be quiet, we have to be loud in order to defeat these perverted mindsets so that our female folk can exist in peace. |
