First things first, I am neither a Yoruba nor a Hausa but I know how these things are. The Yoruba's don't hate the Ibo's. The Yoruba's are only uncomfortable with the Ibo's feeling of superiority complex which they are known for (even on another man's land). SS is aware of this and just because you are not aware does not mean you can use yourself to generalize for the vast majority of your people who already are aware.

The south south with the exception of Asaba people, who are Igbos and proudly identify as one are not our kin. It's better to recognize that these are not people you can form alliance with.

Imagine people who would rather die at the hands of marauding Fulani's than form alliance with igbo's for the emancipation of the christian south. This is not a surprise because the igbos thrive on aggressive competition and meritocracy, these they term domination. In every forms life, there exist hierachies ,you cannot deny that the Igbo's proudly sit on top of the food chain as a result of an ingrained culture of hard work and diligence.
