Hello landed seniors and everyone.

I have an enquiry to make about how well these certifications can help me transition once i land (9 months post AoR now).

1. PPAC (pension plan administration certificate)

2. CEBS (certified employee benefits specialist)

Reason being, i have experience in pensions and benefits and would like to transition (if that's the word), once i land in canada into that industry.

Anyone here taken any of those exams above, can help shed more light on it. How easy is it to get jobs in such industry once landed? Cus i heard lotta demotivating talks that only Canadians can work in their pensions and benefits industry based on trust issues.

I will be open to listen to any advice on this.

Lastly, can these above certifications be of use in other financial sectors apart from pension and benefits? Thank y'all.

Hello guys!

If one receive 100% gift deed from a sister today. Can he/she go ahead, fix the money and also print the statement and do gift deed all today as he/ she intend to submit Ontatio application tomorrow (friday).

Will there be issues?
For OINP i dont know. bt for EE, that's what i did when i got gift deed from my parents....transferred the funds to me in a day, i fixed it in an investment house same day, then got my ref letter and investment certificate the next day and also submitted that day. In all of these, I printed my statement of account to show these inflow and outflow to back up documentations submitted.

your pof is just 13k. You have Chinese and Indian investors and immigrants bringing bringing in billions for buy up all the houses in Ontario and BC. Those are the people they care about for now. Like they did last year they should start fsw draw soon. Just be hopeful. The former Somali born immigration minister is far better than this current clueless one. It is well
You understand this matter wella bro. This one no try at all.

So this means one must have an existing account with first bank before they are able to create the virtual card right?

Also, the card been created is it a naira or dollar virtual card?

I anticipate your response. Thank you
Yes, you must. I think it's a naira card, cus all i could see beside my balance is the Naira sign. I also used the FirstMobile app, not FirstMonie.

What you mention sounds like ASSESSMENT at the beginning of the GCMS document. See here for help in understanding your GCMS doc: https://www.justforcanada.com/gcms-notes-understand-guide.html

Review Required could be nothing.........but it could also be the sign of a problem.

Pls read your most recent GCMS towards the very end of the GCMS document you'll see several notes......most recent being NOTE 1 followed by NOTE 2 etc to see if they referred to any area in particular.

Type "gcms notes review required analyst" into google, view images to see examples of what the case analyst notes looks like when they indicate RR. The wonderful thing about GCMS is that it gives us an opportunity to address whatever is written as a concern, if any.

If you didn't not pay RPRF with your application fees at the beginning, I don't think you can pay it on your own midway through your application. You will need to wait for instructions from IRCC to pay. See here:

https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1396
To add to the great advice given, you can actually pay your RPRF without it being requested for. See link below

https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/ols/login.do?mngRdr=true

Create an account and follow the instructions to pay.

I don’t think you can pay if it isn’t requested and this usually happens when your eligibility is in progress.
You actually can. There is a separate web link dedicated to that, and you'll be creating an account to do that. See link below to create an account and follow instructions to pay.

Maybe you should try pin change with the PIN. I also experienced this.

But is your card showing "limited use" like mine?
My card also shows "limited use". Tho i read somewhere that monthly cap is $2k.

I tried creating mine but when I tried accessing the card and inputted my pin it said pin invalid. Did anyone experience this?
Try using same pin as that of your present ATM card. That's what i used and i didn't encounter any error while creating the card.

Funds in my account were automatically linked to the card too.

The card I created has a "limited use" on it. I haven't been able to make a payment.
Is it right?

Do you have a current or savings account linked to the visa card?
I use a savings account. I already have a master's card for same account.

[quote author=MNTS0 post=102276698]Hi guys!

So I just wanted to share an easy way that I used to pay for my WES.

I tried the barter by flutter wave option, but the exchange rate I saw was insane!! I think #501/$ or something close.

So I created a virtual card with my First Bank mobile app. It was pretty easy and they charged me #215.

I got a VISA card and it was attached to my account. I proceeded to pay for WES and it went through.

They charged me #75,042 for $230. That's like #326/CAD. I think it's cheaper than Barter.

@MNTS0.....God bless you brother.

This method works. I paid this morning and I was charged 328/CAD. Thank you for such vital info in times like this. Seamless method it is.

Whether PPR or ITA, may what we want fall on us accordingly.

GOD bless you munchos! @MNTS0

I made a payment this money via this method and I was charged 328/CAD.

This method is a life saver. Thank you very much. Thanks to everyone making life better via sharing vital infos such as this. PPR and ITA fall on us all according to our needs.

They should be more responsive than Lagos VFS though, try calling/emailing to follow up, or maybe it's not VFS delays now but the VOs....na wa!

Every stage of this EE is a battle.....
To pass IELTS, to conquer TEF, school & transcript, hustling of POF, in some cases convincing of spouses....all this is without COVID.

Then COVID came with PPR delays, expiring travel restrictions....

#GodHelpUs
#CoronaCome&Go
That line... "Every stage of this EE is a battle"... is very valid...

The Vet will evaluate his degree with the medical body in Canada( he has to research what the body is )to be able to claim points for Masters. He can’t use WES and the likes.
He can use WES for immigration purposes (speaking from personal experience), but for practicing in Canada, i doubt WES will pass.

As a vet he might need to use a different body to evaluate (for example, medical drs must evaluate using MCC), might not be WES, please do some research on that. Also check the same for nurses... For the other questions please go thru page 1 in full and you will get all the info you need.
Thanks for the advice. but to calrify, VETs can use WES. No issues.

We even messaged them twice on Twitter, make several calls to their office, still it’s a brick wall. Is this a normal occurrence? It’s MOD IDP by the way.

Barter rate is terrible. You need about 80-90k to make a successful payment. Cos their US DOLLAR rate is #475. Don't know about CAD DOLLAR
Barter rate is black market rate. If you have an alternative to it, use.

Did my ECA Long ago n I am asking for a friend about this Barter by flutterwave...She has 72k in the account and the transaction was declined by WES ($230CAD).

Is it the balance that is not enough? How much more money should she add to her barter card? Is there there any explanation why d card didn't work? Thanks
Use a barter $$$ card. 72k isn't enough. Try 85k.

Do not use flutterwave Barter o... be warned. There are restrictions on what you can use your Barter dollar card for.. it's not gonna work on CIC.
Also you WILL lose money. The dollar buy rate is lower than sell , so if you try and it fails, your money will never remain the same again (lol). My own is still paining me
What sort of terrible advice is this?? I used barter/flutterwave for my payment. I also helped 2 persons in paying their fee just over the weekend...They have a card that carters for such payment... Can we be super sure of info b4 dishing them out? No money will be lost... Infact i get AoR/CoAT even b4 the funds are deducted from my barter card... Let's be guided.
