So you mean one can use pension account for POF? If so, that’s new
Yes you can use 25% part of your pension funds which by Nigerian law is accessible to you when the need arises for it... And by the way it's not new... Just take your time to read page 1 wella... Gracias!

Good evening everyone, please i need some clarification.

For WES verification, can we use a WAEC result that has 5 credits that does not include English. He has maths and other subjects except English. Meanwhile the GCE he did that had English was while he was in polytechnic already. His poly accepted the waec without English for his course. He wrote waec in 1998,got admitted into poly 1999,wrote gce 2000,graduated from poly 2001.

Or do we verify both waec and gce results
To answer your question... WES doesn't evaluate the grades in your waec, it's just a prerequisite to evaluating any degree that was obtained in Nigeria...

Yes you can use the WAEC result without the English pass.

Hello good people,

i have a request from anyone/everyone who can help.

i have learned a lot here but now my knowledge is being tested by a Canadian resident who also happens to be like an uncle to me.

he dared me to provide anyone who got PPR using ICAN/BCS to claim 2 or more certificates, without having any issues or ADR on points claimed under ECA.

cc: @ladymarshall @topsmamen

the catch of this dare is to help out with all funds involved except PoF on this journey.

i appreciate everyone here.

thanks

Good day everyone like I said I'm new on this thread , I did a little bit of research on the immigration program but couldn't get good information . I wish someone can answer the following questions for me .

- What are the chances of someone with a bsc in architecture getting through in this immigration program

- Can someone without a degree but a minimum of school cert get this

- There are some terms used here which I don't really understand e.g WES , CES etc .

- Also is it a must to take the IELTS before applying or I can do that as I go on with the application .

Thanks for your time .
Hi, not to sound harsh but page 1 is your go to page for all concise info about this journey... Take out your time if possible days to get familiar with page 1.

For now it will be based on personal preference, we can compare after ICES states their new requirements.
Is ICES about to change their requirements?

You only have to send your HND certificate and O'Level to Wes. (There is someone here who helps with WAEC).

For IELTS, I have no doubt that with your HND Distinction, this would be a walk in the park for you.

Good luck!
Sorry to ask o... Why only his/her HND cert? I thought the idea is to claim points for 2 or more certs... Or does having a distinction nullify the ND amd still claim point for 2 or more cert?

Good morning everyone,

Pls I will like to ask everyone opinion on my chances for Express entry/federal skilled worker as I am about to thread on this pathway.
My profile below,

I'm 28yrs old single
A medical laboratory technician with 6yrs experience,
Qualifications is OND (3yrs diplima)

I'm actually concerned about my qualification because all profiles i see here are BSC etc.
I will appreciate your responses all.
Thank you
Hi,

I will try to answer to the best of my knowledge as those before me helped out too.

1. page 1 is your friend and companion for all your questions, as all you just need to do is familiarize yourself well with page 1 enough as much as you do your holy books... lol

2. To be candid, your OND alone cant get you required point, i think you need to register for professional certificates such CIMA or others so as to get evaluated for 2 or more degrees.

3. write and ace IELTS to the best of your knowledge so as to get a good aggregate score when you are ready to dive into the pool.

Seniors in the house can also weigh in on this and add whatever i must have missed out... but all in all page 1 is your go to for all your questions.

ICES now use WAEChuh Or maybe I'm mistakened? Pls help expatiate on this.

We all await your reply on this.

Spot on boss. What Mamaroon was trying to explain was that you should select the NOC which you feel is a top NOC in demand by popular provinces between the two as your primary NOC so as to stand a bigger chance of being nominated by a province. You may not bother about that if you have a very high CRS with your combined work experience.
Thanks for the additional info.

How do i know which NOC is in popular demand by provinces so as to stand a nomination chance?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by mobenjackson(m): 10:31am On Jun 12, 2019

Please ensure both NOCs qualify for FSW i.e O,A,B.
Thank you for your response.

Both NOC does fall under O,A,B.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by mobenjackson(m): 8:43pm On Jun 11, 2019
Mamaroon:
I asked a similar question recently....my understanding is that you can choose either....you may want to choose the NOC that may be in-demand in any of the provinces, depending on how high your CRS is. Good luck.
Thank you for your swift response...

So what you mean is i can claim maximum points for both NOCs totalling 3 years or more so far i can provide references which shows i actually worked in both places?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by mobenjackson(m): 8:20pm On Jun 11, 2019
I'm baffled a bit about the NOC points...

If i have 2 different NOCs which spans over 3 years work experience (1st NOC is 2yrs and 2nd NOC is 1yr), which one am i gonna claim points for during my application or when I'm simulating my CRS score or is it both so far i can get their respective reference letters?

My PPR JOURNEY PART 2 - IELTS (a.k.a The humbler of men)

Let me start by saying that IELTS showed me shegeeeey! Again error go dey breekete for this write up wella cheesy

First attempt. 05/Jan/2019..BC
LRWS.. 7.5,,6.5,,6.5,,7

I went to this exam with all excitement that we were about to enter the process. I never envisaged what was coming, only if we can see the future.

Second attempt 09/Feb/2019.. BC.

I practised soteey, I almost finished all the listening test on YouTube.

Hia!! It came out. embarassed
LRWS.. 9,,8,,6.5,,7.5
Remark unchanged... I na-anukwa!!

At this point, i lost confidence in myself. Just like what people say "I have never failed any exam in my life". Not just that I have never failed any exam until IELTS, I have never been an average student. With the help of my husband, I dusted myself and registered for another.

Third attempt.. 27/APRIL/2019..BC

A friend advised me to register with MOD. Stubborn me! I say na the same thing everywhere. A na-emenu!

This time, i practised only writing. I reached out to Wasseynewest and joined his group, the guy is a Saint, I must say. I learnt a lot from him.
I also reached out to Johnnybravo who was very busy with other candidates at the time. He had a session with me. He said that my writing was good to fetch me 7 at least. I said to myself "IELTS na me and you for one leg trouser". I must pass, Iwu!!

Brethren!
It came out...
LRWS.. 9,,8.5,,6.5,,8
I am still awaiting the remark ni! lipsrsealed

So Sad. huh
Infact, I felt worthless.
I cried eeeh. When I see sample writing on IELTS, I just wondered what I did wrong. I thought i had always written what could atleast fetch me 7.
Dusted myself the 3rd time, and quickly registered for another IELTS.

Fourth attempt.. 23rd May 2019

This time I registered with MOD.
A friend chatted me up one day that he had an IDP writing material. He said that he would share the material on one condition, that I must unlearn all the writing techniques or whatever I had learnt and study the 200 paged materials to the teeth. I agreed and promised too. After all, what did the ones I learnt fetch.
Na so I read this material bumper to bumper and line by line without thinking of Jay, Liz etc.
On the test day, I must say this was
one of most stressful days of my life. I had to take all the tests same day. I came out of the exam hall downcast and unfulfilled about my writing.I was just blabbering during my speaking test was supposed to be the next day. In my mind, I was planning on the next date to repeat the exam. I started practicing for writing since that day, I focused on Jay and was looking forward to 29th June to write another one because I was not giving up.

Today, I woke up early and broke down in tears cry. My husband consoled me soteey he tire. When it was 11am, I started purging and developed fever. I thought "My God, why have you forsaken me". Meanwhile, i
hadn't checked my result ooo.

At 12:20pm, Mbanu! Why am I doing this to myself ni!
Brethren!
I checked.. Lo and behold!

LRWS... 9,,8.5,,7,,7 grin

My people, I can't describe the joy. The purge stopped, the fever vanished.
Indescribable joy..WHAT A RELIEF!! I wonder what PPR will feel like. lipsrsealed

Venorite and Yemblaze, God will do it for you guys too. kiss
For all those who are still in the struggle, never give up.

If you need that IDP material feel free to send me Pm. I will share because it worked for me.
NB.. It is IDP material so therefore write with MOD because I don't know if BC will follow same technique.

The feeling eeh! Chaii!
Chukwu daalu!! To God be the glory.
Congrats... It's all gonna end in praise... Just sent you a PM.

I had earlier asked from people who did this and they confirmed ICES also evaluates OND and HND as 2 or more. OND is 2yr diploma
HND as 4 years advanced diploma.

I am so eager to hear your personal confirmation on this...

1. No. I have not seen anyone yet who has evaluated ND/HND as two or more certs with ICES. Use WES instead to get 2 or more certs

But perhaps you might be a trendsetter in this thread. We love trendsetters. Can you try it? If it comes out positive, then you will be our reference point. if it comes out negative, then it will re-confirm it and you can use WES finally.

Read more here to make up your mind https://www.nairaland.com/3999848/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/1#59645806 and here https://www.nairaland.com/4843199/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/286#74437123

2. Yes, based on the assumption that you will use WES.
Thanks @ladymarshall... I am very grateful fpr your response and that puts my mind at rest so i can fully study for my IELTS to clinch maximum CRS points pending when I'm ready to dive into the pool.

One last question Ma, when WES evaluates certificates, do they evaluate based on degree or class of graduation... i.e : like upper credit or 2nd class upper gets more point than lower credit or 2.2huh
