TheMinimalist:I know. I never said he was killed because of his skin color. Here is what I actually said regarding that part. Despite what people say, they do not discriminate between blacks and whites. They shoot like it's no one business. It's just that the death of blacks tend to make the news. From what I've read, they even kill more whites than blacks. It's just that the there is a stereotype that they kill blacks more, which is why black shootings always make the news. |
Most of us will appreciate the Nigerian Police if we know how much American police officers kill unharmed civilians over there. Despite what people say, they do not discriminate between blacks and whites. They shoot like it's no one business. It's just that the death of blacks tend to make the news. And they don't even attempt to lie and call it accidental discharge like ours do over here. Rather, they accuse the victim of one hilarious [and often false] wrongdoing that doesn't justify their excessive use of force just like in this instance. Even if this guy had a gun, there is no reason why he should have been shot 20 times. Rest In Peace Nigga. |
Exmay:You are very right about this. In fact, this is how it happens most of the time. But in certain instances, like this one where someone raised serious allegations after a loss of life, the affected staff is usually suspended. This UCH incident is a very similar to another that happened in Queensland, Australia. The doctor was suspended after allegations were raised against him. The coroner investigation came after his suspension. A Queensland doctor has been suspended after the death of a patient 10 days ago at the Murgon Hospital in the South Burnett. |
Exmay:I should have written under suspicious and sometimes, controversial, circumstances. |
"...with poor compliance to medications" This is nothing short of a poor attempt by UCH to absolve itself of any blame. Was there any internal investigation before this statement was released? Standard practice dictates that in case of any incident leading to death, the affected staff(s) are supposed to go on paid/unpaid leave [depending o the circumstances] until investigations is concluded. SoldierBoy1:You won't understand what you just wrote until you are admitted to a government hospital. Here in the SW, staff have a very attitude towards patients. Everything is about money and bribery, if not, you're getting nothing. The staff were very friendly in the north [where I served], unlike the hostile ones here in Lagos but there were not enough equipment and facilities for them to work with. Even the ward was crowded but they gave me a special space in their store [it's actually a ward but contains damaged and incomplete equipments] where I slept during my stay. |
pedrilo:I almost replied you in kind until I remembered that I don't quote more than two dunces every week and I've quoted two already (both on Monday). Please, check back early next week. |
okaynigeria:Thanks. Seen. I don't understand Hausa though but the video is scary. Terrorists turned heroes overnight. I don't see any girls though. |
heendrix:I noticed it too. The picture is most likely a fake. More like a still from a BH propaganda video, judging by its poor quality. The top has also been cut, probably to remove the BH logo at the top. The news is only carried by this okay.ng blog. |
EmmaJohn12345:You already know your problem. All you need is to turn away and leave. It will be hard especially if you have no source of income, job and skills. Family members can help you out too but not forever. I was hoping to apply for SSC when it comes out this year and become a commissioned officer but I have already changed my mind about that. I can only go for the shortlisting but it will just be for the fun of it. I won't go even if I am shortlisted. The Nigerian Armed Forces and paramilitary especially the Army and Police are too messed up for the NCOs. Even the so-called officers especially the junior ranks without strong godfathers and top-ranking parents are not finding it easy. One more thing: Ignore those IPOB dudes. All they do all day is trolling around and constituting a nuisance to themselves and the forum. |
Anyone with common sense should know that the letter was forged. Even if it was true, what kind of company sacks an employee because she is married and still puts it in writing? |
i use [or used, not sure if I still do] to have passion for poultry business but I seem to have lost interest in it of late. I don't think it is as profitable as most people make it seem. We need more replies from people that are already into the business. |
4llerbuntu:At least, it still opened. It didn't open here. |
CarlCare, that scammer customer service. I don't know which is more useless between it, Tecno, Infinix and itel. Its yeye engineers are fond of slamming prices on parts. Worse is that most of them are not even knowledgeable about what they do. To prove how useless they are, their site isn't even opening. And those tomtoms shouting "wow" "wow" up there like sirens, have you bothered opening the site? |
IAmAirForce1 Please inform E Money of the latest development. |
chinawapz:You need to know the difference between "I am", "am" and "I'm", if you want prospective clients to take you seriously. I'm is the contracted form of I am the same way can't and shouldn't are the contracted forms of cannot and should not. So it should be I'm a good writer or I am a good writer and not am a good writer. |
ifyan:That's how most women behave. They are usually quick to claim victim. The fact that she bothered having a divorce party is enough evidence that she is pained. |
I first read about blue and green chicken eggs about five years ago. Besides the color of the shell, they are no different from the regular brown eggs. The nutritional value of a chicken egg is dependent on the food the chicken eats and not the color of the egg. |
Another attempt at whisking Nigerians off their money through the voting process. I have never watched this show and I don't intend to. Not even by mistake. |
hajoke2000:The answer is c - should. |
The money is small and wouldn't be enough to maintain the hostels. But the problem is this: will an increment in hostel fees guarantee an improvement in the situation of the hostels? I mean confirmed improvement and not some eye-service renovation works. If no, the fees should be left alone. If yes, it would be increased. Nigerians are not against an increment in fees most of the time. It's just that most increments are just increments and not utilized towards the improvement of whatever product/service it was paid for. |
BankeSmalls:This statement is funny even though it shouldn't be, considering the topic. ![]() I saw an accident tonight too. I don't know what happened but a tricycle (keke marwa) was in the gutter, lying with its side, and there was blood stain in its front, around that side that the front passenger sits. |
