OmoManU:
PDP is a party of fraud so it is expected, ever since the guy was outdollared in Port Harcourt, the dude has lost all interest in the party and even if he doesn't engage in anti party activities towards the general election, it is sure that the guy will never work for the party with all his heart. And right now, the FG has made it very difficult for Atiku to bring in his illegal money from overseas and also his likes and cronies, next is for them to turn into the purse of a rich state like Rivers but unfortunately i don't think Wike will be willingly wish to give them the key to the vault just like that.
So all those shouting Atiku and expecting huge stash of money to fall on their laps will realize there won't be such this time around, all the hundreds of millions of dollars Jona spent during the last election will not be possible this time around, I won't be surprised if PDP finds it difficult to gather up to 10m votes comes to the day of the elections.
Compound hypocrite, Be mindful of your APC and let is solve our problem in the PDP. Why are you all crying more than the bereaved these days? Wike was outdollard just as Atiku and Kwankwaso was outdollard in 2015, by Ameachi and Fashola. You guys are.not only shameless but pathetic. Imagine how you have now carried Wikes case as if its Tinubu matter thats tabled here. Bros Wiked can never and wil never work for APC. To say PDP are betrayers is really funny, When the Party you support have not only denied promises it made to public but went a step further to betray everyone that helped them attain power. Bros there are morethan enough crisi in your prefered APC, from Imo, Ogun, Ondo, Zamfara, Adamawa, Kebbi and so on, pls concentrate on those and allow PDP fix theirs. Ojokokoro gbemo gbemo

Herdsmen killings: We lost 350 members in one month –COCIN president…
Posted by ELECTION NEWS on NOVEMBER 14, 2018
Gyang Bere, Jos
President of Church of Christ In Nations (COIN), Rev. Dachollom Chumang Datiri, said the church lost 350 members to Fulani herdsmen attacks at Regional Church Councils (RCCs) in Ropp, Rim and Gashish, in Barkin-Ladi and Riyom Local Government Areas of Plateau state, in one month.
He lamented that despite their complaint and public outcry to Federal Government, nothing has been done to stop the attacks and alleviate the pains and agony of over 38,000 members, made up of women, children and the aged, who were displaced during the June 2018 attacks.
Rev. Datiri said this yesterday, at the 95th General Church Council meeting of the church, at COCIN Headquarters Jos, Plateau State.

“I reported, in the last GCC, the rampant and destructive attacks on communities by some Fulani herdsmen, the disturbing and blatant attempts to change the narrative…
“In June 2018, there was a step up in the activities of the attackers and they killed about 350 innocent people and sacked several communities in RCCs Ropp, Rim and Gashish.
I called on government to take her primary and constitutional responsibility seriously and guarantee the security of life and property of her citizens. That seems to have fallen on deaf ears. There have been isolated attacks and killings almost on a daily basis as well as destruction of farmlands.”
Rev. Datiri called on President Muhammadu Buhari to take critical steps by directing the Inspector General of Police to take prompt and appropriate action to end the preventable attacks and the senseless killings based on his promise when the Church visited him at the Presidency on November 6, 2018.

Please those of you who are very close to Tosin Adeda, Deputy Secretary of Digital Media Practitioners. Should advice him to google up the number of churches and christians murdered in clod blood. Maybe that would help him grow some conscience.

Tosin Adeda, Deputy Secretary of Digital Media Practitioners, here are some more reason Bishop. Oyedepo is always critisizing Buhari.

We know when a man sells his conscience for a mere plate of food, truth becomes too expensive fpr him to swallow. I just read the post about one Tosin Adeda, on why Bishop Oyedepo seems to be obsessed with critisizing Pres. Buhari.
Well since truth is now a very scarce commodity in the Nigerian space, I decided to put up this post to remind Mr. Adeda and his gang of supporters, who are trying too hard to play the Ostrich on why the highly respected Bishop is a torn in Buharis flesh.
So what is Bishope Oyedepo’s problem with Buhari?
I will let you be the judge.

•86 bodies seen, 50 houses burnt — Police; Army confirms 56 dead

•Northern CAN seeks arrest, prosecution of perpetrators
•13 killed as Ebonyi/C’ River inter-communal conflict escalates

ABUJA—No fewer than 120 persons were weekend killed in several villages in Barkin Ladi, Mangu and Riyom local government areas of Plateau State in fresh attacks by gunmen suspected to be herdsmen, while over 200 others sustained gunshot injuries.
However, Commander of the Special Military Task Force, Major General Anthony Atolagbe, last night confirmed that 56 persons were killed.
Major-General Atolagbe, who spoke from the bush where he was directing operations to apprehend the perpetrators, also said three of the killers had been arrested, adding that they confessed to participating in the killing.

“The suspected killers have been giving useful information about others involved in the killings and their hideouts. We are going all out for them. Also, troops have been deployed to ensure normalcy is restored,” he said.
This came as 13 persons also lost their lives in an inter-communal conflict between two communities in Cross River and Ebonyi states.
The scale of destruction in Plateau, which also led to burning of houses, compelled the state government to declare a dawn-to-dusk curfew in the affected local government areas to stave off further killings.
But Plateau State Police Command said at press time last night it had counted 86 bodies, asserting that it could not ascertain the actual number of casualties since some families took away bodies of their loved ones without notification.
Vanguard gathered that heavily armed gunmen invaded the affected villages, including Exland, Gindin Akwati, Ruku, Nghar, Kura Falls and Kakuruk, all in Gashish district as well as Rakok, Kok and Razat villages in Ropp district of the local government area, shooting sporadically, killing people, injuring others and setting structures ablaze.
The latest attacks sparked off protests by the youths who barricaded roads along Mangu Halle in Mangu Local Government Area, protesting incessant killings in the area.
Another burnt house at Gashish, one of the villages attacked. Photos by Marie-Therese Nanlong.
An eye-witness, Masara Kim, who narrowly escaped being killed in an ambush while returning from a funeral service near Kura Falls, explained: “The attack occurred a few metres away from a military checkpoint in Kafi Abu village. The attackers opened fire on the convoy of sympathizers and bullets hit a vehicle which I was travelling in, injuring one person.
“At least four other travellers were critically wounded in different other vehicles. In one vehicle, the driver and another woman were shot in their legs. Another driver carrying over five passengers was shot in the arm, resulting in the car crashing.
“All on board fled into the bushes amid heavy gunfire. The attackers by their looks, were herdsmen.”
The pastor in charge of Church of Christ In Nations, COCIN, Regional Church Council, RCC, Rop in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, Pam Chollom, said majority of those killed in the attack that lasted several hours were mourners.
He said: “Herdsmen attacked our members who attended the burial of the father to one of our clergy, Baba Jakawa, at Gidin Akwati, Gashis district. Late Jakawa was aged over 80 years, a committed member of COCIN, so his burial attracted many sympathisers.
“The armed men ambushed the sympathisers on their way back from the burial, attacked and killed 34 persons from Nekan village, 39 others from Kufang, and 47 people from Ruku village. As we speak with you, many others are still missing in the bushes.
“The sad incident started at about 1:00 p.m., and lasted still about 8:00 p.m. yesterday (Saturday).
“We informed members of the Special Task Force (STF) on Jos crisis. They went to one of the villages, but the attackers had committed the havoc and left.”
Spokesman of Operation Safe Haven, Major Adam Umar, said soldiers were immediately deployed to the affected villages, following sporadic gunshots which drew the military’s attention.
He said: “There was an incident yesterday (Saturday) in Barkin Ladi, some attackers stormed the general area and started shooting sporadically.
“The sound of the gunshots attracted our personnel, they immediately mobilized towards the area the gunshots were coming from. On reaching there, they came under heavy fire. The incident is still ongoing though under control.
“There are casualties because there were gunshots and fire-fight between our personnel and the attackers but for now, the number is not ascertained.”
It was learned yesterday that many people were still trapped in the bushes, as sporadic shooting continued yesterday.
Those evacuated were said to have been taken to Jos University Teaching Hospital, JUTH, for treatment.
Acting Public Relations Officer of the hospital, Mr. Haruna Manzo, who confirmed this to Vanguard yesterday, said: “On Saturday, five people were brought with gunshots wounds, one was treated and discharged and four are on admission.
“On Sunday, 21 new casualties were brought and the total we received was 26, we don’t have any dead body here.”
However, Police Public Relations Officer in Plateau State command, ASP Mathias Tyopev, gave some figures, saying “we have recovered 11 corpses so far and deposited in a hospital.
“We can only account for 11 from Exland, Kura Falls, Gindin Akwati and some other villages. We are not working on speculations but on numbers we have but if somebody died and the relatives did not report to the Police, there is no way we can know. We have deployed enough personnel in Gashish district as we speak.”
Gov Lalong slams curfew
The attacks forced the state governor, Simon Lalong, to immediately return home from Abuja where he participated in the national convention of the All Progressives Congress, APC, which held at the weekend.
The governor, who condemned the attack, directed security chiefs to checkmate the assailants and appealed for calm, saying “government has fashioned out a lasting solution to the present challenge.”
Riyom, Barkin Ladi, Jos South LGs affected
The state government immediately imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew on Riyom, Barkin Ladi and Jos South local government areas, saying the move was to avert a breakdown of law and order.
The government in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Rufus Bature, said: “Movement is restricted from 6pm to 6am, except for those on essential duties.”
Also reacting to the attacks, the state’s Commissioner for Information and Communication, Yakubu Dati, has said the government was deeply pained that “despite concerted efforts which had led to the restoration of relative peace across the state, some unpatriotic elements are bent on disrupting the gains so far made.”
The statement condemned the attacks, assuring that government had mobilised the “full compliments of security forces that are restoring normalcy in the affected areas and the environs.”
PDP
Reacting to the development, Plateau State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, described the incident as “genocide” and called on the international community to come to the aid of the state.
In a statement issued in Jos and signed by the Publicity Secretary, John Akans, PDP said: “We received with rude shock the level of genocide going on now in Gashish District, Razat, Ruku Nyarr and Gana-Ropp, all in Barkin Ladi Local Government.
“We also note with great pains the dastardly attacks ongoing in many other local government areas in the state by the militias.
“We condemn in the strongest terms the level of continuous genocide of Plateau people. At the moment, Barkin Ladi is under siege with over 130 people feared to have been killed. As at time of this statement, the (SOM) CAPRO School of missions Gana-Ropp is under heavy attack by the militias.
“This unholy act of systematic genocide and the destruction of the cultural heritage of Plateau people must stop.
“We call on the international community to come to the aid of Plateau people as, besides the over 130 people killed, many are missing.”
CAN reacts
Also reacting, Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, in 19 Northern states and the Federal Capital Territory, Rev. Yakubu Pam, condemned the wanton killings of innocent villagers in restive communities of Barkin Ladi , Bassa and parts of Riyom local government areas in Plateau state.
Rev Pam in a statement issued in Jos yesterday, lamented that while the people of the state have started forgetting the memories of the past, the recent resurgence of attacks and killings of villagers in the restive communities of the affected three local government councils of the state should be condemned by all peace loving citizens of the state.
Pam, who commended the Plateau State government for the relative peace it has restored to the state in the last three years, challenged the government and security agencies in the state to bring the on going madness in the affected communities to an end as quickly as possible.
The Northern CAN leader alleged that crisis merchant who do not want the state to be at peace were at it again to plunge Plateau communities into another round of violence.
He urged security agencies to go after those that were hell bent on destroying the peace of the state.
Plateau CAN
In its reaction, the state chapter of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, in a message from its Chairman, Rev. Soja Bewarang, said: “The continued genocide going on now in Gashish District, Razat, Ruku Nyarr, Gana-Ropp, Shalong, Gwararza etc in Barkin Ladi Local Government and other communities in Riyom and Bokkos are very disheartening to say the least.
“The killings are becoming no longer herders and farmers again but deliberate attempt to conquer and occupy the land of the peoples’ ancestral heritage. CAN also notes with great pains the dastardly attacks ongoing in many other local government areas in the state by the herdsmen militias.
“CAN condemns in the strongest terms the continuous genocide of Plateau people. Barkin Ladi is under siege with more than 200 innocent precious human lives killed and countless driven out in the rains and left without shelter.
“CAN is also saddened by the news of attack on CAPRO School of Missions (SOM) in Gana-Ropp by the militias. CAN had yesterday made a statement concerning the incident at Mangu Halle as very unfortunate; commends the youth in Mangu and environs as well as youth in Riyom, Barkin Ladi, for their peaceful action that guaranteed peace or else things would have been worst. Commend some security agencies, religious and elders for efforts to calm the situation.
“The soil of Plateau smells with rotten dead bodies as a result of silent killings and besides, many people are missing. CAN mourns with the families and churches who lose their loved ones prematurely and untimely and calls on the government, the security at all levels to please rise and do the needful by discharging their constitutional responsibility of protecting lives and properties of its citizens.”
At press time yesterday, tension had started mounting at Anguldi, Zawan and Bukuru areas of Jos South Local Government Area of the state but no one was certain about the cause as residents were apprehensive and calling for security to ensure no life or property was lost.
Ebonyi
Meanwhile, about 13 persons were reportedly killed and two villages razed, also at the weekend, in the raging inter-communal conflict between the people of Ukele in Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State and their Izzi neighbours of Ebonyi State.
The conflict, which is caused by struggle for farmland along their common border, has been a recurring issue, particularly during yam and rice planting seasons and many lives have been lost to the conflict since 2003 when it first occurred.
The recent conflict started on Monday when a woman was reportedly shot in her farm and on Wednesday when some youths in Ipuolo village returning from a meeting were reportedly waylaid by their Izzi counterparts, leaving many of them with gunshot wounds.
Last Friday’s killings and burning of houses, according to Mr Vincent Egbe, the Community Relations Officer to Cross River State Governor, Senator Ben Ayade, started when some Izzi assailants invaded the venue of a peace meeting convened by the Divisional Police Officer for the Area and his Ebonyi State counterpart to find a peaceful resolution to the matter.
“We were already in the meeting venue waiting for the arrival of the DPOs from Yala and Izzi Local Government Areas when some youths invaded the venue of the meeting and shot into the crowd and wounded many people,” Egbe said.
He said Ukele youths mobilised and managed to repel the attackers and it was in the ensuing battle that the village of Nkaleke and Nduabonyi were razed and many people lost their lives.
“They are the aggressors and all our people have been trying to do is to find a peaceful resolution to the conflict, yet they keep launching attacks on us,” he said.
Mr Hafiz Inua, the Cross River State Police Commissioner, could not be reached on phone but the Police Public Relations Officer for the state police Command, Ms Irene Ugbo, said the Commissioner travelled to the area to restore calm.
According to her, the poor network is the reason it was not possible to reach the commissioner on phone.
In a telephone chat with the Divisional Police Officer of Izzi local government area of Ebonyi State, Ikechukwu Ogonna Nwenyi, who said he was not disposed to talk as he was in a battle zone, explained that no side could accurately said the number of those affected by the inter-communal conflict.
According to him, commuters are free to ply the road now “as we have opened up the road for access to everyone.”
On the claim by Cross River that 13 persons were killed by Izzi assailants, the DPO further stressed that there was no real figure of causalities on both side.
“The real figure is not ascertained; the figures of the causalities are not yet known; the road is now free to passersby and commuters. People are now free to go about their businesses,’’ the DPO said.

PoliticsBuhari’s Agric Policy Fails As Unemployment, Agribusiness Failures Rise by Modarun(op): 8:40am On Dec 03, 2018
By Femi Ibirogba
03 December 2018 | 4:24 am
As the year gradually comes to an end and the Muhammadu Buhari-led government winds down , Head , Agro -Economy Desk , FEMI IBIROGBA writes on how the country has fared in food security , import substitution , job creation and economic diversification .

• Economy mainly oil -based as 2017 agric GDP was 24. 44 %

The Agriculture Promotion Policy ( APP ) of the federal government, with the objectives of attaining food security, import substitution , job creation and economic diversification, has been described as a policy without the political will to execute , and hence , a failure .
The policy, spelt out in The Green Alternative, states, in part , that , “In 2016 to 2020 , Nigeria ’ s policy now needs to be readjusted to solve the aforementioned challenges . The go forward federal priorities ( in partnership with the state governments ) will be the following four : food security ; import substitution ; job creation ; and economic diversification .”
Food security
Production figure of the most consumed food item in the country, rice , has been a subject of controversy in recent time . The United States’ Department of Agriculture ’ s World Markets and Trade recently dropped a bombshell, saying that more than three million metric tonnes of rice had been imported into Nigeria this year . Its report also stated that Nigeria ’ s local rice production dropped from 2016 to 2018 compared to the situation in 2015 .
In view of this, the Country Representative and Regional Coordinator of Africa Rice Centre ( AfricaRice ) , Ibadan , Dr Francis Nwilene , cleared the air by revealing to The Guardian that Nigeria ’ s demand for rice per annum hovers around 7.8 million metric tonnes , while production still hovers around 5. 8 million metric tonnes.
Though this has generated hot arguments , it points to one fact, that Nigeria is far from being food self -sufficient, let alone being food- secure .
The Regional Coordinator of the Cassava: Adding Value for Africa ( C :AVA ) , Professor Kolawole Adebayo, while explaining how the government policy has failed , said he would not rate the government high either in diversification of the economy, in creation of opportunities in agriculture or in food security .
He admitted that the government has done some things, but has not done as much as one would have anticipated from a government that has, as one of the cardinal objectives, the aim of diversifying the economy through the sector .
“I think, as soon as the government saw that the oil price was getting better , it turns its face to the oil again rather than invest in the agricultural sector . Have they done any major investment in agriculture ? No. All that this government has done is tapping from the existing projects or ideas rather than creating a conscious set of investment ideas to drive agriculture as an alternative economic opportunity . I would not rate them high, ” said Professor Adebayo.
“If you want more money , then you have to invest , ” says an adage. That is an area that we have not got it right as a nation . The agricultural sector has been in a shambles for too long . And we have not made deliberate investments in extension services and rural infrastructure that would make the areas more attractive to young people. We have not put in place a marketing system that would encourage those who dare to go into agriculture to have certain markets for their produce , ” he added .
Without those investments , Adabayo insisted , there is no way any serious -minded government would say it has achieved diversification of economy from oil to agriculture .
Also explaining the inability of the government to make progress in the agro- economic sector , Professor Femi Mimiko , a former vice chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University , Akungba-Akoko , Ondo State , said: “There is no question about the fact that attaining food security is desirable . That the incumbent federal government has that aspiration is noteworthy. It is an indication that the government itself knows that the country is indeed in the throes of a food security crisis…”
Food security , Mimiko said , is part of the contradictions of the system that makes the federal government that has no farm anywhere to be superintending food production .
“That is the nature of the crisis of the unitary system we run, which will never be productive, because it runs against the grain of logic . I am a Comparative Political Economist, and I can tell you that the trend across the world is for countries to move more in the direction of sub -national autonomy , without which, it has become obvious, you cannot get the best from the people, ” Mimiko added .
Post-harvest losses in the country are traceable to non-induatrilisation of most of the crops . These losses are estimated to be nearly 40 % per cent of the agricultural products, especially in vegetables and fruits.
Poor financing and too complex funding schemes have also been identified as a barrier to food security , for almost all small -scale farmers are excluded , on the ground of process complexity of the facilities .
The Managing Director of Dizengoff West Africa, Mr Antti Ritvonen , had made this known on several occasions that without the services of financial lawyers and accountants on the side of the farmers, the requirements and processes are too complex .
Import substitution
Tomato paste , egg powder, exotic fruits and vegetables ( from South Africa to Shoprite ) , vegetable oil, maize for industrial and animal feeds production are still being imported. Industrial tools and machinery that local fabricators in the country are capable of producing are still imported in large quantity, because the government has failed to organise and empower the local fabricators to deliver local contents despite the Executive Order Five on local sourcing .
Prof. Mimiko said import substitution must be clearly articulated , adding , “this is not a new model of economic development . Indeed , it was in place in much of the 1970s . The hope then was that Nigeria was becoming what development practitioners were quick to dub as Newly Industrialising States ( NISs ) .
“But it soon became clear , by the time we had a burst in the crude oil economy, that import substitution industrialisation ( ISI) was only possible on the basis of high, stable, and sustained earnings from crude oil. You’ ll agree with me that we are hardly in any position to guarantee all of that now . ”
Professor Samuel Olakojo , a maize breeder at the Institute of Agricultural Research and Training ( IAR & T ) , Ibadan , said importation of rice has reduced because of the presence of some large-scale rice farmers.
However, he said importation of maize and wheat would continue to augment the local production because the majority of the maize farmers are small-scale farmers, and they are restricted by some factors.
The factors, he said, include stoppage of 50 per cent fertilizer subsidy emplaced by the last administration and planting of maize grains as seeds resulting in low yields .
Job creation
Pastor Reno Omokri had claimed that based on the last report on the unemployment figure by the National Bureau of Statistics ( NBS ) , 7 .9 million Nigerians were unemployed in 21 months of this government, and therefore , has failed .
NBS ’ s failure to release data on the current unemployment figure has also been interpreted as hoarding of the information to avoid revealing the alarming figure and the failure of the government .
More firms are closing operations in Nigeria and banks sack workers every quarter in the last three years , an Ibadan -based regional agric credit manager in one of the oldest banks in the country, who preferred anonymity , told The Guardian .
Olakojo said in term of job creation , the government has not done much . “ The little I can credit to the account of this government is that some multinational companies have come into the country and they are taking agriculture to a higher level, and they are able to employ some experts working with them . But a lot of their work is highly mechanised. That suggests they would not need many workers , ” he said .
Mimiko added that job creation , too , is so much of a challenge now , saying , “ But sincerely, why it is so is quite some surprise to me. I mean , in a country where you have so much needs – deficit in housing , a horde of uneducated youths, gaps in maintenance of public infrastructures , extensive arable land , and one huge population of about 200 million ! Why on earth should there be unemployment in the midst of these realities . I think what is required here is ability to think outside of the box .”
The government, he suggested , has to be creative in finding the requisite harmony among all of the listed variables to create the environment conducive to job creation . The interest rate, at double digits, can also not propel economic growth and job creation .
“These, I think are structural issues to address, rather than the spectacle of a whole Vice President gallivanting all over the place distributing five thousand naira to Nigerians, ” he said.
Economic diversification
Crude oil still remains the mainstay of the economy. The 2017 GDP of the sector was 24 .44 per cent . Agro-industrialisation has been crippled by deteriorating power supply , with agro-allied firms folding up, relocating or producing below capacity.
On this Professor Mimiko said that while the goal of economic diversification is laudable , “let me venture an opinion here . It is that shifting focus from hydrocarbon ( i.e . crude oil and gas ) extraction and export , to mining of solid minerals , does not amount to much of economic diversification . This is because ultimately here, you are still talking of expanding the parametres of an extractive, largely enclave sector . ”
He suggested that what should be done is a complete broadening of the scope and base of the economy, saying much of these things are not achievable in the context of the over -centralised governance system being operated .
“That is why the economy is not performing . It is why there is so much insecurity , and general disillusionment, ” he explained .
Olakojo said though the government appears to be making efforts to diversify the economy, the efforts have not yielded positive results to the gross domestic products.
The herder- farmer crisis is a major issue preventing significant contribution of the sector to the economy. Some farmers have shifted to planting of cashew that could not be destroyed by cattle . A good number of youths needed on the farm are motorcycle riders and politicians are not helping matters by empowering them with motorcycles and pepper grinding machines instead of helping them to farm and contribute to food production .
The fall army worm infestation since 2016 , Olakojo said , has added to the failure of agriculture to shoot up contribution to the economy. This is further aggravated by the climate change .
The way forward
Professor Mimiko said except and until the country de -centralises or restructures , the type of spurt of creativity – individually and corporately – that is requisite to massive expansion of the economy, is not going to happen.
“You are also not going to be able to have in place the structures of a strong , developmental state . What at best you ’ ll continue to deal with would be this rickety state system that is weak, lacks capacity and hegemony , and with little or no chance of getting anything accomplished, ” he added .
If the country must successfully create jobs , expand the productive capacity of the economy, diversify from the restrictive extractive industry, and bring about general state of. well being for the people, the government must start by addressing the structure of governance .
“If we do not, I assure you that Nigeria will only continue to do what Fela [ Anikulapo] called perambulation – motion without movement forward . Unfortunately, time is not on our side to continue on this journey to nowhere . The country is hurting, and our frustrated youths are becoming implacable, ” Mimiko advocated .
Whereas , Olakojo advocated investments in agricultural infrastructure, research and extension services , describing them as game changers in the sector.

Reports from Borno and Yobe states Saturday evening have it that Malumfatori in Abadam local government area of Borno state, Buni Gari in Yobe state, and Muna garage within Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, came under attacks by suspected members of the Boko Haram sect.
Although there is yet to be official confirmation of the attacks, residents and security sources in Yobe state have confirmed the attack in Buni Gari, saying that the terrorists laid siege to the town since 5:30pm this evening (Saturday).
It was not clear whether or not the terrorists have been repelled as text message to military platforms requesting confirmation to claims by residents and other sources was not officially communicated back as requested.
While some residents are saying that the siege is still on as Boko Haram militants have taken control of the town of Buni Gari, other sources said Nigerian Air Force fighter jets have arrived the town and with the combined ground troops disband the siege and repelled the insurgents who arrived in large number.
For the attack in Malumfatori, DAILY POST gathered that due to lack of network in the area efforts towards communication are on to get facts on ground from the military through other means.
A source in the Barracks told our correspondent that there was no report available yet on the attack.
Speaking on the attack on Muna Garage in Maiduguri, residents of the area said two female human bombs attempted to make an inroad to detonate their vests, but while they were sighted and security forces ordered them to stop, one of the girls detonated her vest killing herself while the other disappeared and is being hunted by security operatives within the city of Maiduguri.
Meanwhile, several calls made to the Yobe state Police Commissioner, Mr. Abdulmalik Sunmonu on his mobile phone for confirmation of the reports did not yield result as the calls could not connect as at the time of this report.

PoliticsGanduje Donates N10m To EFCC, ICPC In Honour Of Buhari's Anti-corruption War. by Modarun(op): 3:37am On Nov 27, 2018
The donation was made by the Governor for the first National Anti-Corruption Marathon organised by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Crimes (ICPC), Athletic Federation of Nigeria (AFN) and other stakeholders, in honour of President Muhammadu Buhari, for his fight against corruption.

Abdullahi Ganduje, Governor of Kano State, has donated N10 million to the organisers of the EFCC-ICPC Anti-Corruption Marathon.
A statement by Ameen Yassar, Director–General, Media and Publicity, Government House on Monday, disclosed that the donation was made when the Governor received members of the main organising committee in Abuja.
He promised that the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti Corruption Commission would collaborate with the organisers as an official partner, to ensure success of the event.
According to Ganduje, his administration not only engaged in sensitising the citizenry on the evils of corruption, but also reorganised and strengthened its anti-corruption agency to offer optimal professional services.
His words: “Before now, people find it difficult to access the services of the agency, but we established offices across the 44 local government areas so that the services can be available to the common man.
“We also facilitated the recruitment of additional personnel and subjected them to training by professional agencies like EFCC and ICPC so that they can deliver. We also ensured cooperation with these agencies and that attracted international organisations to support us in reinforcing our anti-corruption system."
He noted that as a result of the renewed professional and vigour of the state anti-corruption agency, highly-placed individuals such as permanent secretaries in the state civil service and a commissioner were removed and prosecuted for involvement in fraudulent practices.
Jacob Onu, leader of the delegation that visited the governor, told the Governor that the organisers intend to “use the image and popularity of marathon races to create massive awareness and bring together all segments of the Nigerian population in support of Mr. President’s fight on corruption in all facets of national life”.
“This will strengthen unity among the citizens of this country and also satisfy the desire to exploit and harness the abundant talent in our youth for national integration,” Onu added.
According to Onu, the campaign was aimed at raising national consciousness on the scourge and danger of corruption to the country and humanity in general.

Samson Folarin
The Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina , has been under fire for reportedly saying that military the world over does not give information on its casualties .
Also , a fact check showed that on the contrary , it is a standard practice by government of developed countries to intimate citizens on the number of casualties during military battles .
There had been conflicting figures on the actual number of deaths in the attacks by Boko Haram on the 157 Task Force Battalion at Metele , Guzamala , Borno State .
The military, in a statement , had confirmed the attacks and condemned casualty figures published in the media. It, however , refused to give the actual number of casualties .
Adesina , during a programme on Channels TV , Politics Today backed the refusal of the government and the military to give the casualty figure .
“ All over the world, the military does not or rarely discloses the figure of its casualties , ” he said.
Nigerians, including Twitter users, who took up Adesina on the quote , referred him to the US , UK , French and Canadian practice of declaring casualty figures .
A check by The PUNCH showed that the United States Department of Defence, on its website , gave up -to -date information on casualty figure in different US military operations.
The last update said in Operation Iraqi Freedom ( casualties that occurred between March 19, 2003 , and August 31 , 2010 , in the Arabian Sea , Bahrain , Gulf of Aden , Gulf of Oman , Iraq , Kuwait , Oman , Persian Gulf, Qatar , Red Sea , Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates) , a total of 4, 410 US military men were killed .

“ It is unacceptable to ignore or minimise the deaths of Nigerian citizens during elections . It is heart- breaking . This must change , ” Buhari had tweeted on January 13, 2015.
When contacted for clarification on the statement , Adesina did not pick his calls and had yet to respond to a text message sent to him as of press time.

Lol. We all know the only reason these brown roof hole inhabitans make alot of noise on this platform is simply down to the fact that each passing day the reality of them being lumped back into political obscurity after 2019 is gradually dawning on them. your case is similar to that of the trapped monkey whose hand were stock in a trap not knwing that the trap itself isnt the thing holding it, but rather his tight fist.
Bros pls stop crying morethan the so called bereaved Atiku/Obi and the South East. The man has never at anytime shown or gave an impression he cares about what empty vessels who have not been out of their region such as you guys think or do about his choice of V.P.
Walk the streets of Lagos and ask the ordinary man between Atiku and Buhari who is to blame for the hunger in the land and see a clear pointer of what is to come feb 2019.
What idiats such as you mistakenly think is that Osun and Ekiti is Nigeria lol. 2019 will not be between a naive and docile Goodluck vs Buhari, it will be between a seasoned politician and a failed well known incompetent Buhari. You guys can write up as much giberish concerning your fake fears for the future of Nigeria, but only your likes are decieving your selves. You were in the other thread hailing a Tinubu for rigging out the choice of Osun people but are now here in the same voice yapping your smelly mouths about national interest.
We knw all this rubbish posts is down to one thing and one thing only the desire to clinch the 2023 ticket. You dnt care that our soldiers are slaughtered like fowls after Buhari withdrew $1.5 Billion to buy arms, you dnt care that Nigerians are now the poorest in Africa, you dnt care that infant mortality is at a record high, you dnt care that B.H can now come and go with little resistance or that we are now the butt of jokes in Africa not even the world. All that matters is Yoruba presidency. Well noone cares about your selfish ambition, all we care about is sending the incompetent dead person appointing fossil back to Daura come 2019. The choice before you yorubas are join hands with the rest of the country to try and fix the problems, via restructuring and fresher newer ideas or become the proverbal fly that followed the corpse to the grave.
Come 2019, there will be no 45,000 policemen to rig for Buhari, no gullibles to lie to, no more brainwashing, cos the past 3 and so years is more than an eye opener.
I just pity you guys, must be extremely painful cos every passing day its increasingly becoming obvious Buhari will be sent back to Daura, why cant you guys just resign to your fate? Pls go ahead and commit the political suicide you have agreed to by voting the man that have failed, who said no to restructuring, favours cattle than human beings, appoints dead people. allow us help you hammer in the nails to your regions political coffins?
Funny enough the one time yorubas found themselves at the winning end of national politics they think they are now demi gods. Hahaha Una eyes go soon clear las lass.

Politics2019 Presidency: PDP Speaks On Some Of Governors ‘secretly Working’ For Buhari by Modarun(op): 11:59am On Nov 26, 2018
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has reacted to an emerging report that some of its Governors from the South East, South South and North East geo political regions were working for the All Progressives Congress, APC, to ensure President Muhammadu Buhar’s reelection in 2019.
The PDP described the claim as “self-delusion” on the part of the ruling party, adding that Nigerians were already tired of the APC and its presidential candidate, President Buhari.
The PDP governors were said to have been meeting secretly with key government officials and the leadership of the APC to plot strategies on how to deliver huge votes to the president in the 2019 general elections.
The PDP governors from the South-East and South-South are said to be particularly unhappy with the choice of Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra State, as running mate to Atiku for the 2019 presidential election.
DAILY POST had earlier reported that South-East governors had earlier fiercely opposed the Atiku/Obi ticket because they claimed it was against the promise, which Atiku made to them before to the party’s elective convention in Port Harcourt.
However, National Publicity Secretary of PDP, Kola Ologbodiyan, told New Telegraph that the insinuations by APC that some opposition governors were working for Buhari was an exercise in “self-delusion.”
He added, “APC and President Buhari are in self-delusion.
“Even all Nigerians are sick and tired of President Buhari and APC.
“Not a single PDP governor is campaigning for Buhari. It is just a rumour and it will remain as that.”

PoliticsDespite Buhari’s $1bn Approval For Arms, Soldiers Lament Obsolete Weapons by Modarun(op): 3:11pm On Nov 25, 2018
A few months after President Muhammadu Buhari approved $1 billion for the purchase of military hardware for the use of the Nigerian Armed Forces , some Nigerian troops have released a video deploring the poor state of their equipment.
In the five -minute video seen on Saturday , a soldier , while lamenting that dozens of troops had died in a recent attack , showed the burnt shells of several tanks and vehicles in the Metele base, which was attacked by the Boko Haram on November 18 .
“See the weapons they bring here. These are not working, ” he said .
“These are outdated vehicles, they are not working. They just keep them here for formality, ” said the soldier.
“Imagine , they are killing us every day . The situation is getting worse . ”
This is coming barely four weeks after the Army celebrated on its Twitter account the delivery of high -grade ammunition .
“The Nigerian Army has received a shipment of various ammunition to further enhance its operational capabilities and combat efficiency , ” the army tweeted on October 30.
In April 2018 , Buhari announced the approval of $1bn for the purchase of military hardware .
Buhari also in April approved the withdrawal $462 million from the Excess Crude Account ( ECA ) for the procurement of 12 Super Tucano aircraft for the army from the United States.
However, the soldiers said despite huge resources released by the government, the Nigeria military only supplies them with obsolete weapons , “ that can ’ t stand any good fight with Boko Haram .”
They were heard saying in the video that their commanders are using them to “ make money ” by deploying war tanks that have outlived their usefulness .
The Soldiers had in June protested being redeployed to a battlefront in the remote Lake Chad region after fighting Boko Haram jihadists for years without relief .
The release of the five -minute video underscores growing desperation among Nigerian troops .
The recent attack on the troops claimed several lives , while the Army did not release the number of casualties , reports have it that at least 44 soldiers were killed among whom was a lieutenant colonel.
Although the Nigerian Army and the president reacted to the killing five days after the attack , the army is , however , yet to speak on this video by the soldiers .
The military has , however , said in the past that it was committed to the welfare of its soldiers and was doing its best to provide the best weapons for them .

Iran CAN NEVER have a hand in Boko Haram. If you've read anything about the rivalries between Shiites and Sunnis, Saudi Arabia and Iran, Muhammad's uncle and his adopted son, you will understand why.

Boko Haram like Al Qaeda like ISIS are all Sunni Islam creations who are also enemies of Shiite dominated Iran. If any country is behind Boko Haram, it'll be Saudi Arabia, the best friends of Donald Trump and the home of Wahabbism in Sunni Islam
