Published on November 8, 2018 By Rasaq Adebayo Following an ongoing report on social media that the embattled Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, collapsed at the airport in Abuja, the party has debunked the rumour, saying the contestant in the last Osun gubernatorial election was hale and healthy In a statement released to DAILY POST by the Spokesperson of Adeleke Campaign Organization, Olawale Rasheed, the party declared that there was no time Adeleke left Abuja, let alone collapsing at the airport or any other place. It described the rumour as being totally false and mere propaganda to demean the party’s flag bearer. The statement reads: “Our attention has been drawn to an evil rumour circulating about the state of health of Senator Ademola Adeleke. We affirm that the people’s governor is hale and hearty. “As a distinguished senator and holder of the people’s mandate, Ademola Adeleke has been attending to statutory duties within and outside his constituency in good health and high spirit. There was no time the Senator suffers health failure either at airport or anywhere else. “We, therefore, urge our teeming supporters and the good people of Osun state to ignore any fake news purporting health failure on the part of the Senator. It is a product of warped minds and infantile imagination of usurper of peoples mandate. “All hands are on deck to regain the mandate of the people freely given on September 22. We owe Osun people that sacred duty.” http://dailypost.ng/2018/11/08/osun-pdp-reacts-ademola-adelekes-alleged-health-failure/

By Wale Odunsi The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Lagos State chapter, has alleged that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress, APC, government was buying votes ahead of the 2019 election. The PDP described the N10,000 Trader Moni as an inducement. In a statement on Wednesday by its Publicity Secretary, Taofik Gani, PDP accused the Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo of going round the country, with his recent being a visit to some markets in Lagos, doling out N10,000 cash to traders. The PDP stated that the Trader Moni empowerment scheme was “a clear action of pre-election vote-buying with the intent of buying the conscience of the traders to vote the APC in the state.” It also described Osinbajo’s visit to Afrika Shrine as “an obvious manifestation of desperation and jitters”. “We have no doubt that Lagosians will not vote the APC in 2019,” the statement read adding that traders could collect the money but they should vote their conscience. PDP also reacted to explanation by the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, that he was not funding Buhari’s re-election. The PDP alleged that Buhari gave Fashola three ministerial portfolios because the former Lagos governor funded APC presidential campaign in 2015. “This is one reason the President put Fashola, a lawyer, in charge of three hurriedly harmonised engineering ministries. “No wonder the three sectors he is in charge of have recorded very abysmal performances,” the party fumed. http://dailypost.ng/2018/11/08/2019-buhari-led-apc-govt-using-osinbajo-buy-votes-pdp/

By Azimazi Momoh Jimoh (Abuja) 08 November 2018 • ‘ Govt takes beneficiaries ’ PVC details , others ’ The Senate yesterday ordered an investigation into an alleged use of the Federal Government ’ s special intervention project funds for President Muhammadu Buhari ’ s re -election. In a motion yesterday , Senate Minority Leader Biodun Olujimi claimed that the funds had become “ politicised” as beneficiaries were being asked to write their names , gender and details of permanent voter cards ( PVCs ) . “Right now , the funds are being used for political reasons and they are being dispensed and given freely to those people who can bring up their PVCs . One of the forms is here with me. They are now using the funds meant for all Nigerians for political reasons . “This is one of the forms ( raising it ) , which has on it , ‘ I stand with Buhari ’ . It has a place where your PVC will be written alongside your gender and an attachment from Access Bank where money will be disbursed to you . “There is no corruption greater than people using our collective fund to maintain a political party . There is a need for a committee to be set up to look into this issue, ” Olujimi said. Senate Leader Ahmed Lawan, however , described the allegation as unfounded . But as he moved to disabuse the minds of his colleagues of any untoward use of the funds , the chamber erupted with shouts of “Point of order !” Efforts by Senate President Bukola Saraki to restore decorum failed for a while . Saraki subsequently gave the floor to Senator Dino Melaye to move his point of order . The Kogi West lawmaker asked that Olujimi ’ s motion should first be seconded before contributions are made . The chamber became divided along party lines , with Lawan requesting protection and an opportunity to state his point . Saraki agreed. “I listened attentively to the motion by Senator Olujimi . I want to say that the social intervention programme of this administration is transparent. For the first time in the history of social intervention programme in Nigeria , we have proof that anywhere you are in Nigeria , you can apply. ” Shouts about point of order continued. Senator Albert Akpan ( Akwa Ibom North East ) took the floor, raising Orders 49 and 52. He reiterated Melaye ’ s position for a seconding of Olujimi ’ s motion . He said contributions in support of the motion should be taken, after which lawmakers opposed to the motion would have the floor. Saraki disagreed and asked Lawan to finish his contribution. The Senate leader said he was not against whatever the chamber wanted to do with Olujimi ’ s motion but stressed : “The investigation should not be turned into a political weapon .” He told the Senate that Nigerians could still remember how the Sure- P initiative of the previous government allegedly failed . He requested the tendering of Olujimi ’ s document and called for an impartial enquiry. The Senate adopted the prayer that the probe should be apolitical and also called for an investigation into the Sure -P programme. https://m.guardian.ng/news/senate-probes-alleged-fund-diversion-for-buharis-re-election/ |
By Monsur Olowoopejo LAGOS—THE Lagos State Government, yesterday, seized no fewer than 30 cows and 10 rams found straying and grazing illegally on the road within Lekki axis, saying it has zero tolerance for such action in the state. The state government further warned herdsmen to desist from grazing their cattle on the roads saying such action threatens safety of road users. Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Olayiwola Onasanya, disclosed the number of cattle and rams impounded in an interview with Vanguard at his office, in Alausa Ikeja. Onasanya said: “If the owners come, they will pay fines to the government. We ensure that they don’t return to such act. We have a taskforce on ground to ensure that such doesn’t occur in the state. We are concerned about the safety of the residents in the state. To tell one just how senseless the APC zombies can be. They cnt even reason for themselves, they have to wait on Tinubu and their larty leaders to say something then they latch on it. Imagine a compound thief, drug convict and certificate forger like Tinubu went to AkwaIbom to say PDP did absolutely nothing in the sixteen years they ran Akwa Ibom state. Meanwhile ex. govs Victor Attah (1999 - 2007), and Godswill Akpabio (2007- 2015) were standing behind him clapping and cheering Tinubu on. Lol. |
sparko1:Incase you dnt knw we have tons of similar projects in honour to Zik scattered across the South East by State govts. with the most recent done by Okorocha. An Afonja cant decide for ibos whats more important. As you can see most Ibos say this is not important. The senselessness of this govt is legendary, so they expect Ndigbos to vote or support Buhari for completing this building? Hahaha. You guys are pathetic to say the least, so Afonja that rejected the renaming of UNILAG wants Ibos to maturbate on a senseless project like this? Hahaha |
TheAngry1:The fact he broke the embargo on Ibo Millitary officers leading the Army with the appointment of Ihejirika as COAS will always be cherished by Ibos. Morethan anything. Obama didnt do much for African Americans, but the fact he becamebpresident broke barriers. Only a compound fool would say this insequential building is an achievement. Based on your cluemess logic the Yorubas would prefer the building a masaleum for Awolowo over a Lagos - Ibandan railline abi? Olodo is not a talent bros. |
Adeyinka123:What is wrong with you guys and comprehension? Peter Obi blamed Fashola, Ameachi and many of the now ruling party leaders for taking the FG to court. Whats the difference? They were in the opposition and Buhari was a strong supporter of the Actions of the Governors opposed to savibg then. Bros you guys are truely pathetic, for one Ibos are smarter, they knw whats up. Just like Saraki said after leavibg your dead people appointing party, Every juicy project and post is shared between Tinubu Lagos and Buhari Relations. They Award Rail line in Lagos and build senseless building in Onitcha? Hahaha Ibos dont masturbate of clueless projects. Not even the North West, North East and North Central can brag of any meaningful project from this Afonja Tinubu/ Buhari relations ran govt. Come 2019 we shall send them back to where they came from. |
So if he did it out of great regards for Zik, question is why are the erats using it as a campaign tool? We rather be built a rail line from Onitcha to link the whole of the Eastern states then name it Ziks railline than an insequential building. They paid out $2.5billion for new port in Lagos, its this nonsense they want to use as a campaign project? These bunch of clowns think Ibos are like Yorubas who masturbated on their stupidity cos someone who marshalled a coup declared June 12 democracy day without senate confirmation? These Afonjas who have a problem with Ibos not being impressed by this nonsense post, should first off tell us why they rejected the renaming of Unilag by GEJ. #Clowns |
Buhari got over 2million votes from these middle belt/North central PDP strong holds, Kogi, Benue, Plateau, Kwara, Taraba,Southern Kaduna in 2015. For those Afonja claiming Tinubu delivered the presidency to Buhari, I hope you can now see who actually was key? Too bad they are now firmly in the pocket of the teeuly national party PDP. As for Tinubu erats relaying on Buhari rigging elections, we shall see how they will succeed in allocating votes from these states in 2019 after thousands of their people have been killed by herdmens. Hehehe pls you guys should stop giving Afonjas expos of what is to come nah ![]() |
I donblivit, but sha if its true, i hope Afonja can see what awaits Tinubu by 2019 after he is of no more use for them.. |
Please the rest of Nigerians in NL should allow the Yorubas finish themselves, they dnt knw that there is an already agreed decision by most Northerners to vote the PDP so as to complete the Yaraduas loat years in power. Hehehe This people are not only the most selfish and selfcentered, they brought their primitive clannish ways to the center. Nigeria is not Lagos o, Shey you people have not learnt anything from the political hot slaps Saraki gave Tinubu in Abuja? Shey una no learn say national politics is not amala politics? How many times do we have to sound it that your triballistic greedy ways is not wanted at the center? When Ibos and other tribes were at the center they didnt stop any part of the country from enjoying any govt policies unlike now that everything is centered in the SW(tinubu) and Buhari family members alone. Lol they dnt even knw they are the only one killing yourselves about Buhari. Pls my Nigerian brothers allow them to seal their spot in political oblivion come 2019. The damage has already been done, the people of the NCentral, North East, South South and East now see them for who they truely are, selfish greedy people willing to support the destruction of the nation so tbey can emerge president. Shey Una say una no want restructure again abi? Shey its now ok to sideline other tribes now abi? Dnt change that narrative o, remain where you are till after 2019. After the rest of the country send Tinubu and his zombies back to you region, we shall come back here to remind you all of the type of greedy selfish nonsense you posted on this platform. |
How many times do we hav to tell these APC Afonja e rats the South East is not like the South West? Not even Ojukwu can change the minds of the Ibos when they resolved to vote Atiku let alone those contracted Buhari snitch and dogs like Obiano and co. when the Ibos set their minds on something, just forget it. They are considerate, they are patient and straight forward, but when you take them for granted and they change their minds? nothing can change that even if it means death. The entire South East knows who their real enemies are and those trying so hard to push them into oblivion. They know its not the moderate Fulanis or Hausas, but Tinubu sponsored Afonjas. It matters not to you guys that most Ibos around Atiku after his truimphant win at the primaries never asked Atiku to pick their son, they never lobbied for the V.P post, infact they urged Atiku to pick Adeshina of the AfDB out of selflessness, yet you guys are running up and down trying to pull down Ibos. The know its the Afonjaa that are pushing the “Obi demolished mosques as governor narratives” on Islamic and muslim social media groups, they also know its Afonjos that are pushing all these APGA supporting Buhari lies, Unlike you they dnt just follow any rif raft, anybody they follow muat have theor collective interest at heart!!. They dnt care about your personalities if you step out of.line the Ibos would put you in your place. The Ibos already know your support for Buhari has nothing to do with Nigerias collective good, it has nothing to do with inclussive growth and developement of the entire country, They know Afonjas supporting Buhari dont care if Nigeria Burns down, it has nothing to do with savaging the country, but solely cos of Afonjas greed to produce the next president. The Ibos and by extention the entire South and North knw why you guys want this dispotic, incompetent, clueless, dead people appointing, certificateless certificate and Positive news forging govt to continue. Afonjas makibg this noise should note the PDP didnt win in Anambra for Stella Oduah to emerge, the PDP gave them Senate President, Finance, Aviation, Power, and the COAS most of you Afonjas said the Ibos should never be allowed to occupy. Not. Billion Arurumes, Obiano, Okoroacha, Ngigi can deliver the South East to APC. |
Deji Elumoye, Omololu Ogunmade, Shola Oyeyipo in Abuja As workers and their unions celebrate the N30,000 new minimum wage approved by President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday, analysts have expressed fear that the fresh wage regime could put inflationary pressure on the already fragile economy. Those who spoke to THISDAY said the 60 per cent minimum wage increase was likely to lead to a general increase in prices of goods and services in the short-term. One of them, the Chief Executive Officer, Financial Derivatives Company Limited, Mr. Bismarck Rewane, pointed out that the wage hike would lead to inflationary pressures. He said, “Productivity growth in Nigeria is still minus 0.7 per cent. So, an increase in the minimum wage and all other increases that would follow and it means that basically inflation is likely to increase. “Our projection is that inflation will go from 11.5 per cent to around 13 per cent because of the wage increase. “If you add the election spending and the promissory notes the government has issued for contractor debt of N483 billion; when we add the money supply of the contractor note, the minimum wage and negative productivity, you have an inflation.” When asked about the likelihood of an interest rate hike, he said, “Not really, because there is a transmission time lag between when money supply rises and when prices rise. “The transmission time lag is between three and six months.” Buhari had received the report of the National Minimum Wage Tripartite Committee yesterday in Abuja and approved the new figure, effectively ending the first phase of the workers’ struggle for pay increase. Receiving the report of the committee from its chairman, Ms Amal Pepple, in the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Buhari told members of the committee, the organised labour and government representatives that henceforth, he would put the machinery in place for the transmission of the new National Minimum Wage Bill to the National Assembly. The president, who said he was committed to seeing the new wage come into fruition, chronicled all the events leading to the final resolution, saying he was regularly briefed on updates on the negotiations. Promising that the government would continue to engage the organised labour wherever necessary, Buhari thanked all who participated in the process. However, he counselled the organised labour not to allow themselves to be used as political weapons by politicians. He said, “In a way, both arguments are valid. I want to assure you all that we will immediately put in place the necessary machinery that will close out these open areas. Our plan is to transmit the Executive Bill to the National Assembly for passage within the shortest possible time. “I am fully committed to having a new National Minimum Wage Act in the very near future. “Let me use this opportunity to recognise the leadership of the organized labour and private sector as well as representatives of State and Federal Governments for all your hard work. The fact that we are here today, is a notable achievement. “As the executive arm commences its review of your submission, we will continue to engage you all in closing any open areas presented in this report. I therefore would like to ask for your patience and understanding in the coming weeks. “May I therefore, employ workers and their leaders not to allow themselves to be used as political weapons.’ In her submission, Pepple narrated how the decision to finally peg the minimum wage at N30, 000 was arrived at. She also reported that the draft of the New Minimum Wage Bill that would be sent to the National Assembly had already been produced. Pepple explained, “To arrive at our recommendation, the committee carefully weighed the demand of the Nigerian workers, which was predicated on the high cost of living occasioned by unfavourable exchange rate and rising inflation over the past few years, among other factors. “The committee also considered the overall macro-economic indicators, including the revenue and expenditure profile of government as provided by the Ministers of Budget and National Planning and Finance as well as the minimum wage proposed by some state governments in their memoranda submitted to the committee. “Consideration was also given to the critical role of the informal sector in employment generation and the need for a realistic minimum wage that will not stifle the growth of the sector and the overall economy. “After carefully weighing these critical factors and bearing in mind the overriding interest of the economy, the committee, while noting the offer of N24,000 by the federal government, is recommending an increase in the existing minimum wage from N18,000 to N30,000. “We believe that the implementation of the recommended minimum wage, will, no doubt, boost the purchasing power of workers, increase consumption expenditure and ultimately stimulate business and overall economic growth. “The committee has also produced a draft national minimum wage bill 2018 for condition by government. “We strongly believe that the enactment of the draft bill into law is very critical to the operation and future reviews of the national minimum wage.” https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2018/11/07/fear-of-inflation-mounts-as-buhari-approves-new-minimum-wage/amp/

In as much as @theDevilisaliar has dealt with this your senseless post, lemmi give a very simple reason why the PDP and Atiku silence is golden. With the antecedence of the brainless and clueless dead people appointing APC Party of always claiming or taking credits for projects and policies they didnt initiate, without even acknowledging those who initiated them. It makes alot of sense to remain silent so that the brainless fossil in Aso rock wont steal their Ideas or solution then use BMC Zombies like the OP to change the naratives as usual. A classic example was when Jimi Agbaje promised free wifi spots across commercial buses, market Hubs, public places and Schools across Lagos. The then Lagos state governor A.K.A Minister of darkness hijacked the idea, and rolled out Wiffi enables Buses. Bros the PDP party is not in power. Let those in power solve the problem. |
Edo born pikin here. This lady is not only beautiful, her carriage is majestic. |
FluidQueen:May God punish any disfunctional gay fossil that would want to raise my kids even if she was their bio mother. Thank goodness this is Nigeria where such rubbish attracts 14years in jail. I will have full custody of my Children no idiat is going to get a chance to sell my bois/gurls the idea its cool to smash another boi/gurl, not happening, never gonna happen. If she refuses to sign off the papers i will have her arrested and jailed. she wil have morethan enough pvssy in jail. |
ObaKlaz:Very easy to spot a failure. They are so quick to believe the negative things about successful people. These are the people that would believe anyone who has money must either be a ritualist, Yahoo yahoo or Thief. But funny you would find them in most Churches or Mosque praying to God to bless their hustle. Lol, You dnt believe God can bless a man abundantly but you are still praying to him to bless you? Bros incase you dnt get, I just told your life story Mr. PHD -Player hater degree. |
Bros the only govt. Job thats worth is F.G jobs. Who told you state govt jobs are stable? a mad man like the imp in kaduna Elrufai could win an election and throw your butt out. Here s the thing, if your multination job is real, then take it, Why?Working with a Multinational company comes with alot of advantages, makes it easier for you to travel out if you ever decides to leave naija, you not only gain expereince but meet people, thus more open doors for better job opportunities and chance of self improvements. |
TGM2015:APC supporter, what was your stance when they were striking against theast govt? You hailed them and called them patriots. Now they are not productive and useful. You guys should try and stick to something nah. The APC was hailing them and urging them to resist the last govt while in the opposition. They did this when inflation was at a single digit, Cost of living was relatively low. Now this bunch of marauders has turned the country upside down, everything has skyrocketed, but they want thesame workers to remain silent. Fear God o. |
Racoon:My brother dnt mind them, INEC is now the highest judicial court in the land. Despite The high court and Supreme court (which happens to be the highest court of the land,) ruled that the list was illegal INEC still went ahead and accepted Ameachis list, But they are quick to accept the Baruju Kashamu got high court ruling. Lol. The PDP should just go and sleep in Rivers, it now matters not what the Ameacho group does to rig, in the end the Supreme court judgement means APC didnt field any candidate in the first place. |
