Koppaguard:Doesn't Web development require programming skills? |
Hello, Nairalanders. I am interested in learning a digital skill to enable meet my financial goals. The challenge I have is knowing the right skill to learn that will guarantee quick employment. I have heard of software and web development, data analytics etc. but i don't know if these digital or programming skills have high employment opportunities in Nigeria or if there are foreign job opportunities available for people who have these skills. If yes, what companies in Nigeria employ people with digital skills? are these positions open for beginners? How often do people with digital skills in Nigeria get jobs from companies based abroad? Is the demand high? Also, how many years will it take me as a beginner to get to a level where I will be highly sort after? I mean real jobs with career path not Upwork or Fiverr. Even if it takes a year to learn, I am ready. I can create the time to learn it. I have a laptop, good power supply in my location and a mifi. I am also so very smart. Please, I really need intelligent responses from people who have tangible and reliable information not guess work or assumption. I will really welcome responses from techies or people who have good knowledge of the technology ecosystem. |
Please, how do I apply? |
illuminutty:Number switched off. I will keep trying. How much did she collect from you? |
Boomboost:You are not Ibibio. |
Mcslize:Please can I send you a dm? |
Ballzproblemm:Me chio onu! Onye nkpu. Not all women show interest at the onset. Besides, why are you sounding so bitter as if me and you dey drag one woman? I mean, men chase women everyday. If a man of 60 years can woo a woman and still stand a chance, how much more me? And what makes you think I am broke? Because I entered tricycle? Smh |
God1000:I have not chased any girl for the past one year. |
SHIVA001:Are you saying that I do not stand a chance?? |
There is this girl I met today while I was returning from somewhere. She was in the same tricycle with me. She wore her NYSC wear; obviously a corp member. I sat close to her and immediately began to fancy everything about her. I am not in the habit of wooing or 'toasting' women because nearly all the girls I have dated in the past actually just became my girlfriends just like that. We met, developed strong feelings and voila! dating started without me uttering any statement like like 'would you be my girlfriend?" bla bla blah. Fast forward, while we were inside the taxi, I actually winked at her and whispered to her hearing that I needed her phone number which she declined. By the time she alighted I decided to stop as well even though I didn't get to my destination. I approached her while she was walking down the road, spoke nicely and she gave me her number after I had followed her almost to her house. I called the number immediately and her phone rang. However, she told me she doesn't pick calls or respond to text messages which I thought was a joke. This girl should be like 23 or 24 years old. I am actually 30. This evening, I tried to call her twice but she kept ending the calls without picking. I even sent a text and there is no response. I actually like this girl. I mean, her appearance ticks all the boxes but my problem is how to get her attention without offending her or acting desperate. Please, can someone help me with any clues on what to do. I actually don't want to bombard her with too many calls though. |

When I was 13 years old many years ago, during a school holiday, I went to visit one of my Aunts at my mum's village in Itu, Akwa Ibom state. There is a big river near where she lived. She had gone to the market leaving me and her kids at home. One of her son's asked that we go the river. I had always wanted to visit the river because I wanted to learn how to swim. When we got to the river, I and my cousins (3 of them) jumped into the water and asked me to wait by the bank of the river since I didn't know how to swim. While I was there, I saw other kids who were younger than me swimming and enjoying themselves. I couldn't resist it and quickly took off clothes and went in with them. They were throwing this ball and everyone tried to catch it. At first I was at the area close to the bank of the river, then later I started hearing some of the kids calling out "isong eh isong eh" I didn't really know what it meant so I just kept jumping and moving with them shouting "isong eh" Few seconds, later I couldn't feel the sand under my feet any longer. I tried to swim, no way, I was sinking. I tried to scream but everytime I opened my mouth, I only gulped in water. I then I passed out. I woke up later at the bank of the river hearing people shouting and calling my name "Aniekan, Aniekan"! Few days later, I was told the harrowing story of how I drowned and how one deaf and dumb guy rescued me and how I almost died if not for the intervention of the people who brought me out and pressed my stomach and put scent leaf in my nostrils. I am over 30 now and i have never gone back to that village. But my mom recently told me that the deaf and dumb guy who rescued me has passed on. I felt very sad because I would have wanted to visit him and give him a gift for saving my life. |
hopeforcharles:Thanks a lot. |
Akposkiz:Thank you. You know a good medication I can take? |
hopeforcharles:How about the white blood cell count? Don't you think it's low? |
My wbc count is below normal range. I started observing this last year when I did a routine test like I did this time. Can a doctor in the house look at this lab result for me? What do you also think about the Malaria and typhoid results?
