Its so painful seeing how some educated ones think somtimes, To me and any good,honest and reasonable Nigerian, this country is moving foward, and I feel so happy these days seeing the work this Buhari government is doing,am always praisinh him,nd wish he could continue like this, its only the blind ones that will say the agricultural sector is nt improving, our local products are now being valued,so many abandoned palm trees are being taken care of due to costly palm oil,nd that nonsense imported rice that I hv always hated are not being patronised as before,our local nutritious rice are now being valued, I wish the president can ban importation of readymade clothes too and so many other things,so that local production can be valued by Nigerians. So far demand is high, even if the federal Goverment did not establish companies, people will,nd we will start seeing brilliant nd creative ideas,so mr president pls ban the importation of ready made cloths,shoes,chairs,Touch lights,and so other many things, it is then Nigerians can grow.So far importations can be limited,people will look for alternative ways to make banned products available,then we wil not only grow in production,bt mentally as well.Health wise that imported rice aint the best, I wanto see productive Nigerians.

Anything that could have killed the girl, the fault is still from negligence of duty, if it were the okirika that lead to the rash, my questions are, why should corpers buy things they use themselves when federal Government is spending millions on NYSC scheme, is it not because the nysc officials give corpers fake clothing Items,nd insufficient, and Is she the only one that wore the okirika?If truly the Okirika are infected, there must be a reason why her system couldn't battle it while those of others could, LOW immunity, part of the cause of low immunity is POOR DIET, despite all the cows in NYSC camp,killing them day by day, '"we dont know who they eat them"" because they give corpers very small meat with poor food,maybe if the girl had been eating a very nutritious food,her immune system would have battled the virus,bacteria or whatever.Now, she was rushed to the health center, with a corper doctor,that just finished spending 7years in the university,maybe plus one year housemanship, thinking about the labour market that is soo competitive,even those that were opportuned to get a job in the state goverment are being deprived of constant salary,after several years of stress they call education,delayed the treatment or wrong gave wrong injection,both could have lead to her death.In my camp days, I was given an injection and the injected place gushed out blood for upto an hour,Felt weak e.t.c.
NYSC is not worth dieing for because even with her firstclass, is job guaranteed for her?
I will continue to say this, If the federal Government cannot do proper monitoring, the scheme should be scrapped.It has no value to anyone anymore because after a yeat of suffering, no guaranteed Job with 19,800 that one will finish with transport, Cds due,renting apartment,furnish apartment,treatment when sick.

As some have said, there's a stage where addiction can be controlled and when it cannot be controlled,when a smoker or a drinker is in the first and second stage it can still be stoped by the sufferer,when the individual enters the dependence stage,stoping is almost not possible.Thier maybe withdrawal symptoms if the individual cant have the drugs to take in time,This withdrawal symptoms is one of the reasons that drug abusers will do anything to get the drug,cx without the drug,he will be sick.The individuals brain has already seen the drug as part of the persons system,sudden withdrawal may lead to death. I still dont knw when we Africans will grow, what does pastors and clerics have to do with this? This is purely a psychological problem, a mental health problem.

Stop going to clubs if you do before
Hang out with religious friends that see smoking and drinking very irritating and such you may develop shame, and the shame may help in strengthning your desire to stop the drugs
See a psychologist that is in such field
Make friends with people that will love to see you stop smoking, Friends that will be there for you, you can start with your mum
Theres a group online you may join,cant remember the name right now
Try to do what we call Elimination by Substitution,This is when you look for something less health h to replace more health disastrous habit.Some people use Tomtom,start by reducing your cigarettes sticks,for instance you take 10sticks perday before,now take five cigarettes sticks and five or more Tomtoms.

Be optimistic. The right attitude goes a long way to help you succeed. Am a lady like you. So I would share my solutions with you.

I always come to this thread for information. And I got to know of this thread two months to my exam. I got links to all GRE materials, and I ended up not reading over 90% of them. Oh God, I love simplicity and there was no way I was going to go through all those book. But then, everyone kept mentioning Manhattan 5pounds and Magoosh video and I decided I was going to study with only those two materials. So what did I do?

Took the Powerprep test, my score was terrible. But i noticed my weaknesses and wrote them down.

Next, i read the ETS GRE Review and got the basics of the examination.

Then I made a timetable which I judiciously followed. I work full time, it was difficult but I dedicated two months to study. No dates, hanging out or resting. In fact, I stayed behind after work to study for 3 hours because that was the only time I could study. If I go home,I would just eat and sleep. So basically, I just used Manhattan, tried to finish it. But did about 90% of it. For vocabs, I focused on Magoosh flash cards and later discovered mesmerise.com.

A month to my exam, i came on this thread and someone kindly sent me Magoosh videos. It was wonderful, i actually realized I was a visual learner. Unfortunately, I could not finish the verbal videos.

Also, on sundays, i solved full length practice test from kaplan and also did Manhattan test. Two days before my exam, I did the Powerprep. My verbal and my Quant scores were getting better. but not as I would have loved. But I never lost hope. I am surrounded by people that believed in me and the support was awesome. Thank God.

Finally, 14th of Nov, I wrote my exam and I did not feel the burnout because I did at least 4 full length practice test. I just saw Q160,v158. I was shocked but I thank God that all those sacrifices paid off.

My point is you need to be optimistic and define what is important to you. If GRE is the hurdle you need to cross, damn every other thing and focus on getting the best you can.

I hope my formula is simple enough for you. Manhattan with Magoosh videos and Magoosh flash cards did it for me. All the best, love.

Mehn its being a long time since i came to this thread..Just thought i should chip in one or two things..its not enough to just be preparing for GRE without researching for schools by the side. you wouldn't want to waste the 4 free slots to send your scores. Dont be like me, i wasted the whole 4, never applied to any of the schools.There will still be alot to spend money on, be wise. And by the way '5lb Manhattan' is a must to ace the Quant session. That book is the truth. Only the book is enough for quant but you can combine with Nova GRE too. All the best.
