Yes and no.

Yes - because they apply in a literal sense to those who were under that covenant, Judaism.

No - because as a Christian without a Jewish background, I am not bound by the Judaistic covenant even though the Decalogue applies to me in principle.
Agreed.  Did you know that God wrote the decalogue with His own finger?

I can see you using your logic. let's see. if God does not exists, then Satan does not exists.

Just as common folks disguise their insecurity and need for superior image to identify with, dudes like you engage your devious desires and vices by building upon some goat-head, gigolo with an insane hatred for humans (like you and me)
Spot on.

Yes, I agree partly with modupe01 that the onus is on you to adduce a basis that verifies your claim about the highlighted in your statement.

As a Christian, I don't read or interpret the creation narratives in that way. For one, I contend that your assertion is a strawman; for second, I contend that the Bible does not teach that God "created" the planet in 6 days.

I notice you have repeatedly posted that same question to issues like this; but you should notice that evolution does not tell you anything about the CREATION of the planet. Since it does not, you may need to get your ideas together before assuming a position that is misconstructed.
As a Christian, do you read the decalogue as an allegory or literally?

Condemned in My Place
November 3, 2009

"Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God." (Matthew 27:41-43)

Bearing shame and scoffing rude,
In my place condemned He stood—
Sealed my pardon with His blood:
Hallelujah, what a Saviour
!

Through the sham of a trial, they mocked Him and shamed Him.  "They spit in his face, and buffeted him" (Matthew 26:67).  They "platted a crown of thorns, |and| put it upon his head" along with a kingly robe and "they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews" (27:29).  Then they "scourged Jesus, |and| delivered him to be crucified" (27:26).  Finally, they stripped Him of His garments, hung Him naked on the cross, "and sitting down they watched him there" (27:36).  "They that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads" (27:39).

Surely such treatment would be reserved for only the worst sinners, but Pilate called Him "this just person" (v. 24), not deserving of imprisonment or execution.  Yet "they all condemned him to be guilty of death" (Mark 14:64).

He wasn't guilty, but I am, as are all of us.  "For all have sinned" and "the wages of sin is death" (Romans 3:23; 6:23).  He chose to stand condemned where we belong, for God "hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him" (2 Corinthians 5:21).

We have thus been granted full pardon, "sealed unto the day of redemption" (Ephesians 4:30).

Hallelujah, what a Saviour! JDM

evolution theory is what i call nonsense as it doesn't even have a working formula, maybe you my friend came from apes but i did not.
This is also very much true and the reason it has failed to become a scientific law.  Hypothesis, theories that have gone on to become scientific laws all have working formulas but TOE has no working formula and thus remains a myth that is believed by atheists and Christian compromisers.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Christians Ignorantly Oppose The Theory Of Evolution by modupe01: 10:45am On Nov 03, 2009
Atheists:
Without a literal fall, there is no need for redemption and thus no need for Jesus or Christianity.Acceptance of evolution compromises the purpose of Christ's redemption. In accepting evolution and attempting to fit the Bible around it, a theistic evolutionist ends up believing that God used suffering and death to advance animals to men. In other words, death is no longer the penalty for sin, but merely a part of creation. However, according to the Bible sin and death are the opposite of good. Thus, the Bible and evolution contradict one another.
I more or less agree with this unfortunate fact. Christians who have compromised their faith in the Bible so as to accommodate man's faulty theory of evolution have lost their saltiness. It is either the Bible is right and the theory of evolution is wrong or vice versa, both cannot be mutually exclusive. undecided

Imagine preaching the gospel to a person you are wearing his shirt you stole from?  The guy is looking at his shirt that he clearly identifies as his own and brings your attention to it and you are there busy preaching the gospel that God has forgiven you of your past sins.  What about the sin to your fellow human being, has he forgiven also?

Christianity EtcRe: Does God Have A Sense Of Humour? by modupe01: 7:25pm On Jul 11, 2009
Who said that God doesn't have a sense of humour? He recorded an event that happened that shows the beginning of man's blame game when "Adam blamed Eve, Eve blamed the snake and the snake didn't have a leg to stand on". Read Genesis 3:14-19.

You will find here that God was talking to real humans and to a real serpent whom the fallen arch angel Satan had possessed, when He said "Because you have done this you are cursed more than all cattle and more than every beast of the field; on your belly you shall go, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life" Gen.3:14. I believe this was a literal except you believe the lies of the Vatican.

Ai tete m'ole ole m'oloko. We should be the ones accusing you of plagiarising and copying our language. Christians see themselves as children of God and God as our Father and we are joint heirs with the Son. That makes genuine Christians brothers and sisters in Christ. This cannot be said to be the case in Islam because true muslims doesn't see themselves as children of Allah but slaves. So where does brothers and sisters arise from except you mean in crime. tongue

Those who lived in the antidulivian age discovered that God does no work with numbers, only 8 righteous people entered Noah's ark before the global catastrophic deluge.  Jesus said:

"For many are called, but few are chosen." -- Matthew 22:14

The rate of conversion to Christ in China, middle east, Africa and South America is challenging to the Christians in the west who are losing faith.  Jesus warned:

"So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen." -- Matthew 20:16

f#$@ckin illiterates, try 99%, when the flood came upon the earth, did you figure 80% made it on to the Ark.

if Heaven was so easy to get into, we won't be having this present aggressive, at-all-cost religious drive to convert sinners.

I sincerely doubt that over 100,000 persons will make it into heaven. don't think it is as easy as killin yourself in the name of a cause.
This is what Jesus had to say about people's choices that will determine their destinies:

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

modupe01 are u a lawyer. remember the pastor must be saying the truth and must be able to prove it beyond reasonable doubt
You don't need to be a lawyer to sue his pants off. Get a dangerous criminal lawyer that is trustworthy and let him get the appropriate advice to know if the case is worth pursuing, that is, if there are any evidences that can pin him down. Go to the hospital to get yourself checked out. I am still surprised that he allowed this to happen to him unless his drink was laced with a date rape drug. If his boss has a manager over him he should let them know unless the boss is the top manager there, if possible get a transfer or go into full time ministry.

Moreover, he should pray a prayer of deliverance to get rid of the homosexual and suicidal spirit that has been deposited into him and above all report his boss to our Father in heaven, the Big boss to avenge his case.

Bless you !
I believe you will appreciate this message, a friend of my who is a pastor was raped by his boss ( man and man) which we call homosexual, from that day which is yesterday he has been feeling bad about himself,
pls everybody i`m not happy with this, what can i tell him, i mean how can i encourage him.

tHANKS
This is an incidence that will allow a pastor to throw an upper cut and swing a hook to the jaw of the boss if he could not flee the area.  Even if a fowl is pursued by the owner it will get to the point when the fowl will start chasing the person, that is, when push comes to shove.

Now that the deed has been done there is no need crying over spilt milk.  Tell your friend to report his boss to the law enforcement and the professional body his trade belongs to, then sue his pants off.
