Contact national express immediately and report this, they will track them, there is CCTV in that coach and they can also track them through their ticket as well.
Thank you so much Justwise, God bless you.

So sorry to hear about this.
Did they leave one of the bags behind or they took all of theirs and your?

Perhaps someone knows if you can go back to the airport and get their details from the flight manifest.
They took everything plus mine.
I do not know the flight they were on and I also don’t know their names. I only know they took the bag from national coach and they dropped off at Sheffield coach station.
But they were the only ones who got off at Sheffield. Perhaps their names can be gotten from their ticket.
Don’t even know if that makes any sense

Good morning family.
Please I need help.
I took a bus (national coach) from London Victoria to Leeds.
I realized a family (two guys, one lady and a child) had about seven bags and unfortunately they are same with mine.
I tagged my bag appropriately with my name and tag but this family dropped off at Sheffield and when I got to Leeds, I realized my bag wasn’t in the cabin.

I’ve been at Leeds since morning because I missed my bus as a result of this.
I have a lot in my bag and food that can last me for six months because I only have money to pay my tuition with me.
I also have all my drugs in it as I’m an ulcer patient.
I have been crying since because I really don’t know how the national express will find my bag and I’m feeling sick already.
I have sent messages to all the groups I belong perhaps the family might be on the group.
What can I do please.

Hello family, how is the weather today?
In 2017, I was a young girl of 18years serving my fatherland in Kwara, Ilorin Nigeria.
In December 2017, I saw a post on Nairaland asking us to make a wish for Christmas.
I made a wish and requested that someone make my mum who is a widow happy during the festive period because I really wanted to buy her chicken and foodstuffs then but I could only afford a chicken.
Two days after, Santa reached out to me and sent me 40,000. This money as at then is like #200,000 now.
I couldn’t even appreciate him enough and I remember I always reached out and he was always responsive until I misplaced my phone in 2018 and lost his contact.

I had searched everywhere for this man because my mother wanted to pray for him but I couldn’t retrieve my nairaland details.

Last week, I got my student visa to study in the United Kingdom and I had to follow this thread and boom! I found the username.

I remain grateful to Santa cheesy :Dfor your help as at that time because you put a smile on my mother’s face.

Part 2
Family, I will be arriving United Kingdom next weekend and I need to start planning and strategizing from day 1.
My area of expertises are: Film production, Video editing, Data imaging technician, Production coordination, Public relations executive and Advertising ,Content creation, Digital Marketing, Broadcasting,Customer success, chef and I am currently getting trained in data analytics.
I have a five years experience in cinema and film making, advertising , customer service executive and digital marketing.
I have 6 certifications in film production and media.
I have about 8 certifications in care giving as well but it is not something I want to do full time.

What and what should I look out for to get opportunities in the UK?
I know for sure I might have to start with a menial job
but I would appreciate any useful tips on how to navigate and get better opportunities.
Thank you.

Good evening house, I would like to confirm something.
Incase one has made submission at the embassy but one is just able to get CC from a second sponsor.

Can one still submit it within that 14days additional document window?

Will this affect anything since it wasn’t filled in the visa form that one will be using two sponsors?

Hi, as explained before by @blessednendowed

Question : How can I obtain a credit card Limit Certificate?

Answer: Go to any of the major banks and ask for bank manager. Tell them you need a cash backed credit card . Basically it’s like a secured naira credit card . Meaning you will use your own funds to fund it as collateral ok. In this case the bank will put a lien on some of the money . For example let’s say you need a cash backed credit card for 5m. You will need to fund the card with about 6m because out of this 6m the bank will hold between 10-20% of it as collateral meaning they will put a lien on that 10-20% of the amount you are funding your credit card with.
Once you fund the credit card account you can then request for a certificate/confirmation of credit card limit. Some banks take between 5-7 days to issue this certificate/confirmation of credit card limit.
This certificate is what you need to submit to the polish embassy as proof of funds.

*He has to be there to open his own Credit card account.

This helps a lot.
Thanks so much sis.

I did though. I got all the money back I put in.

The money was placed in a restricted account and used as a collateral. Once I asked for the card to be closed (as I couldn’t use the money as it was restricted) and changed the account to a simple dollar dom debit card, I got back the full amount that was used as collateral. The only money that the bank collected from me, was a card maintenance fee which was 250$ in total.

Again I can’t explain properly what the bank staff were saying about the card I used because it was very confusing plus I was there with my dad so he spoke more.

Hello sis, good evening. I have never considered the option of CC but right now that is what is I’m so considering and I need you to walk me through.
My sponsor wants to open a CC in his name and I want to know if I can do that on his behalf at the bank or he has to go with me.
How many days does it take to get the CC certificate?

Dear friend biko you cannot advise him to get a visa appointment before paying tuition fees. Why ? Because especially if he is paying from Naija the payment takes a bit to be processed ok and the schools have to wait to receive the money before issuing the final admission documents u need for visa processing and sometimes depending on the school this could take up to a week or more in total. So u know you cannot control the date the embassy will give you when you call for an appointment for visa ok. The embassy assigns date at random you cannot choose . So supposed on a given Thursday he or she calls the embassy for an appointment date and the embassy assigns he or she an appointment date for that following Monday which is just a few days from the Thursday he called . When will he start sending payment for tuition? Even if he sends it will take some time to process so that means he might not be able to get his final admission docs from the school in time enough to meet up with the visa appointment for Monday .

My dear pay your tuition fee first and get your admission docs before u call for an appointment. What you should be asking your school before you pay your tuition aside of whether they will refund your tuition is if they will support you by providing you with an extension letter that u can use as part of your visa documentation in the event that you get an appointment date at a much later time when school has already resumed.

Guys as you search for schools try to ask these questions that will help you determine which schools will really work to support u more during your visa process.

Let’s be careful of the advise we give each other on here pls. When in doubt pls ask others.

Hope this helps someone out there.
This helps a lot .
Thanks a lot for all you do.
Please I need to ask you somethings cos I’m a little bit confused right now.
I need clarifications.
Don’t say I ask a lot of questions, I just want to get it right.

Nwanne whatever his story is....the only options he has to prove to the polish embassy that he is financially capable of sponsoring you are:

a) 3 months recent payslips and confirmation letter of employment, with a signed and notarized letter of sponsorship

OR

b) Certificate of Credit card limit, with a signed and notarized letter of sponsorship

OR

c) Both
Thanks so much.
I’ll have to find another sponsor, can’t be stressing my head.

Good evening house.
I would like to confirm some few things.
I have a guardian who saw me through university here in Nigeria and I intend to use him as a sponsor.
He retired as a top VP in shell and he is still being paid pension.
He said he could get a letter from shell saying he was one of their top manager but retired now though he still does consultancy for them and he gets his pension every month.
He promised to write a convincing sponsor letter and and he could prove that he has the financial prowess as well. Also, he has evidence of how he saw me through university. Can this fly?
Also, he has a distribution company as well and I also suggested creating a payslip for himself.
He said he prefers that I use a recognized company like shell.

I told him to do CC instead, he said he doesn’t like bank issues.

I'd advise you don't use transferwise for tuition. Use Form A.
Transferwise is better for smaller amounts. It's even states there that if you send bulk money ($2000 and above or so- not sure of the real figure), you might have to show them/verify how you got the funds and all.
Remember, you donno how long the verification will last before someone will end up frustrated.
cheesy winkThanks so much for the advise....

I saw someone on here say their Zenith bank naira card worked.

If you can open a USD Domiciliary account, please do. It'll help you a lot in the long run.
Thank you so much for the response but I’m really not knowledgeable in this banking things.
Can you tell me how I can open such account?
Thanks

Refix:

Register and verify your TransferWise account.
Open a Polish Zloty balance on the app.

Add funds to it.
Insert the amount to deposit plus a little extra to cover transaction fee.
E.g if you intend to send 85 PLZ to the school, deposit 90 PLZ to your balance. 2 PLZ can go for fees.

Use your USD/EUR/GBP Dom card to make the deposit. (I observed Naira Cards no longer work)

If your deposit is successful, you'll see the amount reflect on the Polish Zloty balance.

Then send the funds to the schools account.
Insert the amount and description as the school instructs and send.

TransferWise will inform you when the transaction completes.

It shouldn't take long.
Send the school the PDF proof of the transfer and that should be all.
Hi
I’m trying to use this process to pay my tuition fee but I learnt MasterCard doesn’t work anymore and I don’t have euro or usd card.
I’m confused

Well, not surprised. Religious people tend to assign to their religious deities what they can handle by themselves. They have all turned God into their house boys, sending him on useless tasks and leaving everything to him. That is why Nigeria has become what it is today.

Seriously is that not how Nigeria is being run at the moment?

People without a drop of oil in their backyard profiting from it while the real owners wallow in abject poverty. The op and her likes voted the brain dead guy in Abj.

Now she wants magic from the failed system to arrest a guy in Uyo. Smh.

Whether you like it or not the rot in the system which is being aided by some will keep affecting all of us.

Well, you may not be right sir.
I could remember vividly when Buhari came campaigning, I never supported him and I never voted for him and I will never vote for him if situation warrants it tomorrow.
I practically fought all my coursemates in school back then because of that lifeless cow.
To even imagine a guy who had his Masters and couldn’t get a job for two years and everyday, he uploads the lifeless man and his VP as mentors.
Like this guy was practically calling them the best and all sort of irritating talk.
I had to really tell him off and I muted his status because it was irritating.
And that is why today, I sit down and really smile.
Yes, I’m not happy with what is happening but we brought it upon ourselves.

Did you later resolve this?
Did he later apologise?
Why don't you get a lawyer to write Uniuyo as well as the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria that a thief is coming into the medical profession, so they will wreck him there.

Thanks for the concern sir.
After pulling so much string that got even the President of Nigerian Bar association involved, my sister(not my blood sister though) said she wasn’t interested in pursuing any case.
Her reasons were flimsy but we could deduce it all came from the fact that her fellowship people told her to to leave vengeance for God.
I’m still in awe but that’s what we get when we allow religion to get into our heads.
And I asked if fighting for one’s right is a sin before God. Besides, the so called leaders of her fellowship do terrible things yet no one speaks of it.
After so much effort, the little girl killed the case herself.

You don't have to be confused.

Well, it depends on how you prepare yourself. It is important that you get the documents ready before booking an appointment; But make sure that you secure an appointment date within that same month when you receive the documents. This is because you have to submit the most recent Pay Slips and Certificate of Employment.

So imagine you get the documents this month which is June and you couldn't book an appointment till August. That means you will need to get an additional pay slip for July which is the most recent.

But if you sponsor is within your reach and he can easy prepare the documents with a day or two, then you can wait till you book an appointment before you get the documents.

So decide on what's best for you. Also note that you will be given 2 additional weeks to provide any additional documents should in case you unable to submit all on your submission date.

I hope this helps.

Yes it does, this helps a lot.
My sponsor is within reach, I’ll just wait to get appointment date.
Thanks so much

You can keep on wallowing in your shallow thinking.

I have no reason to lie fam. Because you were denied VISA for not submitting the needed documents to the Embassy doesn't mean others won't. Don't come here and scare people with complete documents.

Hello, so sorry I’m quoting this particular message.
I want to ask, can I get financial documents from my sponsor and keep?
I just got admission , can I get the payslip and employment letter ready before calling for visa date
Or I need to get a date first before getting the document?.
I’m confused.
Family / Re: How Do I Make My Fiancee To Like My Sister. by Modupeoluwa123(f): 1:50pm On Jun 05, 2021
You do not have to make your fiancée like your sister. This is so wrong on all levels. The young girl has an exam to prepare for and the least anyone can do for her right now is to support and be there for her.
There is the space of a wife and there is the space of sibblings, if your soon to be wife can’t see things this in a matured way, then she is childish.
Imagine that she is paying a visit to her own brother and his wife is against her coming, how will she feel?
If a young teenager is a threat to your sister, how about if your mum comes visiting?
Or she is gonna tell a woman who raised her son not to come visiting?
She is very toxic and it’s really bad.
Please talk to her about this, if she doesn’t see it as a big deal, then you have to find a way.
