You can't get it via OTA.

You have to do manual flashing which is very easy.

OMG! Kulimart never explained this in details, i wouldn't have rushed for this note-2 prime purchase. Besides, why can't i get it via OTA? is it xiaomi policy?

Majority of the users are always complaining of boomerang following manual flashing which connotes doom. Moreover, was note 3 released with global china stable rom too or contrary?

However, i will exercise patience till users vet this global stable rom well. Pending that, how is manual flashing of this rom done?

Porting! lol.......lol....lol.......My redmi note 2 prime was delivered with China stable rom [miui 7] as promised but i have not gotten avenue to fiddle with it.

Waiting patiently for the global stable rom via OTA.

This global stable rom manual flashing is not pretty worthwhile to me.

I just received a mail at exact 1:17p.m today indicating shipment (to my address) of the item (pre-order) i ordered for and till now, i have neither received the item nor call to this effect.

Is the shipping not within 24hrs or what?

interesting! Lack of SDcard made me overlooked the note 3 but it is a good phone with finger-print sensor.

Will try to see the specs of mi5 and mate 8. High processor speed is one of the factors i consider in phones.

If you check the image, it's running on MIUI 7 stable ROM.

MIUI 7 global is not yet out for Xiaomi RedMi Note 2, so therefore, it will have some Chinese apps which you can uninstall and also install Google play.

The images were blur as at the day you sent them but i could view them clearly now anyway. Does it mean that the MIUI 7 Stable rom (China) possesses Chinese language and not English?

Obviously, the MIUI 7 stable China has no Google play pre-installed. But default app store and other stores like: Mobogene can do the job now (apps download) isn't it?

However, since one could uninstall the so called Chinese apps, thus, when i have the possession of the phone, i shall still be using the factory-set MIUI 7 till i could have MIUI 7 global update alert via OTA. On no account shall i entertain any third party rom(s) on it just to avoid boomerangs

Which misinformation are you trying to correct? Are you insinuating that this my xiaomi redmi note 2 prime is not coming with miui 7 or what?

People who flashed Redmi Note 2 are those who already flash third party ROM on their device. This is because RN2 came with Chinese ROM from factory and people were flashing multi language ROM to get rid of the Chinese apps and others. After MIUI 7 was released they have to flash it manually instead of OTA.

You don't need to flash anything before you can get update.

Miui 7 is new rom ,so almost all phones have to flash or update via OTA to get it because none comes with it by default.

Xiaomi release update on stable rom monthly.

Incremental ROM is developers ROM.

Is the MIUI 7 going to be a stable rom or developer rom from factory?

Lest i forget, must someone flash a stable rom manually before he can start getting updates (via OTA updates) on the stable rom (from factory) when clicked on the updater?
.... OR no flashing is done and one's only business is just to be clicking on updater to check for any available stable rom?

Now, is it only monthly (or it is any day/time) one can click on updater to check for stable rom OTA updates availability?

What is meant by Incremental roms for stable rom?

All you need do is to read the changeloh whenever a new weekly rom is out, wait for one or two days to see if there's any hug reported, if there's no major bug, go ahead and download

Eg. Only dev roms have private folders now as its now been introduced on stable

Anyway it's your choice though. Dev roms allows u tinker and play with your phone

It's because they are using third party rom.

Unmodified Xiaomi RedMi Note 2 rom have received update. They use multi language rom which is not directly from Xiaomi.

Flash miui rom is very simple. Download the rom, open the updater, choose the rom and release.
Within 15 minutes everything will be done.

waoh! spectacular response. But what if someone uninstalled some preinstalled apps (e.g facebook app) from factory before update, can this act pose a problem during updates?
