Your lawyer should know best...if not check another lawyer
The lawyer is insisting that that the man who rented the house is our tenant by implication because he got the keys to pack in. This is confusing.

Please admin for the first time help take this to the front page.

Dearest nairaland I need your advice. It happened that my husband relocated to Lagos from Abuja. When he was leaving,he gave his brother the key to our apartment for the purpose of looking for someone to rent the apartment and gave a close friend part of the key( not all the key). So just last week the friend called that someone is interested but only have part payment and promise to balance up month end. Which my husband declined that it's unaccepted. Without my husband consent,he went to his brother to get the full key that someone wants to check the space. We got a call last Friday the space has be rented out. Up till now,his friend did not call and has barred my husband number from calling in. He called his brother and he said he is not aware too that he only gave him the key when he said someone wants to check the house. We contacted the man occupying the space through a lawyer, telling him to quit the apartment that the owner of the space is not aware of his presence neither did he get any money from anyone but up till now he is still there. Note that,he didn't sign any agreement neither was a receipt issue to him. Please what other step can be taken because the man occupying the space is an inspector. Thanks and I will be reading your comments.
