“I wish to state that I have done, by God’s grace, a lot of election petition matters and I know that up till 2011, INEC form provides that candidates should state their qualifications. In other words, just say that you have O’level; you have B.Sc; you have BL etc; then, you go and sit down.
“But right now, the rule has changed. Form CF001 says apart from filling your qualifications, you must attach them; you must attach photocopies of your qualifications; and to attach means to bind; it means to glue-to. As we look at the form that you have filled, we have to see all your certificates attached to your form.
Buhari's presidential ambition about to go out in smoke even before the election proper.
Buhari not qualified to contest –Ozekhome
A prominent Lawyer and Human Rights advocate, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), has said that the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, General Muhammadu Buhari, is not qualified to contest the February 14 presidential election. https://punch.cdn.ng/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Mike-Ozekhome.jpg Ozekhome, who spoke on an Africa Independent Television programme, Kakaaki, on Friday, said the retired General failed to comply with provisions of the electoral law while making entries into the nomination form he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Ozekhome said, “I know that Nigerians would be curious why this matter is just coming up for the first time and that after all this man had contested the last three Presidential elections.
“So, if you do not attach them, you have not satisfied the minimum requirements; it is therefore not proper to refer INEC to go on a wild goose chase by saying they should look elsewhere for my qualifications.”
The legal practitioner observed that Buhari’s decision to refer INEC to the Secretary of the Military Board for his credentials was like an applicant referring the interviewer to the last place he or she worked.
“That is wrong; the military board we are talking about will also be in possession of the document of the respected general,” he added.
Ozekhome said section 131 of the constitution is clear that the candidate must have not below school certificate level, or its equivalent, and its equivalent means GCE, WASC, NECO, etc; those are its equivalents.
In response, former national publicity secretary of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change, Rotimi Fashakin dismissed Ozekhome’s arguments.
He said it was begging the question for members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party and their supporters to begin to make a mountain out of a molehill.
Fashakin , who is a close associate of Buhari, said, “The truth is that a drowning man will hold on to any straw that comes his way.
“This administration is coming to an end and the PDP and its candidate have nothing new to tell the people so they are trying to create a scandal where none exists. They know the general is eminently qualified to contest and he is contesting.
“You and I know that if Buhari was not qualified, he would not have joined the army and risen to the position of general and Head-of-State of this great nation. They should look for another thing.”
“I am not the one saying this; it is a revelation from God. I see President Jonathan winning the 2015 election with a landslide but the All Progressives Congress (APC) will revolt.
God has been telling us the same thing since 2003, Buhari can only win elections on the internet.
By miles Mr. Agbaje was the star of the debate. He literally took other contestants to the cleaners with the masterful delivery, use of statistics and data from government and other international organisations. Unlike the raucous response some of the contestants elicited from the audience, any time Mr. Agbaje spoke, the audience stayed quiet.
He started by saying being a small scale business man himself, he knew what it takes to run a small scale enterprise and his government would give priority attention to SMEs in the state.
Mr. said his vision for Lagos is for it to be a mega city where a Lagosian would live in a secure and prosperous environment. “I want to build a Lagos where people can realise their aspirations,” he said.
Jimi Agbaje is in a different class to Ambode, Tinubu's looting of Lagos would soon be exposed.
anonimi: To Mogidi, Teufelein and other TRUE progressives,
Can anyone put the picture of the weeping General
in the middle of the image captioned "the Unelectable Perpetual Presidential Candidate (PPC)"
Thanks in advance for your effort to keep our potentially great country to CONTINUE on its PROGRESSive revival journey with the Jonathan/Sambo team. Cheers.
Buhari who spoke on Sunday on a Liberty Radio programme, Guest of the Week monitored said accused the government of killing and destroying houses belonging to Boko Haram members while the Niger Delta militants get special treatment.
And a president Buhari would expect Oil from the Niger Delta region.
anonimi: Can someone who is good with IT graphics re-do this picture frame with Buhari in the middle as the Perpetually Unelectable Presidential candidate as stated by El-Rufai. Thanks!
Whilst Jonathan is uplifting the common man in the North by building (over 100) schools, colleges and universities, Buhari is fraternising and seeking endorsement from yet another terrorist organisation (MEND).
donphilopus: We're almost saying the same thing bros. People like Anenih and Igbinedion were very angry with Obasanjo then. Lucky was even among the people who ensured that Osunbor lost the Election is Benin. Anyway, that's already past. Now gallantly awaiting the 2016 Polls!
usibengate: @Mogidi why u like dey always change matter?, but why? Oshiomhole was not even having any connection with Anenih as at then. Though Anenih kept quiet on the issue between Osunbor and Oshiomhole, cos both were not his favourite, except Idiot Iglesia. It was the forensic scans that Oshiomhole brought that proves otherwise. But the silent of Anenih was what brought the winning to Oshiomhole. Meanwhile Anenih did not give or provide Oshiomhole with any winning documents please nor talk spoil or rather publicise or spread ignorance here
I won't be making the claims authoritatively if I wasn't there.
Of the presidential aspirants Buhari is the least educated, his wife is another airhead who studied beauty and cosmetics. Goodluck Jonathan Jonathan holds a B.Sc. degree in Zoology He has an M.Sc. degree in Hydrobiology and Fisheries biology With a PhD in Zoology added for good measure
Patience Jonathan National Certificate of Education (NCE) in Mathematics and Biology B.Ed in Biology and Psychology
Buhari I tried but couldn't find any education Mrs Buhari diploma in Beauty therapy (more or less a hairdresser)
donphilopus: I'm neither Benin nor Esan. But with the way people from these places talk, you'll know they don't like themselves. What was the reason Osunbor lost at the Court to Oshiomole? Benin people didn't vote Osunbor because he's Esan plus the fact that they were tired of PDP then. The Election was massively rigged in my LG (Akoko Edo) and Etsako East or Central or so.
Sometimes I even hear Benin man say 'If you see Esan man and goat wey them say make you kill one, kill the Esan man 1st' and some other stuffs like "House To Let (Esan Man is not needed)'. You understand now?
Bros there's always that rivalry between tribes that share same ancestors. There are rivalries amongst Yorubas, Igbos etc, it is expected. The reason Osumbor lost in court was because of Anenih.
Anenih wanted Odion Ugbesia as governor whilst OBJ wanted Osumbor. I went to the stadium with Senator Odion Ugbesia for his declaration, it was whilst there that OBJ called Anenih to put a stop to Ugbesia's declaration. Oshiomhole only won the court case because Anenih gave him documents which proved beyond doubt that the election was rigged. You will remember Oshiomhole was very close to Anenih when he first came to power. Oshiomhole has Anenih to thank for disagreeing with OBJ, Osumbor would have been our governor now.
