But most people on here are funny. Disagreement and fighting ensue even among siblings. So what are you on about? That a Hausa man in Ekiti s fighting a Yoruba does not mean the Hausa in Lagos is doing the same. Besides, since that incident of 25 cups of rice, I still have yet to believe that these Ekiti people are the same as those of yesteryear.

PoliticsNGF Asks Okonjo-iweala To Account For $20bn by Mogten(op): 11:14pm On May 19, 2015
The Nigeria Governors’ Forum on Tuesday demanded explanations from the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, on $20 billion being accruals for the Excess Crude Account for two years. This was part of a communique issued at the end of a four-hour meeting which ended in the early hours of Tuesday at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja. The communique was read by the Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, who announced that the NGF has reconciled and reunited as a single association of the 36 state Governors of Nigeria regardless of region. He said the forum was demanding explanations on how accrued and how it was disbursed.Amaechi said, “In the light of the fact that funds in the Excess Crude Account were last disbursed in May 2013, there is need for the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, to provide explanations for accruals to this account from June 2013 to April 2015 which is estimated at over $20 billion.”The communique also read in part: “The induction Programme for new and returning governors will be held in June 2015.“It is also aimed at equipping new and returning governors with the knowledge of global best practices in establishing and running their offices.”The governors also resolved to establish a Governors’ Forum Academy to be christened “The NGF Leadership Academy,” which will be responsible for capacity building of Governors and other officials holding public offices. The forum congratulated the President elect, Mohammad’s Buhari, over his electoral victory and also congratulated President Goodluck Jonathan for conceding defeat.Amaechi, whose tenure has expired, unveiled Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State, as his successor. Yari emerged as Chairman by concensus. He is to serve for a one-year period: May 2015 to May 2016.

Sometimes i wonder how the Ijaws reason. You cannot make your area unfriendly to investors and complain when people refuse to invest in your area..

Ijaw neighbourhoods are so rough to walk freely by day and no go areas by night..They hardly outgrow cultism and thuggery. No sane person will risk his life and resources investing there..They have to change their ways.

Gej had 6yrs and he did nothing for Ijaws and other ethnicities in NDelta..hes gone now, the best thing to do is to liase with SSouth leaders in the new govt to ensure some ills are corrected. A diplomatic approach will appeal to govt and then to local and foreign investors
A thousand likes for this! That's just it, it is the very same mentality that got them to this point in the first place, wonder how they still think it's the best resort to help their situation... they stand to lose more in a crisis than in a peaceful approach. You don't fight the government, not with all the machinery at it's disposal. But of course, they are too arrogant and bent on blaming "one Nigeria" for their woes to realise that it's their immediate leaders cheating them.

Now that the picture is clearer that it is a private project and can be sited anywhere.i have no issues with that.

In fairness, the NNPC, the Niger delta Ministry and the HQs of oil majors should be in the Niger delta region. If they lived as well as operated from the region, that private investor would also have invested in Niger delta instead of Lagos.

The Nigerian govt should be fair to all sections of the country..Buhari should know that he wasnt voted by the SS and should appeal to us by correcting some injustices and see how he becomes our darling else we shall resent this govt in words and in deeds.
Your reply is well reasonable. The other guys just make misguided empty threats. Only common sense is needed to reach a common ground. Violence has never won anywhere before.

Dbestbanky:
You have to be more specific. Windows 8 or 8.1 comes ready with Dotnet 4.0, so there's no how it's gonna allow you downgrade its 'natural' resources. Also for the missing partitions, check Disk Management and allocate a drive letter. Hope this helps.
Thanks for your response. I upgraded my OS from windows 8 to 8.1, I did a complete formatting and it wiped out my Recovery partition (usually D: ), UEFI partition (usually E: ) , and system partition (usually I: ) in the process. I tried allocating drive letters but it's only writing the DVD ROM one, not the others. I only have the OS partition (usually C: ) and DVD ROM one left. As for the .net framework 3.5, there's an antivirus I need to install that requires the 3.5 to function. So I managed to get the offline installer from online but it couldn't install because the E: drive partition path is missing. Thanks again!

Keenly contested. The Plateau people voted based on individuals, not party or religion. .

PoliticsYoung And Super Rich: Top 10 Billionaires Under 40 by Mogten(op):
When it comes to making serious money, college might be overrated.

Male "technopreneurs" dominate a list compiled by Wealth-X of the richest people under 40, which also features several college dropouts and one that didn't even bother to attend university.

Facebook (FB, Tech30) boss Mark Zuckerberg claims the top spot, and at $35.1 billion, his fortune far outstrips the rest on the list.

The social networking site has provided the world's most fertile ground for young billionaires.

Nearly half of top 10 were early players in Facebook: In addition to Zuckerberg, rankings go to Dustin Moskovitz, Sean Parker and Eduardo Saverin.
Harvard dropout Moskovitz is worth $7.7 billion, while Parker -- who was Facebook's first president and also co-founded Napster -- didn't bother with college. He's now worth $5.2 billion.

Back in 2012 Saverin renounced his U.S. citizenship before the company he co-founded went public. The Brazilian native denied the move was for tax reasons, but it was likely to have reduced the hefty tax bill tied to the sale of his Facebook shares.

The blockbuster success of Facebook also helped create billionaire no. 3: WhatsApp co-founder Jan Koum. The messaging platform was snapped up by Facebook for $19 billion in 2014.

Living on welfare and food stamps after emigrating to the U.S. from the Ukraine as a teenager, Koum's is a classic rags-to- riches tale. He "barely graduated" from high school and dropped out of San Jose State University. Then in 2009, the one-time security tester transformed the international text messaging market with WhatsApp, a service that last year was growing its user base by 1 million people a day.

Just two women make the list.
Chinese real estate heiress Yang Huiyan comes in at no. 6, with net worth of $5.1 billion which makes Asia's richest woman.

Biotech entrepreneur and college dropout Elizabeth Holmes claims the 8th spot, worth $4.5 billion. America's youngest female billionaire left Stanford University at 19 with a plan to start her own company. Her firm Theranos has taken on the massive laboratory-diagnostic industry by performing fast and less invasive blood tests, and has the potential to change health care for millions of Americans.

Like Holmes, most on the list were self-made. The U.S. is the home to the bulk of young billionaires, while emerging economies China, India and Brazil each claim one place in the top 10.

RomanceMistakes Guys Should Avoid Making When Texting Their Lady Love by Mogten(op): 2:42pm On Apr 09, 2015
Women love to analyse things and that's why most ladies are fans of texting. So much so, that one of her most enjoyable activities is the guessing game — What Do You Think He Meant With That Text? To make sure you win at that game, keep these pointers handy:

No CAPS

The only time capital letters are allowed are at the beginning of a sentence or if you're saying OMG (but refrain from doing that often). The all caps makes you come across as pushy, loud and demanding attention.

Small talk

Guys, K is not a reply. If you ever reply to her one paragraph texts with a single alphabet, you better be fine with never hearing from her again. A curt reply like that makes you seem uncaring, uninterested and rude. However, if you do in fact, want to break up with a girl, K all the way.

No shorthand

Girls take trouble composing their texts. They will type and retype over and over again just so they can make sure it's perfect. While they don't expect you to take the same trouble, do make sure ur nt typng a msg lyk dis because they will dump you like a hot potato. No one over the age of 14 talks like that — it's childish and most women are turned off by it.

When in doubt

If you're not a star when it comes to wording love messages, you can cheat by quoting a romantic song or movie. You are guaranteed it will have nearly the same effect. But follow up by saying 'This always reminds me of you.'

Address her

When texting a girl, especially if you're just getting to know her, always use her name in the first text message you exchange. This is to clarify in her mind that you are not mass messaging and talking only to her. Like we said, ladies love to analyse your texts.

Play a little hard to get

Don't be too enthusiastic with your texts — for every two you send, make sure she replies at least once. Coming across as too eager — especially via text, which makes you look extra keen — might scare her off.

Word play

Whether it's sarcasm or a slightly naughty text, go slow and don't overdo it. Remember with text, a lot is lost in translation. What may seem cute while chatting will come across as cocky or rude via text.

CelebritiesWhy Don Jazzy Is Nigeria's Most-respected Star by Mogten(op): 8:42am On Apr 08, 2015
Judging by the manner in which he carries himself, one might think he is only just a prodigy. Riding in Bentley and the likes, Jazzy is a made man, yet, he remains humble. He is amongst few, the Nigerian celebrity who does not think too much of himself. The man does not think of himself better than anyone at all. When you don't think too highly of yourself, people will of you!

Don Baba J relates very closely with his fans so much so one may think they have been knowing since before he became a star. He is one person who is generous enough to offer his fans recharge vouchers for free on a Monday, and empathize with the pained on Tuesday. That's just how much he cares.

It beats me how he manages to stay apolitical and so devoid of ethno-religious sentiments in a nation where most people will bash other tribes for the slightest of their misfortunes, even when they undo theselves by their own hands. Jazzy is not one to get mixed up in the whole tribal and political Orubebeism. He is a true reflection of the Nigerian--an emblem of peace and hardwork.

The man respect and thinks the same of everyone regardless of age, gender, political or religious background. Were you to base only on the Don's accordance, you may think of yourself the same as Atiku, not because you have his financial might, but because Don Jazzy accords you just the same amount of respect that he does Atiku. This naturally implores you to love and respect the man, Don J!
Politics2015 PRESIDENTIAL POLL: Five Things We Have Learnt by Mogten(op): 7:18pm On Apr 01, 2015
The Presidential and NASS elections may have come and gone, but wasn't without its drama and unfoldings. Below are some of the impression the just concluded presidential election has left on us:

(1). President Goodluck Jonathan was only a ceremonial head.

Yes, you saw that right. Nigeria is no Britain, but you would be forgiven for thinking such. Or how else does one explain that a good, kind-hearted person runs a bad, corrupt government?... Split personality? The president's sportsman-like showing yesterday has left many chanting him as man of the year. The statesmanship act shown by GEJ has left Nigerians and foreigners alike in awe of the person of Jonathan--a remarkable person surrounded by sycophants. FFK, Okupe, Abati, Diezani, along with Patience Jonathan among others, ran the show, while Mr Ebele was more like the chauffeur following directions. Yesterday was evidence enough that mr president was manipulated and made to make decisions he wouldn't have of his own volition. Whatever their reasons were, they did bring a good man down along.

(2). Nigerians are beginning to rise above religiosity and pettiness.

Some may have voted along religious or tribal lines, but a majority of Nigerians' votes were devoid of religious or ethnic bias. The Arab world marched and killed in order to achieve revolution; Nigerians did so by means of the ballot. To the majority, Saturday and Sunday's votes for the general were not of people who merely wanted a change in government, rather, they were marks of the strength of a people who have risen to take the bull by the horn and demonstrate that political power truly resides with the electorate. Nigerians have stood to make their votes count. A Christian in opposition party won the senate against a sitting Muslim governor in a Muslim dominated Niger senate... Speaks volume of people whose outlook to things are changing. On top pf that, add other sitting governors and big shots who lost in this election, then you will get the picture.

(3). It takes just one moment to destroy what took a lifetime to build.
Or should I have just termed the whole phrase "Orubebe"? One moment of insanity and 30 minutes of madness has hung the man's fate in the balance, irrelevance trails him like they had a deal. Orubebe lost his way and lost it. He might have later apologized, but that's like medicine after death. So watch your tongue while you are in control.

(4). Nigerians have turned the tides by their own hands.
Nigeria's stock is rising. Barely 48 hours after the elections, news has it that the Nigerian Stock Exchange had increased by more than 170 billion naira. Who would have thought! Nigeria and Nigerians are being poured encomiums from all around the globe. Funny how just one day changes things. What once looked like grey sky is turning into white cloud for Nigeria. This was because Nigerians changed the course of events by just those votes. More so, we shamed the world by voting peacefully at a time when the world expected things to have turned out the exact opposite. 2015 was termed "make or mar" for us as a nation, Nigerians MADE it. Here is thanking President Goodluck Jonathan for making that speech that has changed the course of things.

(5). Failure has no friends.
Ok, he did not fail in truth, because for me, he is the hero for just that one act. Asari Dokubo's "I'm a friend of anyone in power" tweet confirms the fact that people will always only stick around when the going is good. When it gets bad, its then that they remember that before you, they were.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
