payless: Is that a credible source? Facebook has become the launching pad where Ibos spread lies after lies. Response from Kano indeed.Oya, take: http://famouspeoplenews./2013/12/12/obasanjo-attack-on-jonathan-mallam-idris-mohammed-dakata-kano-wrote/ |
Doubtful Thomas ![]() |
Mallam Idris Mohammed (Dakata, Kano) Wrote:: "You don't expect Jonathan to lick your ass. You must be a wicked man to have sent nearly 10 names to Jonathan requesting they all be made ministers. When you were president, did Shagari, Abdulsalami, IBB, Shonekan or Buhari send list of Ministers that must be appointed? "You wanted to appoint all PDP Excos all by yourself and when party members and the President objected, you started writing baseless letters. Your political influence has dwindled to nearly zero and I'l advise you proceed straight into retirement and leave Nigeria to the younger generation to govern". Obasanjo, you are a frustrated man, I know that. You are scared the little man from a small village in Bayelsa will leave a legacy that will overshadow your fruitless 8-years in office. "An Hausa proverb says, "a woman that has no child, wouldn't mind the whole world dying all at once, cos she stands to lose nothing". Most allegations of corruption levelled against Jonathan's government in the last 11 months are mere fabrications, as they are well orchestrated by the same people and group". How could Nigeria lose funds bigger than the amount she earns as revenue? Something doesn't add up. You cannot lose what you do not have. Obasanjo should leave Jonathan alone, leadership is turn by turn. The rail Obasanjo could not manage, Jonathan fixed the bulk in just few months. The power plants Obasanjo abandoned, wasting over $18billion in the process, Jonathan has fixed and linked with gas for operations. The roads and airports are all being improved. Agriculture is booming again after over 45 years of neglect. Obasanjo, Allah is bigger than you. Leave Jonathan alone. You failed in your 8 years tenure, let this man work. EDITED. Those living in/around Jos, let's meet in here and transact. |
All the best people! |
Olugbenger: The OP who is from ABU, got some random pics, selected the worst and uploaded them creating this thread. He goes on, using several registered monikers to drive his view and has been exposed. Then you should have uploaded the best pics to prove otherwise. QED! |
Olugbenger: are you not being hypocritical now?Wish I could behave the sort. I was saying... Lay down your arms in admission of defeat. I'm giving you a chance to leave with your head held high. You don't want these problems. You had more than 24hrs to prove how OAU betters ABU, you still could not. All I was going to do was take you head on, but you never made any point of note. |
Olugbenger: Don't give me that. My civility and morality is always negotiable.Nigga, don't make me go berserk!!! . I nor want guillotine person ooo... Toh! |
Olugbenger: I had to show up again and say;Looks like you guys celebrate mediocrity. I find it rather pathetic that you laud such inept remarks. Stop being chauvinistic and look beyond your nose for once. |
Oneprodigy: 1st class for Ife Msc for ABU... Ogun Idile niyen naa... when scholarship yapa..Ge shi hang kwallok eh!!! |
Sayet: Sorry bro,Jarus is currently doing his msc at university of Edinburgh. How could you tell someone that bagged first class from the great Obafemi Awolowo University to now descend so low to the extent of having a second degree in Abu...*smh*G.O.A.T!!! |
One cannot deny that he raised some valid points. |
Olugbenger: Go to the first page of this thread and read through the posts of your folks from ABU. You should have a rethink. They are their own persons. You do not relegate an institution owing to the behaviour of a few of its stakeholders. |
Olugbenger: Oga mi, these guys are just quite stubborn and unrepentant. They had to degrade OAU just to drive silly facts and score cheaps points.LOL @degrade. Funny how in an attempt to glorify your school, you make it sound like ABU is some second rated institution to it. Looks like you're using this thread to massage your already inflated ego. You're the benefactor after all. Clap for yourself. |
Henry46: Many many things my brother, so many things.Well, that's debatable. That a Nigerian uni is ranked above another does not justify that she churns out more employable graduate than the one below(I stand to b corrected, but shey the rankings in 9ja are done based on how much computerised a uni has gone?). History, influence and wealth makes a University prestigious.... And on such grounds, I doubt any uni beats ABU in Nigeria. You'l be amazed the number of abusites in both public and private sector of the Nigerian Economy, more so, the powers they wield. |
misterh: and please remind me the last time you overtook OAU in ranking. Alumni is plural, sir! Say thank you! The proper word is alumnus. Well, i'll excuse your ignorance. What's in a ranking though? |
misterh: just so we're clear, i respect people equally. Even if you are not from one of the heavyweights varsities, what matters is your individual intellect and your being smart. The school just polishes your intellect and potential. All I'm saying!!! Point is, no disrespect to lecturers and all concerned, most those technocrats became what they are as a result of individual brilliance, efforts and dedication to a path. All they do is chart you through a course.... Shey dem want teach me to play football for class? But should I become successful in football tomorrow, people will shout he was my student! |
Olugbenger: The pictures posted on this thread are NOT without special effects. Okija_juju took his time, visited the school and provided plain images.ABU is way more beautiful than is presented in those pictures. A visit will convince you... I don't dwell on beauty though, when head dey hot, who dey even look structures sef. |
Olugbenger: Stop trying so hard to defend what is not.I'm not being defensive brother. Just looking at things from an objective angle. Most times, people form an opinion base on conjecture and hearsay. We cannot truly say what school is the best unless we have complete relevant information about the said institutions. I'm an ABUsite, it's only natural that I'd be inclined to say ABU is the best uni as per academic and on infrastructural basis, but that'd be fallacy... How many other schools do I even know? Most these things are relative. |
mathematician: in terms of academic standard, ABU is wack, nigeria's top 5 are OAU, UNILAG, UI, FUTO, FUTA.Highly Subjective. There's no generally accepted measure of academic standard in Nigeria... If you could place them on an equal footing and shun bias..., only then can we judge. |
Sloan: People, ignorant people, who have never been to OAU or ABU see a few pictures of ABU and conclude it is better than OAU!?? You lots must be silly kids! What do people mean by naturally ahead? That is plain illogical, people get ahead in life because they make the efforts and have the smarts to be ahead, hope they don't indoctrinate you with that at ABU or anywhere else! And for those who think he buildings are the most beautiful in their world, it is because they've never been to OAU. The Senate Building at Ife easily dwarfs that small, short one in ABU and it is by far superiorly positioned as you drive in from Road 1. Which university in Nigeria has any structure like Spider Building or Amphi African Theatre?? It's a shame ignorant people are allowed to speak in public. You're the most ignorant of them all! you should have just uploaded pics to quell doubts rather than quote sermons. |
Olugbenger: The powerful alumni doesn't add up to the fact that ABU still lags behind UI, OAU, UNN, UNILAG and even UNIBEN in educational standards.Nigga, you're dumb!!! that an ignoramus like yourself could be found in the "progressive" south is testament to the fact there are top notch unis in your supposed "backward" North. What exactly are the yardstick to your analogy as regards academic excellence? All I see up there are the opinion of a myopic skew-sighted t.wat. Come state how ABU lags behind those Southern unis and have your a55 whipped!!! Ko da me ka zo, mun fi ka. |
Will ASUU offset our house rents accrued over the course of the strike? |
Most often, I read updates on blogs, facebook, twitter, bbm and other social networks and be like, these exact words sound familiar.... Then I remember, oh, I read it sometime back on nairaland. Thing is, its not only the main story itself that you find on these sites, it's nairalanders' comments. Goes to tell just how much impact nairaland/nairalanders have had in Nigeria and beyond. At first, I thought I was just being, well, a nairalander, until I saw this post www./m/blogpost?id=6404731%3ABlogPost%3A478042 today and recalled I saw the same on nairaland last week. The blogger did acknowledge the writer though. |
