Abfinest007:Were you not taught about the 36 states of the federation and their capitals in school? Learn to differentiate between Calabar in Cross River State and Uyo in Akwa Ibom State. Don't go and learn, be there thinking and dreaming about bedmatics. Unam ikot |
dustmalik:He or she is watching that match and pretty much every other matches (epl, la liga, ucl, et al) using Trend TV / CTL - which has been available and showing steadily in the south east and south south only. I owned CTL when I was in Uyo. Most people arguing about TSTV are resident in the south west (and maybe north) who haven't been privy to CTL /Trend TV. To me, TSTV seems like an upgrade of Trend TV /CTL being that there'll be more channels (100+ channels) as compared to CTL's 40+ channels. CTL decoders aren't HD enabled, so I'm hoping TSTV can fix that.. Merits: 1. TSTV Subscription = N3,000 as compared to CTL's N3,150 and DSTV's N13,000+ 2. ALL important matches (epl, la liga, ucl, afcon, cup qualifiers) will be streamed live via beiN Sports and other Sport channels. 3. Movie channels are lit! mbc 2 does it for me on CTL so it's good to see the channel on TSTV. News, Documentary and Music Channels will make it worthwhile. 4. Pay As You Go - many Nigerians have been screaming for this for eons, DSTV's silence was deafening, now here we are... 5. 10GB of data as bonus to N3,000 subscription. I hope this won't be a one time /one off offer. 6. Add yours Demerits: 1. beiN Sport has one dedicated English commentary channel, one french commentary channel, the rest Arabic. So, be ready to listen to funny Arabic commentaries or blast music with your DVD home theatre while watching football at times lol. 2. Signal Strength/Quality on CTL is average at best - once rain starts dropping (just drizzles) with slight wind, channels buffer and lose signal. I'm hoping TSTV has this aspect covered? 3. You cannot preview programmes information before or after they're showed on CTL unlike DSTV. I'm hoping TSTV does better than CTL 4. Customer Service - CTL can be funny and annoying sometimes. You could be watching a particular game/sport on beiN sports channel 2, the operators at their station will change / switch to another sport channel. wtf?! I once watched a Man Utd match on Champions league day only for them to change to Barcelona match. TSTV shouldn't try such rubbish. 5. Add yours Regarding exclusive rights to EPL, beiN Sports also have exclusive rights to show EPL and other matches in North Africa (see link below) just as DSTV has rights in Sub Saharan Africa. This is how TSTV intends to stream their games using the North African connection. I hope I've been able to make some clarifications. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Premier_League_broadcasters |

tesppidd:@tesppidd, 415V is considered a LT Voltage not High Tension... 33KV and above are considered High Voltage |
HopeAtHand:Fair words @HopeAtHand |
GodIsBiafran:Very well, I and other Akwa Ibom people will tarry a tad longer for more details and enlightened views...be it referendum or restructuring. However, it will be wise for the Agitators to be subtle in their approach so as to 'curry favour' instead of brandishing red hot irons down our throats.. |
GodIsBiafran:I mentioned earlier that it might have either been a "rumour or half truth", reread my post. Very well, who and who (which bodies and rulership) in Akwa Ibom State have you consulted with? How come none or many of us in Akwa Ibom aren't aware of these consultations? Did IPOB engage Paramount Ruler of Itu Local Government Area, our Federal and State Reps as well as Obong of Ibiaku Itam Itu for us to be informed that we're porting to Biafra? Such information must be made available with detailed agreements reached at any conclusion. Else, we won't vote blindly on a referendum only to discover that it was all a smoke screen |
HopeAtHand:The emboldened part is where, I think, IPOB / Agitators of Biafra need to seriously work on if they want Southern Minorities to join the Biafran Project/struggle... I grew up hearing stories (from my Grandfather) about Uyo being renamed New Owerri by the Biafrans before the war. As a grown and enlightened fellow, I think this was just what it was at the time - A Rumour or Half Truth at best. However, many people still hold onto this belief (that Igbos in Biafra will become as dominant and oppressive as the current Hausa/Fulani of Nigeria).. Including Akwa Ibom State and other Minorities in a "Proposed/Temporary" map is akin to including a Work Experience or Certification in a CV without having achieved such. IPOB MUST MEET WITH MINORITY TRIBES FOR DUE CONSULTATIONS IN ORDER TO ALLAY THEIR FEARS OR SKEPTICISM AND ENSURE THEY HAVE A SENSE OF BELONGING AND OWNERSHIP IN THE BIAFRAN PROJECT... Luggard didn't give us a choice in 1914 doesn't mean there's none in 2017. |

mrkhaynoni:Can this go for 40k? |

Collins10:@Collins10, I am just as stunned. What manner of f*ckery would make a supposed "girlfriend" or a certain "mistress" to commit Arson and still be applauded for it by sane minds? Emotional trauma or not, such despicable act should be strongly condemned else more and even greater atrocities as such will become a norm. Supposing the house was in a block of very many flats, WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF THE FIRE GREW INTO A WILD ONE ENGULFING MOST OR ALL THE HOUSES AND CARS ON THAT STREET BELONGING TO OTHERS? WHAT IF AN INNOCENT OCCUPANT WAS BURNT ALIVE? Would you all still be towing this line of thought? @missyadorable has to be the only female NLer that has made a reasonable remark regarding the OP. |
Lesson: Just make the money. A lot of it! |
