ggirl4real:Ok nice, I reside in AKS too and i'm looking forward to it as well. If I can't make it down there on Monday then it'll definitely be on Tuesday. I'd like to get in touch with you, if thats okay...how do I do that? I think it'd be nice to keep in touch for updates and network for other prospective roles... Meanwhile, did you submit an application at Federal Polytechnic, Ukana? I think they recruited sometime late last year |
hector:Yes, you can submit via post. You should do that asap as the deadline for submission is fast approaching. As for me, I'll find my way down there in person. Wish there was a proper satnav/Google map, that'd have made my journey a lot easier... |
Shirbrown: ggirl4real:@ggirl4real and Shirbrown, do you reside in Akwa Ibom? And how are you getting there? Would have gone but I no sabi road to Mkpat Enin...Help! Now I'm gingered to go submit an application as well Abeg let's connect and maybe start a networking group to share relevant information... God willing, I'll be AKSU on Monday or Tuesday unfailingly |
vanndubi:Wrong!! Single yellow lines indicate that you can only wait partially (for a short period) in your car but can't permanently park. Double yellow lines mean you can't wait at all safe/unless on rare occasions. Different waiting restrictions are applied to single and double yellow lines... Red lines have stricter restrictions, I think.. Funny thing is, I am not quite sure whoever applied those road markings is traffic guidance savvy because those sharp bends and probable tight areas should have been marked with double yellows.. www.drivingtesttips.biz/single-yellow-lines.html |
@OP, Senator Yerima is interested ![]() |
snowblaq:Ehen! So you're among those chopping my state's money? Pls I am directed to get refund from you.. ![]() |
Lol @OP, I hope it's not "vending machine" you're referring to as "fridge"? Nice one, mine wasn't that bad. Once took me almost a whole day locating TESCO and Boots at the city centre haha |
wadetaw202:Before you continue sounding like a simpleton, that was just for laughs. I guess you wouldn't know that since you forgot your sense of humour up your @ss. Get a grip man, stop sniffing around people's post like a twerp. nduchucks:Lmao! Dude sounded so pained over a jovially innocent comment I made. Such a ret@rd! |

Very understandable when a man cries due to the demise of a loved one but crying over little/bearable things is just being a wussy/sissy |

romoruyi:@romoruyi, I have just sent you my CV with a written covering letter (body of the email) regarding the Project Engineer position. I have more than 2 years of relevant experience in the field of project engineering/management. I am quite interested in the aforementioned role and would like a chance to discuss further.. |
Pastor Okotie, flee from this temptation |
What I've come to realise in life is that no 2 lives have the same journey as there's always bound to be a difference or, at least, slight change in circumstances. Hence, you can never learn from some other person's experience COMPLETELY! This, to me, is reality. |
chaptersix:Any nation with economic and military might can and will brag. How then do you think the US was able to invade Iraq, Afghanistan, and Lybia to declare wars and topple their governments - the end results? Terrorism. Clearly they are yet to learn because I see no reason why they're fighting a proxy war in Syria. Heck, the US is the only country to have used a nuclear weapon against another country (Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan) - what's more evil than setting/sending a country back to stone age? Also, how do you think the US would react if Russia decides to step up military activities and set up military bases in Mexico and/or near US territory or that of its allies? |
bettercreature:The only reason Turkey is declared a nuclear state is via NATO nuclear sharing courtesy US Airforce Base stationed in Turkey. More so, these warheads are not currently deployed for war (as in, the warheads have not been placed on missiles) and would need US and NATO approval to be deployed and launched - Now, how long do you think that'd take? My guess is, at least a day. Russia doesn't have such quagmire on its wheels. Russia has over 4,000 warheads against Turkey's 60. By ratio, that's more than 60:1 (this is a rough estimate, of course). Also, Russia has more than 1,600 already deployed warheads on Naval fleets (already in the Mediterranean), Airforce bases and others. Turkey would be obliterated before it is ready to launch a single nuclear attack on Russia. Then Again, French President doesn't seem to like Erdogan very much especially after the Paris terror attacks and I don't see all NATO members sticking their necks out for Turkey. Countries like France, Germany and UK (especially) would need parliamentary approval before joining in an all out Nuclear war...British PM is currently lobbying opposition to gather more votes in order to join NATO strikes against ISIS in Iraq and Syria. If that is the case, how long do you think it would take Britain, France and Germany to come to Turkey's aid? I'm not belittling or writing off Turkey, not at all. Infact, Turkey has the largest military (ground troops) in NATO bar US. However, with Russia having the best air defense systems, a huge chuck of the world's nuclear warheads and Airforce that's better and out numbers those of Turkey, the war would end rather quickly for Turkey. |
stinggy:Probably why US and it's NATO ally find it difficult to bully them (Russia) into submission. US and Turkey are playing a dangerous game; US is well aware of Erdogan's Turkey buying ISIS stolen oil from Iraq which is funneled via Erdogan's Son for cheap (at about $25/barrel) and sold to other buyers like Japan at international rates (at about $45). That's a huge deal and is akin to sponsoring terrorism. Teorrorism can only thrive when there's availability of funds to sponsor its evil deeds, and either Erdogan (through his Son/Daughter/Secret Service) has been sponsoring ISIS directly or indirectly - by turning a blind eye while Syria-Turkey porous border, manned by Turkmen, has been left unchecked for ISIS to operate in and out of Turkey freely when and however it pleases. When Putin's Russia found out about the ISIS Oil tankers passing through Turkey unchecked, he decided to focus on destroying ISIS source of wealth, killing Turkmen (Erdogan's militia men) as well. This didnt go down well with Turkey and Erdogan who decided to act rather crudely by shooting down a Russian jet that barely entered it's airspace. How about Turkey inconsiderably violating Greek and Syrian Airspace at an alarmingly high rate... The big question is, with the touted sorties of bombings carried out by the US and NATO on ISIS positions and strongholds, how come US never considered bombing ISIS Oil business - Oil trucks and illegal refineries? With the US and Turkey mainly/primarily concerned about removing Syrian President Assad than fighting ISIS, then I think there's more to this ISIS and power tussle in the Middle East than we are made to know and understand |
sugarvallly:You too! End time otondo |
Russia can easily destroy Turkey with nuclear bomb: Russian MPSounds like the Russians have already carried out Russia vs NATO war simulation... Should be interesting to see who blinks first ![]() |
vivaciousvivi:Report this morning puts death toll to at least 120 people. 8 different well coordinated attacks carried out - hostage situation in restaurant and stores/mall, shootings and suicide bombing at a concert, etc. 8 terrorists confirmed dead so far, soldiers and police deployed, France on total lockdown as national state of emergency has been declared. Whichever terrorist group(s) is/are responsible for this mayhem then it might be somehow related to the war in Syria and/or Yemen.. A football match between France and Germany was ongoing when the attacks commenced.. Still following the news on BBC, CNN and AL JAZEERA |
More than 60 people are dead according to news report. Death toll rising as investigation continues.. Seems like a well coordinated attack, automatic weapons used in attacks.. RIP to the dead |
At least 40 dead according to news report. Death toll rising as investigation continues.. Seems like a well coordinated attack, semi-automatic weapons used in attacks.. RIP to the dead |
