Based on the News report The Nigeria Customs Service Recruitment has been suspended

GOVERNMENT only reduced the over head cost and capital expenditure of all MDAs. So personnel cost wasn't touched. Customs has done promotion, so there's a vacuum with other retirees. Moreover customs generates there own fund excluding other federal government interventions

Yea corona, but FG suspended recruitments because they slim fitted this year's budget as a result of anticipated fall in revenue, warranted by crash in global oil prices. According to them, they can't afford to add to the wage bill they are paying already. It won't make sense for recruitment to go on when they can't afford to pay the salaries of new officers.

Which recruitment no dey compromise in Nigeria. Forget Hammed Ali integrity, as if the list wont get to federal character commission. Na there most package they take place. Those guys in federal character commission can replace and slot in any name

How do one know genuine slot. Because a friend of mine bought customs slot last year during the recruitment. 500k, he was asked to pay 200k upfront. Then balance after getting the appointment letter. Now his name didn't come out for the CBT, but the fellow told him he shouldn't bother. That slot dont need exam. That he ll be call for appointment when the time comes.

The Senate, on Tuesday, okayed the sum of ₦238,149,325,832.70 for the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) for 2020 fiscal budget.

This approval was sequel to an adoption of the presentation by the committee on Customs, Excise and Tariff and subsequent consideration at plenary.

DAILY POST also learnt that Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has warned MDAs to submit their audited accounts or risk punitive measures.

Senator Francis Alimikhena, who is chairman of the committee, said out of the total expenditure for the year 2020, N98.61 billion representing 41.41 percent is for Personnel cost; N15.95 billion representing 6.70 percent is for Overhead Cost; and N123.59 billion representing 51.89 percent is for Capital Cost.

Alimikhena also said the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) has a revenue framework of N1.5 trillion to be remitted to the Federation account; and N178.7 billion to Non-Federation account for the 2020 fiscal year.

He further disclosed that the NCS in 2020 will undertake the recruitment of three thousand two hundred (3,200) officers and men, as well as implement the Customs Service Salary structure for 15,892 officers and men of the Service

Buying a fed.govt job depends on the grade levels, ministries or Agencies. The price for Agencies are higher from #1.5- #3mil. While Ministries are like #500-#700k level 8 then #900k-#1mil goes for level 10.
I don't sell jobs o.....but I've come across many with different prices as am looking & hoping for the best.

Almost all the customs officers leave big. Those in Abj here are rockers. Do fly around d world for vacation. I wonder where dey see money despite no boarder in Abj at customs headquarters

Which one is good posting or bad posting again. customs officer in the headquarters where there's no container or borders dey enjoy life. moreover wherever you are posted, you can't be there forever. They ll always be Transferfrom one command to another.

I wonder too, support staff are meant to be in the office and other specialist area like kitchen, clinic, store, account, media and the rest

That is why you still see foreign rice in the market despite the land border closure.You pay the custom officers poorly and tell them to monitor smugglers. You just opened a lucrative business for them.Government should review there salary and other emoluments upwards to reflect what other paramilitaries are earning.

I'm sure they must be a reason why there salary was d poorest among other paramilitary. Though d customs guys are big boys oo, forget. both international and local, dey enter anywhere and also live a luxury life. No matter where you are posted all of them get money
