I believe cutoff will reduc. If you observe, the ITA issued at the last draw was below 1000; unusual and unexpected. CIC expects to invite more people this year, and if they keep at high scores they would not meet up. I'm optimistic the cutoff will reduce. Scores as high as 450-460 is too high to go to waste.

please how did you go about requesting for a remark? I'm in need of it too. Thanks

You have to make a payment of N15,000 via draft to British council, and submit your test report along side. Thatsall.

Seek for a remark ASAP, i guess the eligibility for remark is 4 weeks after release of results or thereabout.

In the event , you want to rewrite. 1. www.edx.org ,University of Queensland, Australia Ielts academic preparation, this site is only relevant for task 2 prep.

2. ieltsbuddy.com

Thanks for the info, i'll check the link out.

I have applied for a remark, pending when the the result is out, i would study HARD for another IELTS.

What's wrong with your result? They are perfectly okay, except they have expired.

Well if you look closely you will see that i have not been able to achieve the L8 WSR 777...and i know the major hurdle is the Writing..if you can help recommed d a tutor... getting those scores gives me a 57 marks extra....on the CRS scores.

Please i have a question regarding the proof of funds to include in the application. i have the required funds in a fixed deposit, i fixed this money about 2 months ago. just to ensure i don't spend it, it was actually gifted to me.
1. Am i required to show that i have had this money for over 6 months? or will the FD certificate be just enough.

Thanks.

Hello House,

I would like to know if I can use a fixed deposit as my POF, I recently quit my job and I had to liquidate my Cooperative account which is in a fixed deposit account. I don't have a bank statement to show that I have had the funds for over six months and may not be able to get a valid statement from the coop society, they basically send the statement in excel format, no extras.

Thanks.

Are you sure WES assesses HND as a BSc?

I found the HND WES evaluation posted by someone on this site

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/fsw-2014-applicants-from-nigeria-lets-network-t202722.870.

its assessed as 3 year Diploma and post graduate certificate which is good news for me.

This and ACCA should fetch be a high score.

If you are having issues with the link to register your Quebec online account to be able to apply on Monday 25th, use the below link instead:

https://mondossiercitoyen.gouv.qc.ca/General/index.aspx

Also, the MPNP 2016 Exploratory Visit Route is now open, send your resume and copy of your IELTS to mpnpexploratoryvisit@gov.mb.ca and you may include a little message saying you are interested in their Exploratory Visit programme. For more information, go to their website - www.immigratemanitoba.com

Hi Jesus the way,

Please help out, How does WES evaluate HND .
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Momoluwa: 1:54pm On Jan 22, 2016
SlowlybtSurely:

Calculate your scores here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.aspThis is more reliable link as it is directly from CIC.

However, it is true that your score can increase by 50-60 with just 0.5 difference in any of the modules. You might want to retake IELTS. If you max out on your scores and get 470, you are sure of getting an ITA without having to go through the PNP hurdle.

Thanks for the prompt response.

I have just assessed my score using the website you sent. and it puts me at a score of 468, provided my qualification is two diplomas or more .

Please advise.

I have another question.

Since WES will assess ACCA as a 3 year degree and HND as a BSC equivalent , on the CRS score simulation can I fill my educational qualification as

1. two or more certificate Diploma's of degree one must be a program of 3 or more years
or
2 Bachelor's degree 3 or more year program.

Thanks

Also make use of www.ieltsadvantage.com

Hello,

Please I need your advise.

How reliable is this site " https://www.canadavisa.com/comprehensive-ranking-score-calculator.html" in assessing my CRS scores cos when I keyed in all necessary details with my current score age and qualification I got a score of 422, so I adjusted my IELTS score for writing test which was a CLB8 , to a CLB 9 and my scored jumped from 418 to 475 so.....I'm thinking I should rewrite the IELTS... so I can achieve this score, my 30th birthday is coming up soon and I know I will loose only 5 points for that so I should still remain on 470... I practically forced hubby to write IELTS and he performed above my expectation.

Please advise.

Please advise me. Thanks.

Hello People,

Great comments all the way. I scored 441 points (8.5 Ielts, 4 Years Experience, UK Bsc Wes has evaluated). I got the Ontario invite like everyone else. I have 2 questions for anyone that can help.

1. I am using my fixed deposit statements as proof of funds. Will this fly?
2. Payment is only via Money order, Postal order and Bank draft. I have been to every bank in Nigeria, but none of them can provide this. Anyone else with this challenge and how did you resolve it

Kindly assist people!

My sis had this hurdle and equally had to scale it. If you have a family member in Canada that you completely trust and can transfer money to using Western Union, he/she can raise the bank draft using a Canadian bank account, you mail your credentials to her/him, he/she can help you submit your credential along side the bank draft.

Hi Guys...so for me hubby and myself has done IELTS, Hubby's ECA is completed, Mine is still in the works.

I am an ACCA member and I recently stumbled on some on the Canadian CPA website, there is an MRA between ICAN and ACCA such that you complete an assessment alongside meeting some requirement, then you can apply to become a member and become an CPA member provided you meet all the requirements. I am however skeptical on whether or not I should go ahead with the process.

Has anyone done something like this and it paid off?
Will this boost my chances of getting a PNP?

Please help.

My self and my husband would like to apply , we are currently processing our WES evaluation, I have HND and Hubby has BSC and MBA. I'm still 29 and would like to enter the pool before I turn 30, Hubby's school(UK) has sent his transcript to WES but we have to wait for his Nigerian BSC transcript to be sent and that can take forever. Can we have only Hubby's MBA evaluated? so as to eliminate the waiting time for the BSC transcript.

Am I suppose to have this fund in my account as at the time of entry into the pool?

Can I enter into the pool, then gather the funds together?

At what point am I going to be required to show proof of funds?

and what if the fund is a gift from....say my mum. is that going to be acceptable?

Thanks ya'll

WES requests on their website, specifically for Nigeria's HND to send both ND and HND transcripts. If you have Bsc and Msc, the higher is the one they will reckon with and do a final result on for it's Canadian equivalent but I advise in this case to send transcripts of both.

Proof of funds is required when you have been taken in the EE pool and asked to send your documents in support of your being issued PR Visa so, you may start saving NOW!

Wow thanks ya'll, information overload. Here ooo......are you suggesting I send just my OND and HND, leaving out the ICAN\ACCA?

Yes you do need to wait for your IELTS and ECA before you can submit your profile as you'll need the reference numbers on the documents.

Hello Zandora for the Wes evaluation did u opt for the course by course report or the document by document report. I want to apply for work permit, which is best?

Thanks,

Include both your ACCA And HND in your WES application to enable you score point for 2 post-secondary education. Meaning that you must have both transcripts sent to WES

Hey thanks, I have ICAN also can I include that?

Dear All,

I had just wrapped my head around the idea of leaving the country, Series of events which got me thinking of the kind of future I want for my self and my family.

I'm 29, Married with two kids, I have a good Job, I work with one of the Big 4 audit firms, have been working for close to 6 years. My hubby also is not doing badly. BUT I need to leave this country, not for me but for the sake of my children.

Here goes my Credentials

HND- Accounting Upper credit
ACA- ICAN
ACCA- Wrote the last 2 papers in June and hoping to scale it.

Several soft skill training on the job
Very good audit and accounting knowledge.

Am I eligible to apply?
DO I stand a chance?

I have read some ....on the CDIC site, Raising the required finance for a family of 4 would not be difficult, I just need to know if I stand a chance of making it through.
