Politics / Re: An Honest Explanation Of The Nigerian Civil War by Moneywomen17(m): 7:27pm On Apr 28, 2020
As i much as I go back and forth with ibo online. I will admit ojukwu fought a just cause on behalf of his people cuz I would do the same for my people. I just wished he could have done something’s different leading up to and during the war. Nigeria is a wretched country going nowhere. The ethnicity’s in Nigeria are not meant to live together. I don’t blame ojukwu action I only blame his execution.

ofcos....it won't suit ur taste cos it talks about the igbos....I don't know y we r dis hateful n sentimental.....reverse d tides....let this thread praise Awo(peace be onto him) n u will nod ur silly head in approval....it's time to grow a new Nigeria like d USA where humanity counts first before tribe....pls join us in dis adventure
ogbeni shut up wit ur emotional rant. If it was about awolowo any ibo with half a sense will also ask for a source to prove the write up. That’s how things work. U just can’t come online and start writing bullshit with no evidence to back it up and when people challenge it u call dem hateful. If the write up is real u will have no problem providing a source. Den after we can talk about the point made in the write up. Ang I guess u are blind that u cant see in the write up where it try’s to undermine awo achievement In favor of Zik own. Is that not being hateful and sentimental.

Nonsense !
Cocoa house is still standing tall there in Ibadan .

Dugbe, where cocoa house is located remains the financial/economic hub of Ibadan city .

This thread is distasteful to start with .
How you people decided to rope a dead Tamuno into your propangada beats me ??

Are you comparing that market to the numerous industrial estates built by Awolowo in Ibadan and Lagos Today, those estates are responsible for the chunk of Nigeria's industrial outputs and Lagos state's economic and tax base .

Awo built industrial estates in Ilupeju , Apapa, Ikeja , Mushin and Ibadan . This was done in 5years of his premiership .

Guy , Awolowo was in the league of his own . Awolowo no be una papa mate at all.

Baba built TV station even before Spain and other European countries .

Whenever you see NTA saying 'First in Africa ' , remember that was made possible due to the genius of Obafemi Awolowo.

God bless the sage Obafemi Jeremiah Awolowo

now this are facts

You see...you have to reason smartly...

Why must conclude that the excerpt is fake just because you were not furnished with a link?

I am sure you do not have the professor's bibliography/complete body of work to ascertain whether he actually wrote the essay.

May it interest you remember that before the advent of the internet, scholarly output were basically on hard copy.

The piece looks like a column or a contribution to a journal/paper.

It could as well be factual/authentic.
if I have to reason “smartly”u also have to reason “smartly” If there is no link to the write and it’s being read from a book why not take a screenshot of the write up and the book. If it’s a column or a contribution to a journal/paper post it also. If there is no prove of this then question has to be asked where is it being read from which means it’s fake.

You have stood to be corrected. Besides Kings College, Lagos, which other school in western region that could run with schools from the eastern region?

The western region was lagging so bad in second tier of education where the best secondary schools in western region, primarily Lagos, were filled with kids from outside the region. I really do not know who loaded today's Yari.ba peeps with silly fallacy which made some of them to assume they had monopoly to historic facts. It was one of the biter facts Akintola and Rosiji fell out with Awo. Some jackasses from western region will wrongly attribute the solid showing of kids from eastern or midwestern region in education as beneficiaries of Awo’s so-called free education. Yet they forgot the crappy free education was limited to PE
ogbeni stop saying crap. Where do u get ur fact that secondary education in the west was filled with non western. Ibo and lies are 5@6. Secondary education was even more better than primary in the west. The west had more teacher in secondary school than primary school which points to more student. In fact it’s the other way round cuz east had more primary school teacher compare to the West that has more in the secondary. There was never a time that the West lagged behind in education. I stand to be corrected on this. U can bring ur source to prove me wrong. Also before u get to secondary school don’t u have to go through primary. In the states school is free for student until college. So I don’t see what’s wrong with that.

You read it with a biased mind. There was never free education in western region. The myth about Awolowo's free education almost relegated western region behind northern region in the strata of education in Nigeria. The people of western region were taxed into tank that parents could not afford secondary education for their wards. It was so bad that Akintola put stop to the nonsense lessen the burden of taxation on the people of western region In the eastern region, education was not totally free but with quality education.
am the biased one says the liar saying shit without fact. There is nothing free in the sense that yes it was the tax of the west that was used to sponsor the educations. But there is no proof that parents could not send their children to secondary schools. The western region had the best education back then so I don’t know what u meant by quality education regarding the west
