Ghostwon65:dumb ass how can only oba be removed for short in the whole sentence. Ur example igbi n’oba came out as igbinoba as short which is logic. So omo n’oba n’edo a full word just happens to be just oba for short a word that coincidentally means king in Yoruba. Let’s say it were even true that I believe u which I don’t not in the slightest cuz u brothers are huge liars it still shows that the word oba doesn’t mean shit in ur language and it’s just short for the full title. Meanwhile in Yoruba we have oba, otunba title which has existed for centuries all over every Yoruba land. Oja oba in every Yoruba land too. Local ruler of a particular land are called baale. So tell me how did yoruba borrow the word oba from benin according to u liars in the 1950 and there is the so many words relating to oba that go back centuries. 3 Likes |

Ghostwon65:lies oba doesn’t even have a meaning in edo language as most of ur brother have admitted several times here what u have is n’oba. And oba doesn’t mean emperor in edo cuz to be an emperor u have to have an empire. When Benin was still a kingdom in early stage the king was still called omo n’oba n’edo so stop lying. N’oba means shining and that’s not a name for an emperor. How can Benin be legitimate owner of a title that has no meaning in ur language. In Yoruba oba is king. Title relating to oba is otunba or u Benin go claim we adopt otunba title too. In oyo past traditions those who are buried with the king are called abobaku. Did we borrow it from Benin too. Get it into ur thick skull. Oba is yoruba n’oba is edo. U only borrowed oba. Shikena. 5 Likes |

All this dumb Benin boys. They have admitted that oba doesn’t mean shit in their language. What’s they actually have is something called n’oba which means shining.and in full it’s omo n’oba n’edo which means the one who shines for edo. So it’s obvious n’oba and oba are not the same thing. So why are Benin using oba when it doesn’t mean shit in their language is a million dollar question Benin cannot answer. Oba means king in Yoruba language. Otunba a very well known Yoruba title for centuries means king right hand man. Every market around the king palace is always called oja oba all over every Yoruba land. In oyo past tradition those that are buried with the king are called abobaku, and so many more. But according to thick skulked Benin a word that has meaning in Yoruba and other words with related meaning was borrowed from edo that the word has no meaning to them. It’s ever obvious who is lying here. 2 Likes |

gregyboy:dumbass stop lying ijaw doesn’t acknowledge Benin whatsoever. So if ur king wax the one that lied and till today he still continued the same lie. His is that Yoruba fault. Ur king was licking Yoruba ass on his own and still doing the same thing till today. It’s either ur king are the greatest ass lickers of all time or he is telling the truth. Either way respect ur king and bow to ur Yoruba ruler. 4 Likes |

gregyboy:dumbass do u have any prove that ur oba lied and for political reason. And there was no political party called Yoruba. There were many tribes like uhrobo, ijaw and co in the western region. Why didn’t they lie too about connection to yoruba. If he did lie cuz of western region there is no more western region so why is ur current king still lying. 3 Likes |

It doesn’t mean king in Benin and there is nothing even called oba in Benin according to u and ur brethren. It’s omo noba nedo. TAO11:thanks for the interpretation. With that said I wonder what it means in edo language. Edo said there is nothing called oba that it is omo noba nedo. The child that shine. First of all a ridiculous title second of all who was this first child. How can u call a king a child. Now all of a sudden oba has meaning again and the meaning is shining. Which one should we believe. So does it mean their king is called “shinning ewuare” how does that relate to a king. 3 Likes |

davidnazee:ade in Yoruba is crown what does it mean in edo. Egbe in Yoruba is like society or community I don’t know what u mean by uwa but if it’s iwa it’s character. With that said oba means king in Yoruba but in ur language it has no meaning so how does what u wrote make sense. |

davidnazee:but oba doesn’t mean shit in Benin though. How can there be oba and they will not be called oba does that make sense to u. Yorubas in Benin called their king oba but I guess they adopted it from u a tribe in edo who they have never heard of in their life. Smh. 3 Likes |

gregyboy:if there was no connection how then did we borrowed the word oba from u. Why does ur oba claim his ancestors came from Ife. Why does he say he is number 40 king cuz oranmiyan was number cuz I don’t seem to remember Yoruba putting a gun to his head to say it. Why does ur edo son egrhaveba who wrote a book where his source according to him is the king and chiefs and lot of prominent families in edo wrote that ur king head is buried in ife and ur king came from ife. Cuz last time I checked those people are not Yoruba. 4 Likes |

How can a word be borrowed when it has a meaning in the language and plenty of others in the Yoruba language relate to it. davidnazee:u are the one who is defeated. And it’s not if we have the word in Yoruba language we definitely have it and it means king. Here we go again with the lies can u tell me one yoruba king that uses the word oba as a title. It’s always been separate and still is. Ur Benin brothers already said there is no meaning for oba in Benin language so stop lying. Ur king title is omo noba nedo not oba. Oba as a single word does not exist in edo. 5 Likes |

If u check edo well and edo related people like uhrobo u will know that edo boys are just lying are being deceitful here. Edo word for king is ogie. Uhrobo a related group word for king is Ovie. Itsekiri called their king ogiamen king of the water. According to edo before oba dynasty their king was called ogiso king of the sky. Oba has no meaning in their language but Yoruba oba has a meaning. There is several title relating to oba like Otunba. In the old days of oyo those who die with the king are called abobaku. It’s obvious as Bleep who owns the world at least relating to leadership. Cuz it doesn’t even mean anything relating to leadership in edo. 4 Likes |
