This otherwise innocuous article has brought the worst out of some people.

While the article compares UNN vs UI 1960s, your small mind can't even understand the basic concept.

You can't compare UI with UNN today, because everyone knows that UNN resources were carted off to ABU and UI during the war. Today, UNN still doesn't receive as much federal money as UI. Is the concept of fairness and independence new to you?
Next you will compare infrastructures of the eastern region with those of Lagos today, so that you can congratulate yourself!
Something tells me that you are not just educated enough to even speak to.
do u know what innocuous means. I only brought out the current state of ui cuz apparently this “innocuous” article which is fake and lie by the way try to undermine a lot of projects that happened in the western region by talking about a lot of the stuff done in the eastern region still standing strong today. Tell me what resources of unn was taking to abu and ui can u list it cuz ui has always been the best university in the country for a long time. And am not asking for ipob stats but real sources about what resources was taking From unn.

Your stomach ache is not just with the OP, you have issues with the contents, unfortunately for you, most of the points on the article are simply self evident, but hatred has blinded you completely!

You make a half hearted attempt to deflect the fact that the eastern region was the strongest growing economy in the World at that time: you countered that poor countries like Ethiopia often had fast growing economies, but you stupidly failed to address the point under discussion, instead you aver that being the fastest growing economy means nothing.

Can you imagine where the western government of Awolowo was evaluated the fastest growing economy? You guys will dance on the streets for a long time.

In this case, it is not only bad news for you, but you have to find some non existent reasons to discredit it. While you're busy looking for a quick poison to end your misery, please also verify that UNN did beat out Ibadan in professional academic performances during that period!

What a waste
ode is that the source I ask for. something we both know no professor wrote u slowpoke. USA is the largest economy in the world but can u tell me when last it was recorded as the fastest growing economy. It’s a fact that the western region was the best economy back then it doesn’t matter if it’s not the fastest growing cuz it has already achieved its growth to an extent. The only achievement of the eastern region was that it was the fastest growing for just one year what an achievement. Even the British wrote about how jealous ur leaders are about the wealth of the western region. Also can u compare UI to unn today.

Tribalistic heartburn, Yoruba jaundice, parapo hypertension, oloriburuku ulcer?
Which one is killing you?
well researched indeed my bloda. Can u provide a source to the reputable essay written by the professor before he died in 2005 May his soul Rest In Peace. If u cannot provide it shey make Ogun strike u for trying to lie about a dead man.

Why are people talking rubbish. He wrote too years ago before he died. He died in 2005 at the age of 83.
He was a good historian .
Everyone knows that igbos arthur achitacture of modern Nigeria. As far back, before politics entered business, an igbo man was the richest man in nigeria. What are you people arguing here?
Everything here is the truth. Listen to pretty civil war interviews, the whole nigeria was afraid of igbo dominance.
So what are you guys talking about ?
and it has nothing to do with u being an osu right and u guys are born liars. If he indeed wrote it before he died. Where is the reference to where he wrote it. Can u provide a link for everyone to confirm what u know for sure

ogbeni shut up Jooor, Google the world fastest growing economy now and see if they will mention anything like Ethiopian now. but as far back as then, the southeast has d fastest growing economy.
eagleu:

You pasted a clip on Ethiopia being the fastest growing economy in the World, but with the usual subversive and confusing Yoruba media, you conveniently forgot that Tamuno was talking about 1950, and not 2017 you cited for Ethiopia.

An oversight? Not likely.
Criminal obfuscation? More likely!
as usual simple logic escape u dumb ibos but as usual I will always educate u properly. I cited Ethiopia as the fastest growing economy in 2017 to prove a point that just cause an economy is faster growing doesn’t mean shit when it’s not better than a less growing one. 2017 Ethiopia was the fastest growing while 2020 it’s now Guyana. But Guyana and Ethiopia are still low income countries compare to France or Spain with less growing economies. Just cause the eastern region was the fastest growing in 1950 doesn’t mean shit when it was not better than the western region. Get that into ur thick skull. Fastest growing region is not an achievement that can be compared to an already beat region.

Never seen a more biased right up. First of all does the fact that eastern region was the fastest growing economy mean shit if it was not better than the western region. A lot of African countries like Ethiopia and Ghana are considered one of the fasted growing economy’s doesn’t mean they are better than Canada or even Spain and Portugal. It only means they are growing faster simple. It also talked about the onitsha market in comparison to cocoa house and praised the onitsha market as he should but called the cocoa house a white elephant project when it was on record that a lot of the wealth of western region then was through cocoa trading. Lots of people became wealthy trading cocoa and its proceeds was also used to pay for free health care and education, ikeja industrial estates that it’s legacies still live on in the western region today and so many more. The write up is nothing but one sided.

Ever heard of Igbo-Ukwu? Our highly sophisticated bronze metal-working art that dates back to the 9th century? The same one that the BRITISH COLONIZING THIEVES STOLE and display till date in their museums? While your ancestors were busy decapitating innocent people, igbo people were busy producing some of the most beautiful and complex art work ever found till date. If only you were properly educated, you'd have known this for a fact instead of coming here to embarrass yourself. grin grin grin grin
ogbeni will u shut up. When art are talked about ibo take several seats. Ife art is know. Over the world for the quality.

Hon, they are both equally horrid pictures. Your ancestors also looked like primitive sh1ts and you cannot even try to claim one group looks better than the other.
If you indeed want to compare, use the fully clothed igbo women and we'd see who truly looks better grin
one is young ladies having fun the other is horrible. Meanwhile the pic u posted na male or women.

and u do know that those second sliders were art right admired by foreigners in museums all over the world. Those arts were made when ur ancestors were flinging shit at each other naked
