Phones › Iphone 14 Rumor Suggests Apple Will Charge Less For Pro Features by monichannel(op): 7:34am On Jan 15, 2022
There are about eight months to go before the iPhone 14 comes out, but there’s no shortage of rumors detailing Apple’s plans for the 2022 handsets. The most frequent rumor describes the major iPhone 14 Pro redesign. The notch is going away, with a dual hole-punch camera system to replace it. The hole-punch and pill-shape cutouts will give the Pro models an unmistakable identity while “killing” the notch. We've also seen a price leak that indicates the iPhone 14 models are getting more expensive. But if this brand new iPhone 14 specs rumor is accurate, buyers who choose the more affordable models might get a few key Pro-grade features for a discount.

A new iPhone lineup

Apple will launch four iPhone 14 models this year, as it has for the past few generations. But Apple will reportedly make a significant change to the lineup. There won't be an iPhone 14 mini in stores this fall. Instead, Apple will use the same two sizes for the non-Pro and Pro versions. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will be on the more affordable side of the spectrum. Each of them will get a Pro version: iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

All same-year iPhones feature the same set of basic specs. The iPhone 13 mini and the iPhone 13 Pro have the same A15 Bionic chip, primary camera, and other internal components.

The iPhone Pro models pack more RAM and feature an additional telephoto lens. Moreover, the iPhone 13 Pro models come with 120Hz displays, which is a first for the iPhone.

You have to pay at least $999 for the iPhone 13 Pro to get the best possible specs. Comparatively, the iPhone 13 costs $829 if you don’t take advantage of the carrier discount.

The iPhone 14 specs leak

It’s too early to say whether the recent iPhone 14 price leak is accurate. But an insider claims that the iPhone 14 will start at $799 like the iPhone 13. The iPhone 14 Max would cost $899, however. It’s unclear whether these prices include the same carrier offers as the cheaper iPhone 13 models.

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will cost $1,099 and $1,199, according to the same leak. This gives us the same $200 price difference between the cheapest iPhone 14 and the most affordable iPhone 14 Pro.

This brings us to the new iPhone 14 specs rumors, courtesy of MacRumors. The blog details a research note from analyst Jeff Pu, who says that all iPhone 14 models will get 120Hz displays, not just the iPhone 14 Pro.

Similarly, all iPhone 14 models might feature 6GB of RAM. Currently, only the iPhone 13 Pro models have 6GB of RAM onboard.

Add the A16 Bionic chip to the mix, and the iPhone 14 will be close to its Pro version when it comes to specs than any previous generation. That effectively gets you an iPhone 14 Pro experience for $200 less than what you would have paid in previous years.

The obvious caveat remains the camera system, as the iPhone 14 Pro models should still feature triple-lens sensors. Moreover, the iPhone 14 Pros should feature a 48-megapixel primary camera. Finally, only the iPhone 14 Pro devices will get the hole-punch redesign.

As with all iPhone leaks, Pu’s specs information has yet to be confirmed. The same goes for the iPhone 14 price leak.

Foreign Affairs › 'we're In A Competitive Market' - US Military As It Offers $50k To New Recruits by monichannel(op): 7:18am On Jan 14, 2022
The US military has increased its enlistment bonus to $50,000 to battle recruiting issues, calling the military business of the world a 'competitive' job market.

As US Army recruiters have been struggling to meet quotas during the pandemic plus reduction in the number of high school and college students that join the military, the Pentagon is now offering a $50,000 maximum enlistment bonus to new recruits who sign up for six years. It’s the first time the bonus has reached $50,000 and a 25% increase on the previous max bonus of $40,000.

“We are still living the implications of 2020 and the onset of COVID, when the school systems basically shut down,” Maj. Gen. Kevin Vereen, head of Army Recruiting Command, told the Associated Press.

“We lost a full class of young men and women that we didn’t have contact with face-to-face.”

The army says some careers, including missile defense crew, special forces, signals intelligence and fire control specialists, provide a better chance at receiving the full $50k than others, but the bonuses are based on a number of different factors.

In 2021, new recruits’ average bonus was $14,000.

“We’re in a competitive market,” Vereen said. “How we incentivize is absolutely essential.”

Brig. Gen. John Cushing, who serves under Vereen, implied that the increased bonuses would only be eligible to people who enrolled during the fallow period. Fallow period is between February and May when army recruiting is usually low due to dew people graduating from school.

“It is certainly a weapon that we have in our arsenal,” Cushing said. “And I think we’ve used it effectively.”

The US Army has also taken other measures to lure recruits. In 2021 it increased the option to enlist for two years, expanding it to 84 different career fields. In addition, some of the new troops will have the option of choosing where they’ll be assigned.

“We want to promote the value of serving your country first,” Vereen said. “But we also know that, this generation and I guess human nature, you know, it’s all about compensation, too.”

It's not totally true. The clipboard is developed with bespoke Artificial Intelligence that identifies a device for sensitive information like email address.

In essence, other people can easily see or have access to every other words saved in your clipboard when you copy them like nairaland, Facebook, Technology, Kenya West, etc.

However, sensitive information like email address and bank details won't be made for public consumption. It's saved on the clipboard cache of a device where such information have been entered for a multiple times.

That's it.

Some weeks ago I saw a story of a guy who got defrauded and he banks with zenith bank. After the scam he felt all was lost but then he reported to his bank Zenith and impressively they reached out to the fraudsters bank and notified them and actions where taken and he got his money back. But why is it different with Gtb?I really felt bad because I got defrauded in a Job scam sometime last year of almost 80k by one guy using union bank and I reported this to my bank gtb and nothing has been done about it uptil now..even after i provided details to them..its so shameful seeing how another bank has the intrest of its customer at heart and helped him recover his money but my own bank did nothing.
The question you have to ask yourself is "Is it legitimate to pay for a job offer?"

If your answer is yes, then you have a case; but if your answer is the reverse, you may get yourself into more trouble.

- Over 180,000 votes unannounced yet.
- The current difference is around 80,000 votes.
- The current loser can still win with over 100,000 votes.
- The unexpected is about to happen.

They know why they left these two LGAs to be announced last. Reminds me of 2015 presidential election.

The most selling and profitable IT niche worldwide at the moment is Data Science of which Python programming and Linux OS are involved. You can get grounded in this field within a year or two depending on your learning speed.

Other top skills that are profitable are Cloud computing and Internet of Things. However, these skills are hardly sought after in developing countries like ours.

Digital Marketing is in Vogue but most people in Nigeria doesn't know the value, as such, it won't give you the type of money you're looking at.

With the zeal in your tone and determination I felt you have, I'll recommend you go for Data Science.
