A man had no other choice than to have surgery after an 18 inch cassava he carved in the shape of a penis got stuck in his anal sphincters while trying to use it as a intimacy gadget through his anus. The unnamed patient carved the Love Machine out of cassava, a root vegetable native to South America and Africa. He had sensibly covered it with two condoms before inserting it, but had to call in doctors after one of the cassavas broke inside. Without the lubrication, the 55 year old couldn’t get it back out without causing serious damage and potentially rupturing his intestine. Surgeons at San Juan de Dios Hospital in Costa Rica took close to two hours to finish the procedure, local news reported, but thankfully the patient recovered from his ordeal. cc. lalasticlala

Prostitutes in France marched to the front National Assembly building in Paris, France to protest after a new law was passed that penalizes the patronage of prostitutes. The French parliament on Wednesday passed a law that now makes it illegal to pay for sex in France making them the 5th European country ( after Sweden, Norway, Iceland and the U.K) in the world to criminalize prostitution. Under the new law, pimping and brothels remain illegal, while it is legal to offer your body for sale but illegal for someone to buy it. Offenders may be fined up to €3,750 (about $4,300) and required to attend classes about the conditions of sex workers. The law also establishes measures to help prostitutes find new work, and makes it easier for foreign sex workers to acquire temporary residency permits. France’s Socialist government welcomed the new legislation. The bill’s architect Maud Olivier told AFP: “This law is essential to ending the idea that it is normal to buy someone’s body.” "The goal is to diminish [prostitution], protect prostitutes who want to quit, and change mentalities. We will succeed in changing the mentality, but new efforts are needed to raise awareness, to train police officers and magistrates.” But some of France’s nearly 30,000 prostitutes did not share Olivier’s conviction. About 60 demonstrators, including sex workers, protested the new law outside the Parliament, some carrying a sign that read, “Don’t Liberate Me, I’ll Take Care of Myself!” Source: BBC cc. cc. lalasticlala.

France parliamentary has pass a law making payment for sex illegal. The French MPs finally approved the new legislation on prostitution following more than two years of rows and opposition by senators. The motion was passed by 64 votes to 12 with many MPs absent. The Guardian reports that this law had made it illegal to stand in a public place known for prostitution dressed in revealing clothes. It had been widely criticised by charities and support groups on the ground. The legislation passed on Wednesday will treat the sex worker as a victim rather than a criminal. It will also make it easier for foreign sex workers, many of whom are illegally in France, to acquire a temporary residence permit if they embark on a programme to find other work. A crucial part of the legislation is that it will abolish a controversial 2003 law, introduced by Nicolas Sarkozy when he was interior minister, that banned passive soliciting on the street. In France, prostitution itself – receiving money for sex – is not a crime. But activities around it are. Laws prohibit pimping, human trafficking and buying sex from a minor. Brothels were outlawed in 1946. source: http://thenationonlineng.net/france-makes-paying-sex-illegal/ cc. lalasticlala.

Foremost Kenyan prophet, David Owuor yesterday arrived Lagos, where he is billed to be the chief guest preacher at an interdenominational Christian platform, “Repent Now Nigeria,” . The programme will hold this weekend at the MUSON Centre, Lagos. Speaking with journalists at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos shortly after his arrival from Kenya on Thursday, Prophet Owuor said he has come to Nigeria to put an end to the “gospel of money” which has led to a shift of focus from righteousness, repentance and holiness to materialism. “Nigeria is a God fearing nation, but now if they are really God-fearing, then this is the moment to return to the true gospel of cross and the blood- the holy salvation and the gospel that is not connected to money- that we may prepare the hearts of the people and the nation for the coming of the Messiah and then everything else will follow. “The Bible says seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and everything else will fall in place. So I really bring the message of holiness of repentance and to prepare for the coming of the King. So the kingdom of the church you see in Nigeria now, the building of universities, the money and private aircraft acquired with big money and all of that is going to come down. That is why I have come. I come with tremendous powers and there is no question about that,” Prophet Owuor declared. A former doctorate research at various universities in the US before his spiritual calling, Prophet Owuor claimed that God has spoken with him about the coming of the Messiah and that himself has spoken with John the Baptist, urging all Nigerians to hearken to his message while his ministration lasts at the event. He described the church as an instrument for reformation and for preparing the nations for the coming of the Messiah. “This is the moment of the latter rain, the latter visitation, and so you have to at this time, come on board and Nigeria also has to come on board and this revival has no bounds. However, there is no time. “Whatever that has been instructed out is going to be given out; big harvest is taking place, visitation is taking place. So I really come to rise up against the gospel of money, that is in this city. The gospel of buy your morning water, whichever water, gather people from Southern Africa, carry money to greet the men of God. “So, all that is going to come down now. We will now return to Christ Jesus the Lord and to the free salvation of the Cross and blood and then of course, there’s a healing service coming up and the Lord will begin an open heaven here by the visiting of this land to establish the message. The Messiah is coming, let us prepare together,” he admonished. source: http://thenationonlineng.net/ive-come-demolish-money-gospel-nigeria-kenyan-prophet-2/

Good day nairalanders, please i need your advice. Please i av a friend who works as a teacher in a private school somewhere in surulere Lagos. She has been working there for over a year now and there has been no increment in her salary but of recently her boss decided to remove #8,000 from her salary, when accosted, she said its was for TAX and that's what the federal government of Nigeria has asked her to remove. Please how many percentage of one's salary should be deducted as TAX? And please how can she report this daylight robbery to the FIRC (FEDERAL INLAND REVENUE SERVICE) or any other government body responsible for TAXATION? This is just too outrageous because i know of some people work as teachers both in Government and private schools do not have such high percentage removed as TAX from their salaries. Please i need candid response. Thanks. |

If by chance there would be a 3ww, i just pray it would be after i av left this earth because apart from the instant destruction of lives and property, 80%(if i'm not understating) of the world would be immediately turned into nuclear waste land where no life can survive at all. |
