It's almost useless learning in Naija. Most of what she learns won't be useful in Uk and may even be detrimental... I would suggest getting her international license from Naija which she can use for 1 year, taking lessons in Uk and practicing on the international license if she has access to a car and insurance based on the international license.
Ok.. thank you but, I learnt that driving lessons in UK is very expensive. She has never driven before ooo. Please do u know how much is the international license in Nigeria?

If she never driven before... 20k is not too much . If it's me I would do it so I have some understanding of how to operate a car
Ok. Thank you

Hello house my cousin sister will be joining her hubby in the UK after the covid whara. She wants to learn how to drive for two weeks but, I was contemplating with her if, learning in UK not better than learning here in Nigeria. Because I feel that if she gets to UK she will start all over instead of wasting her money to learn in Nigeria. The one she wants to start for two weeks is N20,000 for just two weeks. Please dear house any suggestions or advice will be appreciated. Thank you.

Yes of course I have family in the UK

Not advisable biko. To stay 3 months if you told them u were going for 1 week? Nah.
Especially for the 1st trip of the visa, stick to what you wrote or around that figure.. not to go and stay for months when you know that’s not what u applied for. Before the covid break it was hot for such individuals when they were reapplying.
I never said so. We were talking about explaining to eco why stayed longer than what the person filled. Of course, I will not advice any body to stay for 3months in a six months visa, just try to maintain the duration u stated on the application form, since is ones first visa. one might choose to stay one month in a two years, 5 and 10 years visa if u choose provided one did not overstay more than six months.

I don't believe your story period and i would't advise anybody to do so.
If you like don't believe. I am an adult and I can't just lie. My six-month visa stayed 16days instead of two weeks. My two years visa stayed 3months and then applied for five years and stayed six months. The advice I give is that one should not make UK his home by frequently visiting or overstaying.

In the last ten years I have traveled to the UK more than 20times!! I have spent 5weeks, 4weeks, 3weeks, 10days, etc. on a single trip and I have never had to explain myself.
How do you expect me to believe this when there is no way to verify it?
#Justwise is very true. All my visa applications I didn't explain because there is a place in a drop box that u will be asked how many times av u travelled in the uk, then how long did u stay. No need of explaining any thing if you had a genuine reason that u visited and u never overstay. My 1st visa for six months I put Two weeks and stayed more, then another visa I stayed 3months and the next six months I stayed, So I never explained and got all my visa. I will advise that the person in question need not explain too much, if no overstay, just tell the ECO that u really enjoyed your vacation in the UK and will be glad if given another opportunity.

If the kids already have a passport or their father is settled (ILR or Citizenship) then there is no action item for the kids

It would then be spouse dependent Visa for your sister and the 18,600 for her alone will be enough
Noted. Thank you

You just said the twins are citizens .. wetin dem wan apply for if they are? Unless you mean the kids are actually not citizens yet then they just need to go down the citizenship route

Spousal Visa is just 'Spouse' and doesn't apply to kids. One needs to obviously include the kids' names on the form. He needs to meet the financial requirements for just her.

Hello house Pls kindly assist me with this question from my sister. My sister husband lives in the UK with a permanent residence. My sister has twins (2years old) that are UK citizen, . Now she wants to apply for spouse visa, she wants to verify if the kids need to apply too ?since they are citizen do they need to apply for settlement visa ? Will her husband only meet financial requirement of £18600 for her alone or he needs to meet the financial requirement for the her and the kids?. We are a bit confused here. Kindly assist please. Thank you.

Please my I recieved my Uk visa last month and my entry date will expire on in 2days. Will I have to apply for a new visa after the lockdown since I cant travel because the airport is closed.
You received your UK visa last month? The visa duration you received last month guess is for six months right? If it is six months, u received last month then your visa will expire around August or September. U can travel within that period. It doesn't mean you have to travel the exact date u put in y on line application. Moreso with this covid -19 home office understands and the issue will be retify.

You don't need to apply for a new visa if your visa has not yet expired.

thanks . I have had some huge deposits prior to the start of the 6 month period which is still in my account , do i need to explain the source of the deposited funds before the 6 month period commenced or i only need to explain any large deposit within the 6 month period?
My advice is that you should print out the SOA from the first start of the six months, then if there is any large sum apart from y source of income explain. I will advice from the six months avoid lump-sum in the SOA u will submit. Just try to maintain your sources of income.

good day ppl, please is it only deposits or withdrawals in the statement of account within the 6 month period they look at when making a decision ?
They look at both. So u need to Balance the both. Let your spending/withdrawal be in portion with your monthly expenses asked in the application form. Then your deposit be from all your sources of income. Any large deposit apart from your sources of earning need to be explained with proof.

Hello House!

I have been reading from the beginning and have learnt a great deal so far in preparation for my application which will be in July.

So far, I have known what's required of me but I have a problem now, Hubby will change to a new job hopefully, next month.

The problem now is, what are we going to do in regards to not having a minimum of 6months payslip from his new employers?

Should we apply after six months of him working with his new employers?
@ Lexusgs430 please come to my rescue.
He will apply under CAT B. Goggle it on the website, u will see what CAT B explains. He can join the both salary. Or better still he can start the new employment and work for six months and apply under category A( CAT A).

The role of the HCA is very important, in delivering adequate care.....

Some HCA's triage patients, take bloods, do ECG's etc etc

This conversation started when Ruth May never gave any recognition to the dead Hca's and the press too, towed the same lines...........
I know. Even if she doesn't or forget to recongize them no worries but the way some members of these forum just started talking bad about the HCA I was not happy. I am a member of some health forum, the nurses fell bad and said good things about the HCA. While some of us in this forum that doesn't even know any job responsibilities of HCA started saying all sorts about them not bin special. No body should look down on ones job no matter how small.
