I'm very tempted to laugh at this thread. It started out quite funny but I think Michelin and topup have answered in their epistles.
My answer? Be yourself, pray very hard and try not to buy girls by spoiling them too much with gifts.
RomanceRe: He Wants To Marry, But I Do Not by Moonstone(f): 5:10pm On Dec 21, 2008
LoveAlways:
@Moonstone

The bolded sentence is my fear, because it is his culture (Igbo) to marry and have children. He does not know that I feel this way about marriage. Yes it is true, the idea of being "tied down" scares me. Thanks for understanding (laughing). I sometimes feel like the only women who views marriage as a "ball and chain." When I was a young girl, I never day dreamed about marriage or played house. Not even in my early 20's did I desire marriage or think about it.

Question to you: Are you married now? If so, how did you overcome?
Me? Married? Heck no! I haven't been unlucky enough to find the guy that would make me want to drop my last name and be "tied down" to him. But I can tell you this, you and him need to sort this out. Maybe he wants to get married to you because he doesn't want to lose you to any other guy. He wants legality between both of y'all and I can understand that from a man's point of view. Some guys also see marriage as a step of maturity that they are ready to settle down. Find out what marriage means to him and if it means a lot to him, you might as well settle for a little registry wedding. It doesn't have the be the church and white wedding gown. Let him understand that you do not want to be seen as an acquired property but you want to be seen in a different light than you used to be.

I view marriage as more than ball and chain instead I view it as jail term.

I do dream about getting married because of the glamour associated with it but these days, i'll be happy just having kids with a man.

Are you guys living together already? This might help you know if you will be compatible as husband and wife.

but do u think ur hornets are strong enough to face up to d celts and cavs, it would be better to leave the task to lakers grin grin grin grin
CP3 was on fire!!!!!!he runnin things

as for d lakers, lets just see what action jackson will take
but i must say, i expected more impact from bynum this season, season is still long so he better buckle up
also orlando must be given credit, i've noticed their improvement since, they've definitely stepped up a gear this season and they are enjoying it, they have a well-balanced team
How would I backstab one of my fave opponents? We were on the same side when Hornets were misbehaving because Lakers and Mavericks are the the only team I can stand in the West apart from Hornets.
My Hornets will train themselves. Most of them are young - CP3 only 23 and they have a young dynamic coach. At their prime, they will defeat Lakers, Cavs and Celtics with ease. cheesy cheesy cheesy CP3 is amazing and he showed himself tonight along with Chandler and D. West.

Orlando has improved. I give them that. Same with Heat. I see D. Wade is just blazing through with his team. A lot of teams have stepped up this season and it's very encourageing.
RomanceRe: He Wants To Marry, But I Do Not by Moonstone(f): 6:26am On Dec 21, 2008
Well Marriage is an institution that should not be joked with and if you really think you never want to be married, don't go into it. It should be a mutual decision. If he wants marriage and you don't then you guys do not have the same vision as to where that relationship is going. To tell you the truth, the only reason I want to get married is for the gifts and the evidence, LOL! I think it's overrated but it's good to have something that legally states that the man is yours to have.
I see marriage as being a two-way ownership. If a man thinks you don't own him, he has no idea what marriage actually is. But as some have said over time, it is not meant for every one. Pitt and Jolie are not married and they are happy adopting kids everywhere.

All I'm saying is if he really wants to get married and you don't, that could create a wedge in between you two so maybe you should talk about it more in detail. Hopefully, you'll be able to figure out what you want by then.
Also, I understand where you're coming from. The idea that I may be tied down to one guy for a lifetime scares the living daylights out of me but I thought I was the only female who thought that way.
SportsRe: Nba Season '08/09 by Moonstone(f): 6:15am On Dec 21, 2008
The team thingy worked for them last season and they were one big happy family but to lose by 2 pts to Heat and then 3 to Orlando magic in a space of 3 days is quite drastic. For crying out loud, Magic outplayed them in the 3rd quarter by 10 points. I just want to know what Jackson is doing about it. The guy might be getting quite old though

I am not sipping on any Hatorade but it's too much now ah ahn! Y'all need to crash and burn even if I have to pray for supernatural strength for my baby daddy (LeBron James grin). You sucked for a long time and got your reward last season, is that not enough for y'all?
Girl, I'm with the Hornets and they make me happy - most times. I like that.

Now was it only me that watched the highlights? Lakers lost to Orlando Magic. . . e gbami! What on earth happened to Kobe and his clan? I know I wished it but I did not expect it to come true at all. New Orleans won their game though so it seems there might be a little competition afterall even though we are meeting the Lakers next. May we win o! AMEN!!!
thank you my sister, too much of something is not good, just imagine all their starters shooting mad percentages against the bulls today, only rondo didnt get double digits but he still went two of three and had 15 assists, guess there were not enough shots to go round, not surprising when a whole perkins makes 12 of 15 FGs, even heard phelps was at celts on monday, today its usain bolt, whats with the association with olympic megastars, i don dey vex, my hate for them dey increase everyday grin grin grin grin grin

as for raptors, they need to settle down with a good coach as soon as possible or else. . . . any team beaten by thunder needs a rethink

gats disagree with that, he definitely improved a lot as a player this season, though he aint no all-star yet, what they've been sayin about his game sounds about right unless we've been hearing different things of course
I tire o! They have to crash and burn. I don't know when but it WILL happen and then I'll be laughing my head off at Chiogo and Jesoul because Cavs will be way ahead of the Celtics. I can't wait for that day. . . Oh Happy Day! I have been shouting that they need to lose since.

With a good player like Bosh, I would think they would use him to their advantage. You are right though - any team beaten by thunder needs a miracle and serious restructuring.
I think Rondo is a scaringly good player. It's only that his star is not shining as well as it should in Celtics with people like KG, Pierce and Allen. Too many good people. If Rondo was in Oklahoma thunder, y'all would see how skilled he really is
Those Mavs are seriously flirting with not making the playoffs with their inconsistencies these days i am not expecting too much from them and at this point they would be lucky to make the 8th seed.I am sure the Devin Harris trade would continue to haunt Cuban for a while dude dropped 41 points!! WTF was this irate billionaire thinking?
And why on earth is Devean George starting?  angry angry J.J Barea should get more minutes and something needs to be done about our bench their production has been piss-poor.They got to beat the Wizards tomorrow thats for sure

The Lakers lose again while the Celts win their 17th straight!! this team is looking like a back to back Championship team with each game
It is looking like only Cleveland can stop this Celtics team especially after seeing them beat the Nuggets on the road

@doyin13
I still feel the Lakers are too good for the West no team seems to be on their level at the moment
Cuban is a serious dictator. . . either he learns how to coach or he sticks to making money and consulting the coaches. That is what is hurting the Mavs. I can't believe they even lost like that. If they don't beat the Wizards, I'll shed tears on their behalf.
Lebron made a statement after their trashing of Nuggets last night that it is a "statement" to all the teams in NBA. I hope they catch up and surpass by February.
The Lakers are not too good for the West. Only Kobe and his recent "unselfishness" to people like Gasol, Odom and Walton are too good for the west.

I so did not see that coming. It was a battle for the last 9 seconds. D. Wade missed a free throw shot and so did Gasol.

It's saddening that the 2 final teams are just blazing away this season.

I don't know what the Mavs did on the court today and I refuse to know because N.J. Nets schooled them in the game of b-ball with J.Kidd there, you would have thought they would at least lose by only 10 or something but no oooo! They lost by 24. 121 - 97 is not a joke.

Then finally, the Raptors were defeated again today not by Hornets or Spurs or even Wizards but they were defeated by Oklahoma thunder for crying out loud! cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy Anyway, at least Oklahoma thunder is getting closer to winning at least 5 games this season.

Nuggets and Cavs are playing now . . . Cavs better win. They are 4 games below Celts as of this minute.

I refuse to join the bandwagon and support Celtics. This is too much for my system. They need to lose jo! cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy
