dipo2much:Imagine! Shebi, we're all here together. No shaking. I am sure beyond any doubt that you will people will come back crying that it was ojoro. . . . that's your usual chorus after Man U beats you. . . I'm expecting a verse this time, please invisible!:bring your mind back o! You will be surprised what these men can do. They will have all sorts of excuses ready such as 'it is because Wenger did not wear his socks, that's why Arsenal lost'. Those are the stammers i'm looking for. Tkb, leave them alone. This is what I call temporary disorientation. In these stages of a match, arses are bound to spew absolute rubbish from their mouths. in the next 5 hours, you'll see overconfidence, then in the next 15 hours, intense denial. |

toneyb: God never claimed to be both Light and dark. God has always been the Light as in John 1:4-5 In Him was Life; and the Life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. Satan is also called Lucifer which is latin for 'light-bearer' which goes on to the Illuminati theories but I won't get into that now, for the sake of all of us. Pretty much, that was the reason why Lucifer was thrown out of Heaven, because he tried to enlighten himself to be above God. The books of Isaiah and Ezekiel talk about this in very subtle terms but we know they were talking about Satan. Satan was present in the Old Testament when he was afflicting Job and if you read that passage, Satan had to ASK for permission. It was not God's intention to put Satan in charge of hell. Mind you, Satan was not created to be God's equal. He was created as an angel. Let me use human family now. If a man gives birth to several children and one of them is just downright evil, will the man kill his child? Technically, he had a part in creating that child and as much as God delighted in creating both man and angels, none of us have been put to death, spiritually. Even those that are going or are in hell fire, are not dead. They are just being tortured. Those that have died, have died only in flesh not in spirit. You make it sound as if God is handing over men to the devil so that the devil can discipline them but that is not true. God is saying those that are righteous belong with him and those that are not, should be condemned to the same place as Satan. I said this before and I'll say it again - Satan was the first to go to Hell Fire. He is the pioneer of hell and therefore, automatically in charge of hell. God did not put him in that position. It was by default. I'm not sure if you have heard the concept of God of Old Testament being different from God of New Testament but all is a lie. The Bible is one book. The Jews separate the Bible and focus on the Old Testament for a reason. if you read the book of the Old Testament, you won't blame them. Israelites when through literal hell because of their disobedience to God. God made a covenant with them that has scared them to death and created a religion for them. Most of the Old Testament, if not all, was focused on the Jews and in the books of the minor prophets, reading the prophecies about Israelites gives you a pretty good idea of how strict God was with them. However, Christians (literally meaning followers of Christ) are different from the Jews. First, we believe in Christ Jesus and because we believe in Jesus Christ, we believe in both the Old and the New Testament. God has nothing like dirty work. Again going back to the Old Testament, He said He was going to bring death upon the Amorites, the Israelites, Judah, Moab, Babylon. . . he did not need the devil to bring catastrophe upon those nations. So there's nothing like God's dirty work. He does what He says He will do. The reason of God's vengeance was based on the fact that there was no saviour. You can see that in the New Testament, God is not vengeful because the ultimate life was sacrificed for us. God in the Old Testament, had to deal with the people directly. They had to offer sacrifices but Jesus' death has paid for all the animal sacrifices we can possibly make because the Blood He shed on that cross was blameless. We are Christians. . . that's the important point here. You seem to be confusing Judaism and Christianity or using one as a yardstick for the other which is not right. Back to the Christian argument. We are not Jews. If we want to start comparing Judaism to Christianity, that's another ball game entirely. We believe in both the New and the Old Testament hence believing in Heaven and Hell because it was stated in the New Testament. We believe in both Testaments but what separates them is the fact that we have a Saviour in one Testament. And even if the Jews don't believe in Hell, we have one thing in common with them. We all believe in Heaven. As for the History, we can't use history as a basis. As far as I know, a lot of history is guesswork. Trying to cover up the gaps and coming up with ridiculous theories. Sometimes they have proof. Other times, not a lot to go on. Now that I am done answering you. . . toneyb, Please can you come up with your own arguments by yourself? Do you have to go to google and find answers to copy and paste on NL? i was so convinced that you did not write this that I looked it up on google. Lo and Behold, here is the answer you wrote on NL. Please, it might not be an academic site, but at least, stop plagiarizing your words, k?. . . Stop insulting our intelligence abeg. Your only original statement in that essay was the first one. http://whywontgodhealamputees.com/forums/index.php?topic=16573.0;wap2 |

It wasn't just D. Wade's show though he was the biggest contributor. Between Bosh, Wade and James, Miami Heat was on fire. At the end, they just sat together, resting in the final seconds of the 4th quarter. That's some insane team worlk. |

mazaje: There is no contradiction there. God banished Satan from Heaven into Hell. Now God does not want anyone to end up in hell. It is repeated time after time in the Bible that He is saddened when human beings are not righteous. It is not His intention but the Devil has come to steal, kill and destroy. Think about it in terms Spider man against Venom and Sandman, I'm sure that will simplify things for you. Spider man was the good one and Venom and Sandman just wanted power. That was what Satan wanted. Satan is generally evil and hell-fire is a place where he has been sent to suffer for the rest of eternity. It is only right that those that Satan has brought over to his side, should end up with him in hell. He needs more company down there, which is why he keeps bringing doubts into our faith. God does not trust Satan. He is only condemning all the rebellious people to hell fire and since Satan is a fallen angel (greater than man), he would automatically take charge. |

LOL. Leave us in peace jare just because Mavs are not in last position, you must be so proud. How come Dampier became better after he left Mavericks? Wanna answer that? He just made 2 great blocks against Kings simultaneously in the same play Okay, that aside, when did James become so ridiculous? Or have my rose-tinted glasses fallen off? . He got a taunting foul for clapping his hands at the Sacramento bench after making a 3-pter and I have to say his facial expression was hilarious |

poweredcom:I'm sure you meant to ask how do i know there's heaven or hell? Well the people that have died and come back have told us stories of these places. Have you ever met someone who has died and risen up and said nothing of heaven or hell? Forget the whole white man/black man stuff. You will make up any excuse to please yourself. I suggest you remove the racist part of it. Jesus was not racist and if there was any racism to this, the white man would have made you believe that you will be condemned for being black. Do your research well. It's not everything you don't see that does not exist. What proof do you have that there is air? Can you see it? Yet it performs its work. Gravity cannot be seen but it works in its own ways. . . . stop kidding yourself and actually look deep down. There is something more to our lives than just us so figure it out. |

the_telz:I get scared by things like that too because I want to live a fulfilled life then die at a very old age before the end times start. You do realize that since Jesus left everyone thinks the end time is going to be in their lifetime. Truth be told, to God a year in our lives is a millisecond. So I know how you feel. Just have faith that no matter what happens. He will take care of you. |

alexleo: I am just bothered by people that would much rather believe in things just because there is no proof. It does not make sense. The only proof we have that the earth is round is satellite pictures and random occurrences such as staring at the water and thinking it meets the sky. Apart from that, we don't see gravity but we feel it and just because it can be calculated, that's what makes everyone believe in gravity. None of us can see God but a lot of us feel him so why would you rather believe that there is no God just so you can have some constrained idea of freedom? No one is free but it is only that we have different degrees of freedom. @ kay17, because Heaven is spiritual. Nothing spiritual is subject to the physical laws. They are two different realms. |

I am so close to giving up on these Hornets. What is wrong with them? Losing by 5 points? Now they are sixth. They are slipping off the playoff chances slowly. i don't know who I offended. I bet Bawo would have been so happy with the way the Bulls beat Lakers. |

harakiri: Have you died before? Die and let us know the experience now. It's stupid for you to refute something you cannot prove. Can you prove that heaven does not exist? NO! So I guess we're in the same boat then, It is what I chose to believe. I'd rather have hope than just hope there's nothing there. I have not be brainwashed or spoonfed. It was my decision to be a Dhristian and I take responsibility of that. Tell me what happens in death if not Heaven and Hell, |

Spurs will still stumble joooo. They are hot now but if there's one thing we've learnt, it is that surprises happen a lot in the NBA. The gap between them and Mavs is just one loss and I hope my Hornets can really keep or exceed their current positions. I can't believe the Celts beat Phili by just one point. It was a very good game though. I want to see the standings by Christmas day. I have a feeling they might be a lil' changed, @ chic2pimp, I'm already missing him. He would have been posting by now but at least he's resting in the bosom of the Almighty |

darren20:1. Heaven is Real 2. Christians are afraid to die because none of us know when we will go and if you do as much as tell a simple lie, it could condemn to hell fire. 3. We weep for the dead because no matter where these people are, they will never be in our midst again. Also, some deaths are very painful and unnecessary. 4. Christian leaders are not completely holy. They still have flesh and we are constantly struggling with our flesh. We might be godly in spirit but until we shed the flesh (i.e. die) we are always going to be in a constant struggle with the things of the world. Christian leaders need money for several things and they don't acquire it so that they can intimidate one another or throw parties. They do so and often use that money for the work of God. Not all of them are that selfless but a lot of them are really in tune with these things. It is hard to maintain a building, much more a church with needy people or a constant need for increment. 5. Every Christian is sure about Heaven because that is where we believe God is and we will be worshiping Him when the time is right. |

They had May 5, 2000 as the end of the world. I remember that day because I was scared to death. A young girl like me thinking my life at a young age was going to end but that day passed by. According to the history behind 2012, they created a movie and the hype about it has increased into a book. After all that, they discovered that there was a mistake in the calculation and December 2012 is not the date. Now I'm hearing May 21, 2011. Please the Bible says that Jesus will come like a thief in the night. No one knows when. . . so stop putting up rubbish dates please the_telz:Telz, I don't need to read it. My Bible is all I need. There is no fact to the date Jesus is coming. If you read the book of Jeremiah and Ezekiel well, you would discover that people that God disliked were false prophets. He repeated in Jeremiah several times that he was not happy at the people for trusting in false prophecies that favoured them. Be careful what you believe. These facts might just be a way for them to imbibe some other "facts" into people. |

Religion / Re: ..... by Moonstone(f): 7:20am On Dec 07, 2010 |
mazaje:It does costs something to be atheist. . . for example, what happens when you die and find out there is really a Heaven and Hell system in the afterlife? If truly there is nothing like that, then being a theist won't stop you from accomplishing happiness in that realm but being atheist would hurt your chances of being in heaven. What then? The reason why I asked the question about the crimes is that most religions set guidelines such as don't steal or don't kill or love your neighbour. So does being an atheist liberate you from those constrictions? Lastly, about the name of Jesus, it has been documented that if you truly believe in the name, it can work miracles. However, people have so much used the name that it has become common knowledge to use it in terms of those situations. Every expression has a background. When you read the bible you find out why people use the expression 'Oh My God'. It's either used in pleasure or when crying to the Lord for help. The fact that people use that expression anyhow doesn't make a difference from the original meaning behind that phrase. Even in conversations, we use it when we are frustrated by something or undergoing some kind of pleasure (in joy and in pain). By the way, the Bible states clearly that we should not use the word in vain. If you call God with your faith behind the word, then things will probably work for the best. |

I get why you guys choose to be atheists and all that. You believe you've been enlightened and so on. . . my question is just this: What would it cost you to be a theist? As an atheist, what difference does it make to you ? Do you officially get permission to steal, do you get the permission to hate people? I can bet anything on it that if any of you are in danger, you call out to God and if that is not ironic, I don't know what is. It might be 'Oh My God!' or even 'Jesus'. These are expressions used in today's world. |

If they don't win tomorrow, I won't be surprised. As long as they don't lose, I'm good to go. No one should accuse me of not having faith.
