Rent is not something that becomes due overnight, it takes a year, are you saying that you don’t save for your rent monthly?
So you don’t even have part of it?
If you were willing to pay a part I’m sure he won’t be so angry as to evict you coupled with the current state of the economy.

I think it’s irresponsible for a man and his wife to just stay and have no emergency funds, or not plan properly for their expenses, and you now have a 6months old child on top of this.

Sell your properties if you can and give him part payment, and this should be a lesson for the future that you are supposed to plan for eventuality. Ask your wife to get a source of income as well, a two income household is necessary if you can not manage the family’s finances alone.

If you can afford a lawyer then get one to go and talk to him amicably, while making him realize your rights as a tenant as well. You can't really blame him too much, he's a human being also with his own problems.
The fact that you have not been paid at work should not be his concern, you have to let him realize what efforts you're making to settle him with alternative sources of income, even if it on a bit by bit basis.

Good morning my People, I am in a state of confusion & hopelessness here. My family (wife & 3 children) is about to face ejection from a house I supposed to be a tenant.
I have occupied the 2bed room flat since October 2011. I pay house rent yearly without owing my landlord. The house is 4story with 15flats. The hole occupants received their flat apartment keys same day (it was a new house when we parked in) part of our money was used in lifting the upstairs.
Fast forward to 2020, thing has never been the same for me, because of Covid-19 lockdown. I work in a private establishment and we are being owned 7 months of our salaries. My house rent expires every 31st August. I call my landlord ahead to give me more time to see if my employers will pay us, which he accepted. October is over and I am yet to received any payment from them. Things are very hard for me even to feed is now a big problem.
I got a call from my landlord (he was boiling hot) yesterday evening that he's given me till Tue 3rd November (2days) to pay him or get my belongings thrown out. The thing that is bursting my head is that he promptly told me that am not a tenant, that am a guest in his house meaning his house is a guest house. A house I had paid for 9yrs.
He used to be a good landlord but recently hes changing, he increase our rent last 2yrs and now that covid is affecting everyone he still increase house rent.


* Please I need people that knows and understands law for advice on what to do since he has told me he throwing me out without Quit Notice.

* I don't mind financial support or job opportunity, as I am sick of being jobless and I am scared of seeing my family embarssed, couple that I have 6month old baby. My wife is just depressed too.

I need advice on what to do as this may put me in to serious problem.

Last Tuesday I was at market trying to change a product that is bad when I received a call from. It was a land line I almost not picking because I not since this year some strange foreign lines will flash me. I manage to answer the call amidst noise environment.

She introduced her self as a staff with a new generation bank and she's calling in respect to an account. I simply told her I have no biz with the bank, she now told me my brother used my name as next of kin.

I remembered my brother telling me his salary account is with the bank she mentioned also he told me collect loan from the bank through his office, which mean his office must have sign it. I was being careful not to fall to fraudster too.
She told me he collected loan and he's stopped after 5month.

I Am worried because he travel outside few months back and yet to properly settle, and my effort to get him is not work.
And they won't allow me to rest, I had ask them to go and sort it out with the office.
How do I approach this matter?

You are right, just like if you catch a thief stealing in your house. You will allow him to go then punish who ever opens the door for the thief.

This is how I stopped my Son 5yrs and Daughter 3yrs from collecting and begging stranger to buy things for them.
I remembered a day I went downstairs with my daughter just to chill with my compound neighbors. I met a strange guy with some of my neighbors, we all greeted and I sat down and chat with them. After a while I went upstairs to do something and come down again, just to discovered my daughter was no were in the compound. I ask and was told she went to the shop next to my compound with the strange guy I saw in my compound. I rushed out to find her and behold my daughter coming back alone with a pack of big size cheese ball open and she’s already munching. I wanted to warn the boy but I had to control myself and thank, after all I made the mistake of not taking her upstairs. I gave her punishment for that. Before then my wife had told me how they beg for things we can afford. She won’t eat noodles and egg well but once a stranger is eating it she pick interest.

My Action.
I was on video call with my wife when my son and daughter pop in their head to see and talk to me because I work from another state. Then I notice a healing boil on my daughter’s side temple. When I came home for the weekend and was chilling with my family. I ask my son what happened to your sister and he said no idea. I then told him its because she always beg people for cheese ball, biscuit etc. he was so surprised and was like so if I don’t ask people to give me something to eat it will not happen and I affirmed it (a necessary deception).

The Result.
My son and daughter are used to surrounding me whenever am eating meal. But since then I notice both of them are seriously minding their businesses. Since then I have never heard my wife complain about the bad attitude again. Seeing how they refutes my meal request, my mother in-law can’t stop laughing, I had to beg her not to let them see it as a deception.

My Advise.
If you are finding it hard to stop them from begging, try out my method. If you have better method or idea kindly share it, let’s stop our children from embarrassing us.

Notice the difference in direction of the scar of fake Kanu in Pic 2 and the late Kanu in Pic 3.

Why does the fake Kanu have a facial scar direction of Sen Ifeanyi Araraume from below the eye towards the ear, while the late Kanu had his own facial scar from below the eye towards the nose?

Everything was fine BTW us till late last year when she started changing. Our sex life was great till late last year, whenever I make a move to touch her she always say she was tired or not in the mood. It was strange cos she has a large appetite for sex. I need help for my 8yrs old niece. Since birth, she's yet to talk, but she can hum any song/music from nursery, xmas rhymes & circular music well. To open mouth and talk is her problem. In fact she started walking in 2018. Also, She hates eating well (slim).
The thing she does that annoys me most is "soft or playfully knocking" of her head on chairs, furniture, floor, wall or even on human body for over 4yrs.
She is stressing my sister and her husband and they have taken her to different places for solutions.

I have this feelings that she's not the first case. I like to find out from those that knows or have experienced this strange illness to talk to me on how to help her.

Nevertheless comparing Nigeria weather with countries like ITALY, USA, SPAIN, FRANCE, CHINA, UK, one will find out that Nigeria is very heating. Yesterday afternoon in Nigeria, the weather stood at 37°C which is very hot. I remember during harmattan last year December, the weather was once 14°C and I felt so cold that to take my bath was a problem. Whereas this kind of cold is a normal thing over there even as of now. The USA was 8°C yesterday or so. A Google search now shows it is 12°C.

Whereas Doctors have on numerous occasions establish that the virus fester more in cold weather, and they find it hard to survive in hot weather. Hence, logically we can conclude that with the current weather in Nigeria, compared to the colder ones in the USA and many parts of Europe, well likely not get to the point of Italy USA etc.

Notwithstanding we must take due precautions as been shared around. We can't afford to take any chances.

Stay home. Stay safe. Don't spread the virus.
