Governor Obiano gets N10 billion loan Approval

Reports available to Newsflashnaija indicates that the Anambra state House of Assembly on Thursday unanimously approved a N10 billion loan for the state governor, Chief Willie Obaino.

The loan according to an executive motion presented to the House by the majority leader, Hon Victor Okoye (Anambra West Constituency) would assist the governor to complete ongoing projects in the state.
The motion maintained that the loan would be invested in areas that would yield revenue to the state before its repayment.
There was unusual presence of security on plain clothes at the Assembly complex while the loan was being presented.
Anambra state Governor, Willie Obiano and his predecessor, Peter Obi had engaged in war of words over the alleged N75 billion cash and investment Obi handed over on March 17, 2015.
Contributing to the motion for the approval for the N10 billion loan on Thursday the deputy speaker, Hayford Oseka (Awka South II) described the loan as auspicious.
The member representing Anambra East, Obinna Emenaka said the intervention of the loan was in the best interest of the people of the state.
Also, Pete Ibida (Njikoka II Constituency) praised Obiano for what he described as his prudent management of resources.
