And a country that cannot give itself ten hours of electricity is talking about going to a nuclear weapon summit. PMB can only be decieving himself because the highest excuse he would give for this trip is to stop boko haram from getting nuclear weapons nothing more

And when yunusa did the same thing with ese oruru what did you say about it. This is our religion our heritage. If ese oruru mother had also given her daughter the right lesson of life and had been a friend to her she wouldn't have eloped with a stranger because before she thought of doing it, her mother would have known about it. So think of this too as the right thing done by yunusa because of her mother's attitude and relate it with what you just said if it's right to do as human being. May God be with you and make you a better person.
please what stopped yinusa's parents from training him to be a responsible human instead of abducting peoples children young enough to be his younger sister and putting his uncircumcised prick in a young girl exposing her to VVF and whatnot I don't expect you give a reasonable response that's how mass production children reason.

tuale4u:
devaluation will only make import easy for importers. d current system will promote local production in d long run. All d people asking for official devaluation is to make import of luxury and import of products we want to make locally cheaper. This will kill local production. We are currently importing luxury and other non essential product at 320 naira to a dollar. If we devalue to say 250 and free forex, we start importing them at 250 naira to a dollar. This will kill d motivation 4 local production.

we must bear dis initial difficulties to achieve local production.

i support PMB rigidity on this. Any attempt tp go flexible we will return to where we have been and Nigeria wont progress.
please this luxury goods we speak of right now do we even have capacity to make a quarter of this products and please how can we when we don't have capital while interest rates is even demonic to look at or even. BOI Where it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of the needle than for you to get a loan

how can a young graduate be expected to get collateral three times the value he is asking for when he is not a thief

Buhari as far as reasonable people are concerned he has failed on the economic front he doesn't even understands simple supply and demand

Not a tribal bigot like some characters on NL but these Benue people are weak there is no law stopping you from carrying your matchet and defend your people from these marauders who seem to have pseudo backing from the government because they are now in power.
Nothing stopping you from planting certain some weed that will wipe out those cows in three days (yes I have seen it before used in dealing with stubborn goats that like eating yam seedlings)

Nothing stopping from forming vigilante they can't know your land more than you or are all the men that lazy the can't stay up in shifts
these and many more are ways you can save your people

Politics / Re: Nigerian Senate Fails To Pass The Gender And Equal Opportunities Bill. by Mordyb: 8:13pm On Mar 15, 2016
lastpage:

I also stand with the Senate on this one, for the following reasons:

1.) I am adherent of GENDER EQUALITY, that is, a MAN is EQUAL to a WOMAN, therefore none of the two should be given a special preference.
That is the EXACT meaning of equality, just like one man is equal to another man and are treated equally, without any form of discrimination.
Women should consider themselves equal to a Man (if that is what they actually want..... or just some advantage over men.)

2.) Like a Senator observed, Women make 70% of Lawyer and Judges in Nigeria! This means women are already over-represented (if we are looking at it from the point of "numerical equality"wink. This means they are already in positions of determining where "cases and judgements" go.
So, should men be complaining and asking for a Law to remove the "excess female Lawyers and Judges", for a position they are eminently qualified?

3.) Girl Education: This is a local problem within some families but as l understand, for every Igbo Man that goes to school, there are four Igbo women that go to school. The figure are near 50-50 in the South West where parents just send their children to school if they can or cannot afford it, irrespective of the gender so, who needs a law for "gender education" here? Looks like it is the male Child but hardly wil you hear women high-lighting this!

4.) Women want a certain percentage of all Jobs, CEO positions and even Political/electable offices RESERVED FOR THEM!
This is an insult to women themselves, except the lazy, greedy and opportunist failures amongst them who think the only qualification to a top job is is to "have a Bobby on your chest and a hole between your legs"!
The implication of such request is that "Women are less intelligent. less achievers, less qualified and dont have the rigour to achieve as Men"....therefore, we need to DO THEM THIS FAVOUR BY RESERVING POSTS AND OFFICES FOR THEM!

This totally negates the idea of EQUALITY that the same women are clamouring for.

It implies men a better human, than Women! They can achieve all their success by dint of hardwork, intelligence, competitiveness and cranial superiority!

But that cant be true because my own wife, by measure of intelligence, hardwork, intelligence and even superior knowlege, is a Director in a large conglomerate that has a staff strength of over ten thousand Nationwide and she has no less that 90% of all these staff, which includes men, under has control, in that firm.
Such women are totally against these sort of nonsense called "affirmative action/reservation".
The believe every woman should be able to prove herself, just like men prove themselves and only on that level can they claim GENDER EQUALITY

What we need si to strengthen our LAWS against any form of discrimination, based on GENDER.
You cannot discriminate against a person, for anything.... based on their intimacy..... be they MALE of FEMALE.

The trap we must no tfall into is to make separate laws for women and separate laws for men, that in itself will be discriminatory and nagates the principle of equality.

Now, to issues like "child bride", bride-stealing, divorce, inheritance, e.t.c, these issues are best tackled "INDIVIDUALLY" in the constitution because they are CRIMINAL IN NATURE and should not be taken advantage-of by feminist, to advance their illicit course!

For example, if the Nigerian constitution says the" marriageable age" of any child ...(Male of Female, bearing in mind that "sexual perverts" are also taking advantage of these women activists to further their own agenda; an example of these occured in a country like Ireland sometime last year) ... is "X-years", anyone who goes below it commits a criminal act. No "ifs", No "Buts", Finito!

Divorce is a peculiar case and l make bold to say, just as in some Western countries, Nigerian woman are seeking to emasculate men in Nigeria and "women and men of good conscience" should never allow this to happen. In the WESTERN WORLD, l need not point it out that their Man have been so emasculated that they live in fear of their Women/Wife! Their frustration can only be expressed in devilish acts like homicide (killing the wife and children) and suicides.
"Gold-digging women" have their eyes seriously on this one!

In Nigeria, we believe in trying our best possible, to keep the marriage together, in GENUINE PEACE..... as opposed to FEAR.
It is worthy of note that despite all these "strange divorce laws" instituted by women in this class (Feminist), it has never solved the marital problems in the West rather, it has made it very combative, turned it into a money-spinning circus for Lawyer and further broken down the family.

It can be said to b working at cross-purposes.
Nigeria will not fall into the same trap because we are supposed to learn from the mistakes of others.

The discussion is very wide but l limit myself to these few points for now.
I welcome contributions against my post, from others who have diverging opinions, as long as it remains intelligent and civil.

am forced to agree with you but simple aspects like education and right to be able to choose a partner and the right of widows could have been spearheaded by the female senators but nope they could not do the simple under ground work by raising the motion or even supporting the motion or repackaging certain aspects

Women are the cause of their own problems when the likes of Oduah and ekwunife can't even protest or use the womanly charms to convince the colleagues to push the bill but how can they when they will never like to see another woman reach their level

THE FULANIS ARE NOT BEEN TREATED FAIRLY IN THIS NATION BECAUSE NO OTHER TRIBE CAN REAR CATTLES IN LARGE QUANTITIES LIKE THEY DO TO FEED THE NATION.
