I normally prefer to read and observe in the background cos that way, I get to learn a little of things. But from all the responses and comments that I have read about @OGUNVIC vis-a-vis the issues with the car at the police station, I think the mistake he made was not to take prompt steps to get the car from and police station and also resolve with the other party (whose car was damaged).

That said however, I can also feel a lot of hatred and beef in some of the responses and comments. For instance, I see no reason why they should be called scammers as far as this current issue is concerned.

The driver's recruitment fee is just an offer that clients can decide to either accept or decline. It's not like they force anyone to pay it or try to get it through a deceitful means.

Based on the numerous complaints about the way they deal with people, I agree with the fact that they need to improve themselves in the way they talk or deal with clients.

What I see are 2 young guys who still need to acquire more knowledge and gather more wisdom as to how to deal with or manage relationships with people. But scammers? I don't think so.

@OGUNVIC & @ROMEO3, you guys should do the needful and get your client's car out of the police station, make sure it's fixed as quickly as possible and get it back on the road (that's if the owner still wants to leave it with your company).

Finally, you guys need to learn a lot from this and avoid it in the future.

We all have our shortcomings and we'll keep trying to improve till death comes calling...

GAZZUZZ:
I have not posted on this thread since the complaints by prodigyx1, I was stuck on the fence because by 1st week of febuary I will be going into fleet management and I didn't want to look like an oportunist.
kayode and romeo are both very good friends of mine, and they do a lot of consultancy work in my place.

I feel very responsible for putting prodigyx1 in this mess, because I advertised car here, sold car to him, introduced the person who registerd it(pattybf), introduced the person who installed a tracker(fogman), introduced the lady who insured it(axamansard), and finally I introduced kayode to manage vehicle for him.

Before all this spiralled out into cyberspace I called kayode and told him to clean up this mess ASAP, I cannot describe the kind of pressure kayode goes through every day managing a mix of humans and machines, especially when peugeots are involved (blood sucking machines my opinion) sadly he could have managed this better.

On several occasion I have adviced kayode to stay behind the scenes and allow romeo do the talking.

Kayode is not a scammer, he is very pasionate about what he does, He needs to work on his client management skills.

prodigyx1 I am really sorry about all this, I have spoken with the insurance lady, and she in turn spoke with the owner of the other car, and they have reached an agreement which should commence Monday morning. I want to belive he will go to stalion motors to get an invoice for repair (Thank God for insurance), your vehicle will also be realeased too so you can get a repair invoice.

Problems like this can be solved easily if some of us can see the bigger picture.

The statement I am not begging for cars is very uncalled for and arrogant.

You are destroying customer confidence for not just your self, but for other upcoming honest fleet managers.

With all the noise we make on this thread, we do not account for up to 0.2per of the number of vehicles on the E-hailing platforms.

I hope issues like this will be settled promptly outside of NL, as accidents are bound to happen.

Finally I am glad you took my advice and insured with one of the best. Axamansard

iyaegin:
Are you saying that it is the Partner who will add my account for me..abi is it the partner that will be getting paid while me am doing the driving?? Please clarify
Yeah. Uber pay directly into the account of the partner {car owner} who is then expected to deduct his own rental and forward the balance to you. This has been the practice and it's because of the stereotype that drivers will always come up with excuses if the money is left in their possession

Hi everyone, I am a 3 weeks old Uber driver and I was driving a 2008 Honda Accord that I had to drop, not because it consumes fuel but also because it was in a bad shape {vibration and suspension noise}.
I'm currently without a car and I need one to get back on the road.
If anyone has a car, please contact me.
I live in Surulere...
Thanks.

Good morning Road warriors, I just noticed something unusual on my app... I haven't gotten any request for like an hour and that's very unusual too, gave me a little concern, then zoomed in to see where I was on my app, only to see that I am at JOEL OGUNAIKE, when I am in oshodi in front of my house to be precise, one of the surest places to get request fast...Pls, what can I do to rectify this issue..

Good morning everyone. Please a friend of mine is offering me a Honda 2008 @ N35000 pee week but I had to ask him to let me get back to him later. This is because I've read many people saying the car is not good for the business. Now, I'd like to know if the car is still manageable at least, for the time being or it's just a complete "no go" area. Thanks

Okay. Thanks bro. I noticed you did not mention Surulere and that's where I stay. I also tried to check their coverage online but I didn't see Surulere either.
EgbekunJoseph:
For the little i know, it is active in almost all areas in Lagos as i can comfortably say of Ikeja, Ikorodu, Ojota, yaba, maryland, Alagbado, Ikotun, Jakande-Ejigbo, Ikotun, Lekki and its environ and more if not all but i dont want to exaggerate. Currently, I am on a monthly subscription of 5,000 Naira which gives me 24Gig a month that i sometimes rollover if i don't get to exhaust my data before the expiration date as i share my data with my PC also.

Hmmm. This is a very bright idea bro. If the 4g LTE really works fine, I think it would be the best option for me. But what about the coverage?
Hope it's everywhere at least in Lagos. I've never really used it before. Besides, what's the subscription like. Thanks
EgbekunJoseph:
well, i could have said you should try other modems like swift or spectranet but i don't know how buoyant you're right now. Another way through it is to make a sim upgrade if your phone is 4G LTE compatible. Because in the last 3months after i made an upgrade, i have been enjoying the benefits of 4G LTE on glo. Moreso, it is economical. But if your phone is not 4G LTE compatible, i will strongly advice that you purchase one of those modems.

Glo is the worse network to use.

Use 9mobile or Swift /Spectranet

excelsiorfarm: Thank God,about your question on the tutorial classes, since he already own a property that is good, you know 70k now isnt what it was,but he can start with it and use the students money to upgrade the standard of the place. Then how will he go about spending the money? My suggestion is for him/her to produce handbills like 2000 which shouldnt cost more than 15k,Produce 3 banners of 3k each ,already the money spent is 24k and there is 46k left,he should ask a carpenter to produce say 20 chairs for maybe 30k or even buy plastic chairs,he should buy a board and chalks/markers for 7k and i guess he has about 9k left, out of it he should do a form for prospective students and photocopy enmass for 2k(he should sell each of the forms for N300-N1000 to incoming students),the remaining 7k he will be able to know what is essential.2 banners should be placed around schools and the handbills should be distributed tostudents and parents wisely(dont force it on someone that says he or she wont use it). This is the early stage,it is a praying and hard or smart working time, with good works, results and commitment he/she will go places.
Thank you so much. That's a very detailed information. I'll contact you later if I have further questions.
CareerRe: How To Become A Pilot? by Morhakon47(m): 8:21pm On Jan 09, 2013
Digiman: The Standard Pilot course (SP) (PPL, CPL, IR, ME), does not not include ATPL, you can do your ATPL after a few years if you do not have the money to do it straight after you obtain your CPL.
The CPL is enough to get you into the flight deck as a first officer/co-pilot.

I listed the courses individually because it appears the Aviation college allows the courses do be done individually, this may be to your advantage especially if you do not have the funds to go for the packaged ab-initio courses. My advice will be do to the PPL, IR, ME and hopefuly before your CPL you will find and airline to sponsor you, if you are still struggling to find sponsorship i'd suggest try getting a job part time maybe working at the college or an airfield and save up for your CPL and also do an Instructors course, once qualified as a Flight instructor you may be able to get a job with the college or elsewhere this will not only enable you to start earning money it will also enable you to build up your flying hours which will come in handy when to apply for a job as an airline pilot.
Please, I just found this trend and I'm so glad I did. I have a whole lot of questions to ask but I'm gonna start from this. If one does the PPL and get the license, can he get a job in the aviation industry so as to enable him start saving for subsequent programs and develop his knowledge in the industry. Or what program can u advice that one take to at least get a job in the industry and prepare him for the career? Thanks so much.
