ndahbros1: Egypt ha never been black. .Depends on what you want to define as a black person. There are variations of black people on the African continent from the nile valley to the cape. There is no 'true negro' looking African as there is no "true white' looking person. People are a variation of hues from exteremly dark to pale white. The ancient egyptians as the case should be (seeing that they border other continents outside of Africa) exhibited a variation of these hues. Therefore they must be considered intermediaries as skull morphologies have put ancients in Anthropological terms within the variants of negroid cranial and caucasoid cranial formations. Shikena

Fulaman198: You will be surprised but some Igbos do not want to be black as well lol. Black people seriously have issues as a group.Mis-education from eurocentric science. I find it funny how these two individuals. though different in outlook would be considered both white/caucasian men. How ironic. Variances apply to African people in categorizing them but not to Europeans Hmmm?

^^^ since the dictionary definition of black entails a person with dark skin that originates or whose ancestors came from Africa, the above fellows would encompass that definition don't you think otherwise we shouldn't call these below people black either if we are to consider different hues of African skin, should we now?

martinosi: Love it..the Key was the Weather Conditions...keep up the good work cap28!^^^ Although it is true that weather conditions did play a major part in the settlement of the "dutch traders" in the cape of southern Africa, there were many other factors that contributed to beginnings and amalgamation of the country known as South Africa today. Lets be clear on the issue that the settlment of the original "White settlers" into the interior of what is known as South Africa today began with the British colonization of the cape. Prior to the colonization, the settlers remained relatively on the coastal areas of southern Africa. The former european "settlers" were fleeing Colonial rule and occupied areas to the North east of the country. Through their journey, they did encounter tribes and fought for land across the area to form what would be called the republic of the Transvaal and Orange Free state. Lets also be clear that the beginnings of the Apatheid era began relatively with the Afrikaans/White settler nationalist movement which was heavily influenced by the then Nazi doctrines of White supremacy and the weakening of the british empire and prior to that advent, the settlers and the surronding tribes, Xhosa, Zulu, Griqua,Tshwana, Sotho and Khoi were relatively non confrontational. PS Segregation of races did not occur as a mandate in the cape area until Apatheid began. |
ayanle456: ^^^well let me tell u whats not next. Me ever acknowledging that your humans. Its okay we understand you have been whitewashed to believe elongated crania and limb porportions, straight noses and wavy hair that are similar to your neighbours to the East make your features "superior" to other types in Africa. Hmm, I wonder , what about these other Africans who are not typical of West-central African types, wonder if their Asian features make them also superior. What say you Dummy?

^^^^ Then Ancient Egyptians would fall under your definition of negroid people since their closet relatives were the Ethiopians and the Somali. |
^^^^ to answer your overly debated question. first you have to define what one means by "caucasoid" and "negroid" before moving forward. How do you define the above terms and in what sense are you applying them? |
