isuomo: You guys are just bloody liars, which indiscipline? pray tell me!! Keshi has decided to freeze out the Yoruba players from the team but nobody wants to say it loud for fear of being labeled a tribalist, Aluko, Gbenga Arokoyo, Dele Adeleye, Haruna, Martins, Taiwo(because he is still playing week in week out) these players can only enrich any national team not diminish it but Keshi a full blooded Igboman has carried his hatred for the Yorubas into football and that is why some of us don't give a two hoots what happens to the Biafran national team masquerading as Eagles of Nigeria.
there is no show of ethnic marginalisation in futballing! onli the best crops of players gets the tag!...owk

Sincere 9gerian: The PDP faction, backed by Abuja PDP, is still conducting primary election at the moment. It is live on NTA and chaired by the Katsina State Governor. The Andy Ubah primary was organised by another faction of the PDP at another venue. Only Andy Ubah attended his own primary while ALL the other aspirants are currently at the ongoing primary, chaired by Katsina state governor
they were four contestants! Andy actually pulled the majority votes!!!

playmode:

I disagree with your stance because it will allow vagabonds and recyclable tyrants to remain in power. The more parties Nigeria has the better because that will give the younger generation and fresh faces the opportunity to serve.I and a group of other Nigerians are planning on stating a new party based on the principles of meritocracy. We have no confidence in the existing parties hence we are taking this route. We want to start from the grassroots level and work our way up to the presidency through experience , out of box thinking ,efficient problem solving and competent leadership.

Politics / Re: Who Are Your 5 Most Respected Nigerians ? by Mospring(m): 3:45pm On Jul 22, 2013
denex: 1) Uthman Ibn Fodee (Usman Dan Fodio): for his ability to conquer and unite all the Hausa states of Nigeria into one Caliphate. For his great books on philosophy, warfare and economics (if not for his books, Oyibo for still dey claim say na dem teach us how to read and write). For his democratic and republic Sultanate system of government and for his wisdom in retiring and handing over power in due time.

2) Pat Utomi: for studying the uniqueness of Nigeria and solving problems according to the Unique culture, people and terrain.

3) Mallam Aminu Kano: for his sincere effort and personal sacrifice at alleviating the problems of the masses.

4) Nnamdi Azikiwe: totally without any tribal bias. He focused on the big picture.

5) Jaja of Opobo & Nana of Itsekiri: for having great insight in quickly shifting the Economy from Slave Trade to Oil Palm trade without friction.
I respect Governor Nana of Itsekiri for handling the Niger-Delta problem which is seeming impossible today.
Especially though, I respect King Jaja of Opobo for giving up his life just to return to the motherland even though he was certain that the British would kill him en route from exile.
King Jaja of Opobo was the only leader in the world not to sign his people into colonialism on the basis of the inability of the British to adequately define the words "Protectorate" and "Protection" as contained in the document.
u re on point bawse!!!!
Politics / Re: Marriageable Age Of Places Around The World by Mospring(m): 3:33pm On Jul 22, 2013
ShyM-X:

1. Sir, that isn't my point - my point is that: people should be allowed freedom to their way-of-life. The Northerner Senators voted overwhelmingly for it and no Northerner has come out to speak out against it, so why're Southerners crying-me-a-river over what has absolutely nothing to do with them? At the end of the day, they aren't forcing anyone to practise, it's just there to enable those who believe in it do what they think is right for them.

2. Right or wrong is subjective and also based on outlook. Beating a child and child labour are wrong to most people. However, it's normal in Africa. So who am I to judge what a person thinks is right or wrong? Also, I definitely won't allow my under-aged sister and daughter to get married because it isn't part of my way-of-life and the consciousness instilled in me by my parents. But I definitely won't stop anyone else who believes in it, from doing it. How a person chooses to lead his/her life is non of my business.

3. There are also tons of adults (old bodies with young souls) who can't handle all these as well - should we also stop them from getting married?

Lastly, life is all about choices and if the people it affects directly are in support of it - why should we be ones fighting against it? When Northerners/Muslims start fighting against it - then I'll support their cause. Till then, we need to stop the distractions and focus on Nigeria, and all the unique problems in the country.
The yes ve it!
