SLIDE waxie: dude, it's easier to develop a village than a city. Much cldnt be done at mokola. If u av to pay for compensation to achieve the above, u won't even be left with a dime to construct a thingy! It's different wen u jes bulldoze a few mud houses and some elehant grass.

That shld be a clue to why the capital of Nigeria was moved to abuja where u can plan properly!
Shut d fvck-up dia n stop justifying MEDIOCRITY. Wat is d total radius or circumvance of d so-called "flyover"? How many buildin wil hav bin affected if dere was nid 4demolition within dat circumvance? Wat type of buildin are standing there? Are they shanties, n shacks which are d prototype of Ibadan city? or are they skyscrapers?
PoliticsRe: Mokola Flyover Opens For Use On Tuesday, 25th June. by MostIncredibleDFirst: 10:55am On Jun 21, 2013
THIS IS RIDICULOUS! D fly-over is of very poor quality n sub-standard. Itz a political-flyover. D Governor is playing politics wit people like ekoile in d name of buildin infrastructure!

The 1st five-star hotel is LeMERIDIEN IBOM HOTEL & GOLF RESORT in Uyo. The 2nd five-star hotel is HILTON IBOM TROPICANA GARDEN HOTEL in Uyo.
InvestmentAkwa Ibom Hand-over Its 2nd Five-star Hotel To Hilton Group by MostIncredibleDFirst(op): 11:08pm On May 28, 2013
Akwa Ibom Government and
Hilton Worldwide Group have
signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) for the
management of Uyo Hilton
Garden.
Akwa Ibom Governor, Chief
Godswill Akpabio Monday in Uyo
signed for the State Government
while Mr. Michael Cooper, Vice
President, Development, Hilton
Worldwide Group, Sub-Saharan
Africa signed for the group.
Speaking, Mr. Cooper said he was
delighted to sign the
management agreement of the
hotel with the state government
which would be a model in
Africa.
Cooper, accompanied by Louis
Misford in-charge of
Development and Technical
Drawings, Mark Martin Volick in-
charge of Specification and Arc.
Paul Ladiga, Lead Architect of the
group, hinted that Hilton Group
has 3,999 hotels worldwide with
Uyo Hilton Gardens making up
4,000, assuring to keep to the
terms of agreement.
Chief Akpabio said he was happy
to personally undertake the
signing of the agreement, which
according to him, was a symbolic
opportunity opened for Hilton
Group in the Gulf of Guinea.
Akpabio observed that Hilton
Group is a brand well known to
all worldwide and has not
suffered any business loss
before, saying ”This is happening
in Uyo and in our time. It marks a
major step forward in our effort
to bring about uncommon
transformation in our dear state
and also bring about
transformation in Nigeria. We
believe that this hotel would
boost tourism in the Gulf of
Guinea and would add to the
transformation potentials
highlighted by Mr. President”.
He assured the Vice President
that the hotel might be one of
the most profitable hotels
because Uyo is a small, virgin
capital that has become a
conference destination for
organisations in Nigeria since,
according to him, last year, more
than 450,000 people visited Uyo
through Akwa Ibom
International Airport, stating
”With the completion of Theme
and Dry Park, Shopping Mall,
International Conference Centre
and Cineplex in the hotel, the
partnership would be mutually
beneficial to both parties.
Government is ready to put in
more resources to ensure the
hotel attains an international
standard which you are known
for”.
The Governor hinted that Federal
Government has approved
extension of railway to Uyo while
recently, the Secretary to the
State Government and Special
Adviser on Technical Matters
went on road show overseas to
to source for prospective
investors for the building of
Ibaka Deep Seaport which the
Presidency had approved as a Free Trade Zone. www.thenigerianvoice.com/nvnews/114909/1/akwa-ibom-hilton-sign-mou-for-uyo-hilton-garden.html

You posted roads and praised this man with the highest state budget in Nigeria with only 2 million people @ N457 billion for this year and a total of N1.4 trillion in the last for years, but you can not show us anything beyond the roads in one single town that I can count on my fingers.

afam4eva: I actually thought so too. I also same the same thing about the sokoto pictures that were posted. Some cities have very good roads but not good buildings to complement it. I imagine how these roads will look like in Onitsha and Aba.
Are u guyz refering to those FEDERAL HIGHWAYS shown in d OP pictures which are in d outskirts of uyo-city or wat? U little boys shd continue idioting around, while shrewd men like us have already set-up n positioned d branches of our businesses in dat city pendin d count-down 2d fall of Lagos!

Shebi you people were quick to show us roads as if roads is the only form of infrastructures, you should be able to show what actually impacts the day to day activities of the people of Akwa like hospitals, schools, parks, water works, low cos housing, training centers and so on...

What is mega gan sef? Tropicana hotel that the average man in Akwa wont even be able to sit and eat suya and cocacola in? The same hotel that's been under construction forever and a source to steal and plunder? Or is it the phony and non functional e library?

Do you even know the meaning of MEGA or you just use it because it sounds good to you? smh...
