Because the person said the problem mostly arises when manual 307 is transformed into Auto tans. (Which is the most common Auto 307 you will see) but if you are lucky to have the original Auto trans that came as it is then you will face less problem. Talking about Neatly used.

Pls what do you think which of the two between civic 2008 -10 and 307 a person should go for.

i will say go for the 307.Ensure you go with a competent technician if you eventually want to buy it.I can recommend one for you if you dont mind.

Not true, all you need is a technician that knows his onion.The 307 is actually a wonderful car, great on mpg.I will recommend it for anyone.

Pugeot 307, i would have advised you to go for a vw jetta if your budget was up to 1.5m

Good afternoon Nairalanders, please i have a question to ask here.

My Wife drives a 2006 XLE Toyota camry V6, some 2 months ago the car started overheating and due to the lack of trust i have for my mechanic i had to try another mechanic for sake of second opinion. Well they wasted a bunch of my time without result so i had to go back to my mechanic, and he told me there is something he would do and the car will stop overheating. Well he accessed something around the compartment of the engine close to the inlet hose of the radiator and from no where the car stopped over heating. I have been asking him what he did and he kept on saying he is not going to tell me.

Well from no where the car started vibrating when you accelerate and this same mechanic told me that its the shaft (The side to the Gear box ) and also when you decelerate and try to accelerate again the car gives some squeaky sound like the engine is cranking and oga said the top gasket is flat.

Out of curiosity i took the car for a diagnosis the car never detected a flat top gasket or dead shaft but instead it showed that the thermostat is malfunctioning, which i suspect oga mechanic had by passed without telling me.

My question now is that if a car has a flat top gasket or any other related mechanical issue like bad shaft can it be detected by diagnostic kit?

Sorry for my long epistle please help me so that this man does not knock my engine.

There is a diagnosis tool that can detect flat gasket.

My IS350 seems to have battery issues when starting. Not sure. 2nd time this week I am having to jumpstart it. I have this thing on the dash ( see the red item, looks like a battery). How can I resolve this?

Please I just changed my whole silencer but the Small Leak code still came up on the dashboard.

My Panel Beater insists it's no more leaking but I have seeing the Check engine light.

Any recommendation or advice pls

Try get a proof, and tell your friend. With the bond you both share I think your friend will listen to understand rather than listen to reply.

So I have been driving this car for 1 year now. Engine light was on when I bought it tokunbo February last year but I felt it was something I can easily fix since I know what the problem is.

Now fast forward to 1 year later, the check engine light is still on and over the last 12 months, I have done everything humanly possible to remove the course of this issue which is the warning displaced on my vehicle message screen... CHECK EMISSION SYSTEM!
When I remove the battery heads, the check emission system warning disappears and the check engine light goes off but as soon as I turn off the engine and start the vehicle again. Both of them come back starting with the check emission system!

At first when I started trying, i was changing little things like filter, then I connected the pipes properly and all but no luck then I decided to change the entire filter box. Also asked a mechanic to clean somethings and many other things I tried!

Over the 1 year period, the car drives great. No stall, drips water when I start it in the morning and sounds wonderful but seeing that check engine light and the check emission system message every morning gives me sadness. I ran a scan a few times and it always come up with nothing. Recently I had to drive 2 hours to a technician I was told has a very expensive scanner that can detect almost any fault. He did a scan for me and said I should change my o2 sensors. I was happy, thinking the end has finally come to this problem so I bought all 3 o2 sensors attached to the front, back and exhaust!
We changed them, but lo and behold.... Check engine! Check emission system! I give up!

I even tested my catalytic converter to be sure it's okay and it's all fine! I bought this car with a very low mile age of 49k and I'm shocked that this issue will persist for this long.

You know what! I'm putting a bounty on its head. If you can fix this CHECK EMISSION SYSTEM in this car, I'll give you 50k extra. Apart from the price of the things you'll buy oo.

Hmm how can you use cheap auto gear oil and expect your gear to function properly.

MY Peugeot 406 V6 recommended auto gear oil cost N6700 per litre and it can take up to 8 litres when drained completely. I have never had issue with my auto gear and it shift swiftly like brand new. I normally buy direct from PAN office in Kaduna.

hi guys please am having issues with my A.C. the light just suddenly started blinking. if i put it on when the car is idle, it can stall to engine to stopping at times. when looking under the hood, i found out the compressor is seizing. hence as its trying to stall the system, the system disengages it. two mechanics say its a manual compressor. one said its a manual compressor with sensor that my car has (toyota camry 2009 xle v6). i find that hard to believe unless the compressor has been changed before.

my OBD doesnt bring up any issues when i scan. both mechanics say the compressor is gone tho. that i have to change it, possibly the condenser, check for leaks, flush etc. i had changed the relay at first thinking that eas the issue but it didnt work. my question now is how do i know if the compressor in my car is manual or automatic
