WHAT HAPPENED TO 'SEEK FIRST'...?

Religion / Where Went The Love. by motiv8ted: 9:04am On Nov 20, 2019
Friend the burden I carry is of nothing but a wrong relationship
I went in, for all the wrong reasons and now a prey to my own choices
I thought it was all based-on emotions only on getting in, did I realize that only emotions can’t stand the trying moments
I thought it was based on beauty but even that fades away
Again I thought it was all a bed of roses only on laying down did I realize that beneath the roses lie thorns of hurt and pain. Thorns that choked and pricked my love to death.
Worst of it all I went into it without a purpose and now I am intimidated by the success of the very woman who was meant to be my support. She is not to blame cause when she came she found nothing to help and went in search of her dreams. God wasn’t mistaken when he # tagged her THE HELPER.
I carry the identity of the man yet lost in ignorance and confusion
The very woman I subdue in strength is the head in disguise
Where went the love is my lamentation
Hate and irritation comes at the sight of the very woman I was proposed undying love to
Love now nothing but a stranger to the once known lovebirds.
arrogance now a meal served at every event of wrong
The fact you are interested does not make you prepared
They call it relationship but if you are not prepared to relate then don’t join the ship or you all going to sink
Being called a man is a tile and if you want to be called by that you have to earn
That title comes with responsibility
And responsibility all but a day dream without purpose.
Where went the love again is my lamentation
I am caught between the coals and flames of a wrong relationship
But the last time I checked marriage was a lifelong commitment
So I share my pain for your gain You better listen.
Before you share in my episode of lamentation
Where went the love.
Religion / "WE THE PEOPLE" (the True Democracy Of A Nation) by motiv8ted: 11:32pm On Sep 30, 2019
WE THE PEOPLE
(the true independence of a nation)
What a profound phrase, short but full of depth and insight. The preamble of the united states constitution, beginning with the words “we the people”, is a brief introductory statement of the constitution’s fundamental purposes and guiding principles. But, beyond being just the beginning of the American constitution. Let us look further to discover the message therein.
It is quite unfortunate and heartbreaking that we have all put on the “selfie syndrome” where all we think and work for is; Me, myself and I. every task is performed with the mindset, what’s in it for me. We are ignorant of the Fact that, that “selfie” world we live in is vulnerable, fearful and lonely.
These are trying times for us all, but the question is, what can we do to face the future without fear? What do we believe in as a nation?
The great rabbi lord Jonathan Sacks once said “the simplest way of safeguarding the future ‘you,’ is to strengthen the future ‘us’. The ‘us’ of RELATIONSHIP, the ‘us’ of IDENTITY and the ‘us’ of RESPONSIBILITY”. We need to understand the truth that, we are differently the same, that, we are Nigerians and the truth that, it all begins with me as a person. If you start from the north, I start from the south, another from the west and some from the east, and together we move towards a better Nigeria, we will definitely meet at a point.
Nigerians living in Nigeria, want to act like Britain’s, want to speak like Americans, want feed on Chinese cuisines and so on. But the irony of it all is that; while we are busy working at adopting foreign....

Religion / Is It Independence Or In Dependence by motiv8ted: 2:23pm On Sep 30, 2019
Independence day! What comes to your mind at the mention of this word? For me I can think of nothing but freedom. Freedom to choose, freedom of expression, freedom to personal dignity, to mention but a few. October first is no doubt a great day for our beloved country Nigeria, as we celebrate our independence. Hence, a day to mark our freedom it is. But The question is this, are we really independent or in dependence both individually as people or collectively as a nation?
Why do we celebrate what is not present and merry for what has been trampled upon? I put to us many questions because, if there is to be a solution it must begin with us answering these questions individually and then collectively as a nation. The only independence I see is exercised by the rich, influential and powerful in the society. For me, they celebrate their independence from lawful authority and responsibility while the destiny of the common man lies in dependence of their will and choices. Freedom from the slave masters, did we gain long time ago, yet it is unfortunate that October first for the country Nigeria was just a transition into slavery and captivity in the hands of our very own people in our very own land.
As a country how much freedom can we boast of to have from the external world, when we rely on other nations for virtually every need. A country blessed with not just natural and mineral resources but a mass number of workforce and human resources which can enhance its interdependence and foster its development lies at the mercy of foreign aids. The giant of Africa we proclaim, yet a sick giant is all that is visible.
Selectively, it is also painful and heartbreaking that we have to depend on the ruling class,

Religion / WHO ARE YOU? (the Existential Question) by motiv8ted: 11:19pm On Aug 09, 2019
You and I have a perspective of ourselves, others and issues. These perspectives vary from person to person. Nevertheless, these perspectives don’t just form overnight but are informed by what we take in and digest into our minds, either consciously or subconsciously.
Perhaps, you have had the opportunity to be involved in an argument I would say. If you would agree with me. People seem to have varying opinions and a different look at issues. This is “normal” for the fact that we do not have the same upbringing and exposure. Hence the question, who are you? I ask this because the person you take yourself to be, is relative to where you view yourself from. Do you define yourself from the veiws of others, your circumstances, your successes or failures, your limitations or strength or by what you do and cannot do?
No matter the definition you have of yourself, or no matter the view you have over your life, make sure it is a healthy one. This should be so because whatever yardstick you use in measuring who you are has a pivotal role to play in your destiny. It has the ability to attract and repel, appreciate or depreciate as well as build or destroy you.
You might want to ask, if not from my failures, successes, limitations, strengths, weaknesses or view of others, then where can I obtain this healthy self-image? I bring you good news, the word of God (good news) has it all figured out for you. It is the manual the caries your maximum capabilities and potentials. When you look in there you see what the manufacturer (God) has put at your disposal for exploit. He defines you the best way you can ever be. He lays out how much you have to offer and contribute to your growth, that of others and your society as a whole.
Hence, this is the ultimate source and proper definition of who you are and what you are capable of. Take hold of God, believe His word, exploit it for your development, profess it for your growth. You deserve a beautiful life both here and in the word to come. Remember, no one has the right to name a creature if not the creator likewise a product can only be named by the producer. You are who God says you are.

Religion / TODAY (the Future Of Tomorrow) by motiv8ted: 10:40pm On Aug 09, 2019
Tomorrow is what we all work for because, we all hope for tomorrow to be better. Ironically we never get to meet tomorrow in person. Every tomorrow eventually becomes today when it arrives. Hence I call today “the future of tomorrow”.
The day called today is very vital in our lives. This is so, given to the fact that we all often look forward to the future with great anticipation, so much so we usually forget the foundation of that future, which is today. In the day called today; we are able to take hold of our moments and sow into tomorrow. Lest we forget, every tomorrow will eventually become today and every today would become a yesterday. Unfortunately, or fortunately as the case may be, yesterday is not ours any longer because all of it resides in the past. Today is all we have and all that is visible. For even tomorrow is not a guaranty to any man or being.
Success, regrets, fame, empires to mention but a few, are accumulation of efforts from yesterday and today and not tomorrow. Every good thing we see today is a buildup of processes no matter how small. Everyday gives us an opportunity to sow into and chart the course of our lives. This is to say whatever we make of our lives is our foremost responsibility.
I do believe in God and his dealings as much as I believe in his influence over lives. Yet I believe he draws out the plan, releases the materials and leaves the building to us. He can be a part of that building as well, if we allow him to. You might believe in fate but I do believe in faith, you might as well believe in luck but I do believe in blessings and grace. My tomorrow lies in his hands (God) yet I am a key share holder and master builder of that tomorrow. It all depends on how well I maximize or minimize the opportunities and potentials that come with today, whichever the case.
Now, here is what I stand for. I do know I have a tomorrow to look onto but, I am more conscious of the fact that I do have a today to act upon. And so, I would rather live in the reality of today than live in the fantasies of tomorrow. All for the fact that, this today I have is the future of my tomorrow.
Religion / Truth Be Told by motiv8ted: 10:28pm On Jul 06, 2019
Frustration is evident everywhere. This is for no reason but for the fact that most people feel they are below standard. This would have been better if the point of reference was worth it, but unfortunately it is not. Let me be more elaborate.
Walking through the corridors of society today, most especially amongst we the youths, you would come across unhappy faces and souls who wonder in alter frustration, feeling left behind with thoughts of living below the bench mark of what they have decided to major their progress and take their worth from. What is this benchmark I am referring to? The Social media!
The social media has become the life rule for most of us where we major our worth by the number of likes, followers and friend lists. While in actual sense some of us are friendless. We forget the fact that most of these people show to us only what they want visible. Beyond the snapshots and photo filters lie their true identities and personalities. We on the other hand grow weary with thoughts of being left behind.
These social platforms are filled with people who put on Victoria secret with no secrets at all; we have their daily meals on their status, their every moment on their stories while all their feelings can be read in captions. People who rock the Hugo Boss brand with no control over their lives. Most of us don’t even understand who we truly are because, our next hairdo, dressing or entire look can only be determined by the choices of our favorite celebrity. We are controlled and ruled by the choices of others with no ownership of our lives.
However, the live in question is yours. Hence, you owe it to yourself to either make a change or continue in the band wagon of confusion and frustration. Rather than live the photocopy of another person’s life you can choose to be the author of yours. All you need do is appreciate the little you have at the moment and accept life as a process. Even the bible admonishes us not to despise the days of little beginning. Be the fanatic of your success, the spectator of your moments and creator of your joy.
Thank you.
Religion / Fantasis by motiv8ted: 10:13pm On Jul 06, 2019
Sometimes I just feel it should be all perfect.
Enough money for me not to borrow,
Be around all happy faces,
Visit everywhere I so desire,
Be at peace with every one,
Oh I wish everyone I miss was present,
My occupation all success,
I wish I had that relationship where all was a bed of roses,
That I could accomplish all I wanted in a day and live the rest of life in rest.
I wish this joyful moment would never pass a way,
That sorrow and hardship was only a fairy tell,
I wish that everyone would behave the way I expected,
I wish this struggle will all just end in a moment or that I had the ability to end this present suffering.
I wish, I wish, I wish…
But for how long will I continue wishing or existing in fantasies?
I came to realize that life owes us nothing but we owe it all to ourselves.
We determine what we want and go for it
Life is all but a void land filled with empty spaces waiting to be cultivated
You plant what you desire even against all odds.
This sounds like a relief but most painfully planting does not always guaranty a sure harvest.
We plant peacefully only to look around and that peace is nowhere to be found
Weeds of hate, misfortune, disappointment, betrayal, and many other vices begin to spring forth.
Now comes the time for the true reapers I would call them.
These are the ones who are willing to do the weeding, pruning and nurturing.
The ones who rather than wallow in sorrow and self-pity, create their own joy
The ones who don’t only look for happy faces but choose to be that happy face
The ones who accept the fact we can’t all get it at once and accept the process
That process of growth and maturity.
These are the ones who plant in faith, depending on the creator for sufficient rain and due season of harvest.
We live in a life where we create our own reality
A life where our dreams are not just what we see in our sleep but that which keeps us awake to act.
In this life we feature ourselves in the picture of our future.
A wake up call is all I wish to offer.
Rather than speak forth your wishes rise up and show forth your accomplishments.
Faith is all that fuels us on this journey into reality
Action the only bridge that links our wishes and achievements
But regardless CHRIST our sufficiency.
THANK YOU.

Religion / The Radius by motiv8ted: 9:11pm On May 08, 2019
Although I see life to be a circle, its size is determined by the Radius it has just like every other Circle. What a paradox for what seems straight to determine the size of a spherical body. Yet it is impossible for you to obtain a big circle with a small radius. The radius starts from the center of the circle to any point on the circumference of the circle. And in turn from any point on the circumference to the center would still result in a circle.
This we can apply to our lives. For me I would say, the longer the arm you extend to life the broader your circle of life would be. So I would say, rather than strive for a big space circle, why not take a walk down a long path, be straight, precise, and just. Making God our center and life our circumference. Starting from God and reaching out to life and in turn every act of life, be it the good, bad, or ugly leading us back to God. And in the end draw the biggest circle you can possibly imagine.
It doesn’t matter the direction so long as you start from God with a heart aimed at making life a better and perfect circle you would always arrive at your circumference which in this case is life. Make your path straight and draw a big circle of fulfilment in the end where life (our circumference) would be surrounded with nothing but success and peace. There is much space in the circle for everyone to be a radius and in pairs to be diameters. Start with God today and reach out to life. PEACE.

Religion / Fear!(a Good Recipe for Failure) by motiv8ted: 10:32pm On May 06, 2019
We miss a hundred percent of the shots we never take. This is a true fact of life. Fear! a very key factor that has hindered the dreams of many and still doing so today, is a big obstacle we all need to overcome at one instance or the other in our lives. This (i.e fear) is caused by uncertainties, ignorance and lack of trust in the unknown. We all do really want to know, most of the times, if not all the times, what lies ahead or the consequence of our actions. Unfortunately, this can’t be possible without first taking a decision. We all must understand that life in itself is a risk because, we all do wake up to a day we have never met, yet we already do have plans. A day which comes with new challenges, opportunities, demands and to mention a few. Hence if we wake to such daily, “the unknown”. We should also be willing to dare the unknown daily, since the day itself is unknown and can only be planned for without full certainty of what lies ahead. What then is fear? F-E-A-R! False evidence appearing real. That is what I will call it in short. I chose to because, although it (i.e fear) tends to present you with that evidence of limitations, hurt and loss. This can be done away with in the midst of a strong will, informed mind, believe and determination. Fear is a good recipe for failure so, if you wish to keep up with those good meals of failure, always spice it up with fear else, look beyond your limitations, uncertainties, past experiences and dare the unknown. Always have it in mind that, in the mist of the unknown always lie what you have never known.

Religion / KNOWLEDGE (the New Currency) by motiv8ted: 9:36pm On May 05, 2019
Looking at Man and his day to day life, you would see that He carries out a lot of transactions which are made possible only by the provision of a “legal tender”. Which serves as the basis for the exchange of either, services or commodities. But it seems that even with this, (money) many seem not to find genuine fulfillment and true relevance. (I use the words genuine and true because, many are relevant only because of what they have and not what they are). Material wealth can never be part of you, it can only be attached on the outside. But true wealth comes from knowledge which is part of you and can never be taken away. This quest for relevance has pushed many into a search for more and excess; money, power, positions of authority and titles. In the bid to feel recognized and accepted. This has only kept them in circles. Although they seem to be in motion, they just revolve around the same point. This is so, if you would permit me to share because, a more powerful “legal tender” has gained control over the market of man’s affair. Which is known as ‘knowledge’.
Knowledge is simply awareness. This has become “the new currency”. where the more you know the more you are appreciated, needed, and the broader the horizon of your influence. This is so, due to the everyday challenges and difficulties faced by man in his interaction with his fellow man and nature as a whole. Families, Organizations, Businesses, institutions, various sectors, nations and the world at large are looking for problem solvers, functioning minds, innovators and not just spenders. Who are only but liabilities eager to spend accumulated wealth.
In order to say something, you must know something. It is often said that you cannot give what you don’t have. If you don’t have the required solution and knowledge about a problem how can you solve it? Talking of knowledge, I am not just limiting it to academic knowledge alone, but awareness of self, circumstances, our roots, destination, heritage, strengths, weaknesses, differences, similarities, goals, worth and purpose to mention but a few.
The knowledge of the listed above gives us more purchasing power, helps us channel our energy and resources towards becoming better. It enhances the opportunities for building ourselves and others. It gives us the ability in accommodating one another and appreciating our paradigms and views. Singling out knowledge of self as a case study I would say;
Self-awareness is very vital in order to lead a successful and meaningful life. This helps you appreciate who you are, because of the efforts you invested into who you were. It as well, enables you to build yourself into the you, you want to become and is meant to be. A proper knowledge of yourself helps you gain focus as to what input you have to make in your life and what excesses you ought to cut out or away from. Many struggle to be like others and look unto others so much so they tend to forget themselves. I am not against the concept of mentorship but in as much as you want to become ‘LIKE’ someone else, you can never be absolutely. (that person). You are peculiar in your own calling and unique in your abilities.
Conclusively, Knowledge is key. Go for Knowledge and develop yourself in all ramifications. With a clear intention of who or what you want to become. Make it clear what you stand for and believe in. A proper knowledge of your past directs your actions in the present and positions you for the future which is unstoppable in the presence of life. “Knowledge is the new Currency”, get more knowledge, earn more purchasing power. Thank you.

Religion / Freedom In Restrictions by motiv8ted: 2:23pm On May 04, 2019
Freedom as we have it, is a global phenomenon and at that, a great commodity sorted after by humanity. It is the liberty to express oneself in diverse ways on different occasions. It is a platform for the expression of ones will, opinion and choice.
As pleasant as this may sound, freedom without restrictions is poisonous. In as much as it is a free domain, we should not be in a hurry to forget that a domain has its boundaries. There is always something relative to our freedom. which is in fact what defines our freedom. This is so when we are not just willing but able to act beyond the control and dictates of such a thing.
On our journey through life, we have to limit ourselves in some areas, in order to reach certain limits in life. When we have certain aptitudes it takes time and discipline to release such potentials. This in essence implies that we do have to place restrictions on certain areas of our lives so we can gain the freedom to develop other areas in their order of priority, beginning with the most paramount. This means, restrictions actually set us free.
In the reasons for God, Timothy Keller captures this point beautifully. “Discipline and restraints, then, liberate us only when they fit with the reality of our nature and capacities. A fish because it absorbs oxygen from water rather than air, is only free if it is restricted and limited to water. If we put it in the grass its freedom to move and live is not enhanced, but destroyed. The fish dies if we do not honour the reality of its nature”.
This is applicable to us as humans. We have to place certain restrictions on the kind of lifestyle we adopt, the friends we keep, the places we visit, the things we say and in general the kind of actions we take. This is necessary in order that, we may gain the freedom to live a productive and effective life. According to Sean McDowell and Stan Jantz in the mind blowing ‘GodQuest’, “submitting to reality is the first step in finding freedom. That is why truth is so important”.
So therefore, in order to lead a meaningful and peaceful life we have to confine our freedom within the walls of truth. Because according to Sean McDowell and Stan Jantz.
-we are free to believe what we want, but we are not free to change reality.
-the truly free person understands truth and has the capacity to live it out.
This therefore implies that, knowing the truth helps us place restrictions on falsehood. And in turn gain the freedom required to live out the truth.
Thank you.

Religion / The Idol Of Guilt by motiv8ted: 11:14pm On May 03, 2019
“I am worthless, I am useless, good for nothing is all I can say about me
Don’t ask me why. But if you care I would say it anyways
I am a first grade sinner, a thief, an addict, nothing close to Gods definition of holiness
I am tired of trying. this is my fate and perhaps my portion of life.I long for purity, but purity to me is only a mirage
God doesn’t want someone like me around”.
This are the thoughts of many and perhaps to some a philosophy
Now sit back and listen!
The gospel is bad news before it is good news. It is the news that man is a sinner but it is also the news that he is loved anyway. Cherished, forgiven, and also bled for even though he struggles.
You may be lost, but that only speaks of your destination away from Christ not your value and Identity
You may put a bird into a cage but that doesn’t stop it from being a bird but has only limited its ability to fly. you haven’t lost your value!
you still have value in God’s eyes. The only problem is; you are wandering away in that far away land called sin. Much of a distance away from home. You still have that worth of a golden ring the difference is you are stuck with that mud of sin and guilt
I tell you what? There is a good news. which says that there is an awesome postscript that comes on the heels of the bad news. It is the good news of Calvary
Calvary is not a place for the perfect but for perfection
Not a place for the holy but those who long for holiness
There is a gift that awaits you there.
The gift of righteousness
Come take its all yours without struggle
David said purge with hyssop but I tell you what
Calvary gave a better version of hyssop
The blood of Jesus ever ready to cleans.
Take a step to victory and regain your value. You don’t need to see to the end of the stair case before you take a step. Listen the lord says;
I would see you from afar because my grace is extended through eternity
We are on a Christian race but no doubt we are fueled by grace not by guilt
Come out from that cage of guilt and regain your ability to fly
In the words of Travis Greene, he says, you made a way…

Religion / The Displaced God by motiv8ted: 9:52am On May 03, 2019
[img][/img] The displaced God? You must be wondering, what an irony it is for a God so mighty and surpassing to be reported as displaced. Yes, he is literary, in the Christianity of today where priorities are misplaced, false doctrines are taught, wrong motives are strongly held unto, and painfully, God has been de-throne from the hearts of men.
Material wealth, spouses, ambitions, self-willed opinions and philosophies, to mention but a few. Have taken the place of God in the hearts of men. “what would people say?” is now put above “the will of God”. What a sad truth it is, but the fact still remains that the main essence of man’s creation has been misunderstood. Which is, fellowship with a pure and true worship of God in the fullness of his glory and majesty. This is a secrete behind the success and progress of Heaven. We no doubt need a strong emphasis and genuine hunger for “thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven” as we have it from the Lord’s Prayer. Man has become a slave to things meant for his service, dissipating all his energy in search of relevance and recognition when the positioning of God in his rightful place brings about all these by default.
This has brought about frustration and unproductive busyness which is as a result of a “jealous” God been displaced from his rightful position. Everything has to attach its self to its source for the purpose of its sustenance and proper nourishment. Just as the fish is bound to be in water, and the plant to the soil, so are we bound to be in God, and in turn Him in us. Then and only then can man find fulfillment, relevance, respect, influence and lots more.
However, we in no question need a remedy which lies in the conscious effort of restoring “the displaced God” to his rightful position and place of relevance in our lives. This can only be made possible by a deliberate substitution of “things” with the reverence and fear of God, and a change in paradigm where God would not only be seen as that big guy in the sky, but as a personality with complete senses and feelings that deserves respect, accolade, praise and a platform in our lives for him to offer us his best.
Conclusively, the phenomenon of “the displaced God” is evident in the churches, and so called Christianity of today where activities have been mistaken for genuine service. I pray you to consciously restore the all surpassing God to his rightful position and flourish. Peace.

AGURE, Julius Terngu.
