FxHouse: It is important to note that everything being fixed now (and more), was already addressed by radautoworks, except that the op failed to provide parts to address these issues, and even the ones he provided weren't durable and they were gotten from the person fuelling these whole drama.
In order to show that these whole charade is geared towards bringing down a HARDWORKING and REPUTABLE individual for reasons best known to everyone involved, I'd want for nairalanders to follow without bias
.
1. In over 3 years (and counting) there has never been any thread about doing anything bad to anyone, finally there is one (which was the intention from the very beginning) and all of a sudden, "raduautoworks do not know what they are doing?"
Meanwhile, the op's superarrow (of destruction), that radautoworks is being compared with, has had several complaints over the years that got swept under the rug. Even if radautoworks messed up, why all the hate from different angles and sides, some even go as far as spewing their hatred by commenting with more than one moniker, creating new ones.
2. The op only chose to focus on the negative and hammer on it like every other thing was not done right, but there were other jobs that were done perfectly, part of which includes;
(i) Engine tune-up: a combination of services (ii) Remove and replace steering rack, pinion assembly and tie rod (iii) Remove and replace control arms (both) (iv) Remove and replace rear axle (v) Remove and replace front CV axle (vi) Remove and replace oil sump (vii) Materials required
3. The op got another free repair that amounted to N119,432 due to him providing some wrong parts gotten from yours truly.
Finally, I'd also like for you to please list out the cost of repairs (even though you're doing it for free).
@radautoworks, please keep up the good work you've been known for over the years, we understand their pain. Their envy and hate should not be a cog in your wheel of success, keep spinning, you'd crush them like you always do. Keep winning ma'am, a lot of us recognize your hard-work and trust me, we dey your back. kampe, we stand for you gidigba.
#WeMove
I have been following this thread from day 1 and I'm truly disappointed with radautoworks.
What I expect you to do is to see this whole episode as a learning curve. It will help you strategize on meeting your customers expectations.
Key attributes of successful people/organization is accountability, RESPONSIBILITY, inward looking (not blaming people up and down), integrity and honesty.
No business or organization dey grow finish as no human being dey grow finish. You need to continually seek knowledge and improve your process.
Some invasive jobs on the list will render vehicle temporarily disabled until work is completed, those jobs will be shifted to last so we can get more work done with a functionally running engine in case drive tests are required .
salt1: I still think pastors should focus on their core responsibilities. I still admire him from afar despite this.
Please explain.
He is first a human being living in an environment that has continue to deteriorate. He sees the pains people pass through everyday. It affects him directly and/or indirectly.
Bros, everyone has a voice despite your religious, ethnic, social and academic background
How's the thermostat How's the water collector Is the CCM module functional How's the multilink front suspension What oil has been used on the CVT transmission What oil has been used for servicing Is the exhaust system still with the catalytic converter
I need clear answers to the questions above with evidence before I can call or risk covid19 traveling.... Thank you. Yours Serious buyer
starlionnotch: I use a Toyota Camry 07/08, I have been experiencing shortage of oil for a long time now using mobil products from mobil 1 to semi synthetic oils, so i decided i needed a change of oil to Total 20W -50. But unfortunately, i noticed when ever i start my engine in the morning, i hear a knocking and pinging sound, before the engine stabilizes.
What would you advice that i do in the circumstance, is this as a result of the oil change? Please see attached pictures of my oil cap and the total i bought.
The oil change to 20W50 is the cause of the pinging sound once you start your engine. The recommended oil for the engine is on the oil cap as you've shown us.
Try this: drain the 20W50 and put the recommended oil, you'll not notice that pinging sound on start up
MedicH: I don't understand why people cast so much trust on Nigerian people such that when the sky comes falling down, they have nothing to hold unto but a free fall into total confusion.
I don't know how ur car drove for 4 months and became a nightmare but all of these would have been avoided if you had your obd scanner.
it's not enough to say your car did this and did that when you've not even understand how the car behaves first. Talking about spark plugs which u bought for 40k, how exactly did you decide or know you were due for plugs change.
pls did you actually buy 6 iridium spark plugs for 40k Mr? I remember when my car pulled out codes for misfire on cyl 1, 4, and a code for random misfire, I gave my mech guy 2k for 6 toks iridium spark plugs which run like a jet on my Lexus even after 4 months.
pls what manner of repair bill did they tell you is 1.3m and which narrowed down to #250k and ur engine was not even replaced?
I have a couple of advice man, to save your time, money and energy, take your time to learn about that car so you can followup with the repairs like I do on my Lexus.
secondly, do a little research on the best hands in acura repairs in ur area because from the look of things, the professionalism u highlighted in ur post didn't matter anymore as ur problems persisted after so much money and time invested.
there are competent hands without a front desk officer that can follow up with obd and time up your car saving you time energy and money. if they tell you to change your engine, you'll be sure what you're getting into.
find them
I agree with you on this. All vehicle owners should at least:
+ read and understand basic attributes of the vehicles they drive + have and be able to use an obd2 scanner.
If you have a good grip on the two points above, a 'KAZEEM' and/or the standard automobile workshop will not throw jargons at you where you end up spending a lot and at the same time not fixing the issues
Catalytic converters (catalyst in local vernacular) change harmful substances in a car's exhaust gasses, such as carbon monoxide, nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide and hydrocarbons, into less harmful substances like carbon dioxide and water vapour by means of chemical reactions. When it fails or is removed like we've been discussing, can lead to engine performance issues.
Let me allow other knowledgeable nairalanders add to this. You can also check online for more information for your learning.
och12: Please what is this "CATALYST"?. I have been seeing the name all over the auto section here. I'm getting a car soon and is trying to garner useful knowledge to enable me enjoy my car. Thanks in advance.
aieromon: First of all, your vehicle came installed with a 5 speed 13-pin gearbox. What you have experienced is the classical symptoms of a 4 speed 10-pin conversion and the only solution is to return the vehicle to factory specs.
That should be the starting point. I agree with your comment
It's best practice to let us know if an issue on a vehicle has been fixed and what was done to fix it. It completes the learning curve and help persons with similar issues get direction on how their car issues can be fixed.
Okoyedavid3: Hi, Pls I make use of a carmy V6, 04 model. I have been experiencing check engine Light on. I scanned the car it showed p0300,p0301,p0305 cylinder misfire. Have changed the plugs to newer ones, the whole six, cleaned the injector. After doing this I toot on a short trip the Cel light didn't appear, But still after going on the 2nd trip next day, CEL comes up, when I scan, the same code pops on....
I need help in resolving this issue. Kindly assist.
That's the way they operate. I personally make out time to stay with them throughout the job especially simple repairs like leaking exhaust. If I won't be there, I put a disclaimer to them: 'There is catalyst on this vehicle and should not be tampered with'.
DAVE5: When my father in law told me how those guy are making crazy money from catalyst export, shock nearly kee me
Nigerians are very wicked ohh
The one I’ve personally caught myself was my previous car, a/c had issues, visited ladipo to get a fix, after sorting ac matter, they come talk say one stuff wey be like panel wey dey control ac dey hot, that I’d need to rework it and it would cost 40k or thereabouts, mehn, I went mad ohh, upon all the bar wey i don spend, other mechanic come join mouth, all of them know say nah format dem run me, luckily as we dey check everything together nah so I see one fuse wey dem comot, omo see para enter second gear, all in all, I still paid the bastard 5k to fix everything properly
Piyke: Unfortunately, this will require disassembly of the components of the AC and flushing. Note that certain things should not be flushed e.g. Compressor, condenser. Compressor should just be drained. After all this, add correct oil quantity to components (eg. Compressor) and the system after you reassemble. There might be some manufacturer specifics to how much oil should be drained from the compressor or added. Why do you think the system has too much oil?
The AC technician said so and in fact alluded the lack of chilling power to the excess oil in the system.
A question, how about a situation where from a previous job, the AC system has a lot of oil above the recommended qty. What do you do to resolve this issue?
