Let south Africa be for south african alone, let Nigeria be for Nigerians.
You can't go to some else country and start telling them how to run their country or how to behave because you have the same skin colour. That is stupidity, it is not your country
South Africans and Nigerians share no cultural similarities. Leave their country for them.
South Africans are the ones developing their country not Nigerians. |

Watch and see.
When oil prices bounches back, the government that will be in power, will not diversify the economy, they will brag and brag how they brought Nigerians out of poverty till the next crash and then the cycles continues.
The only people that can diversify the economy is the private sector, diversification comes from the ability of the private sector to create new industries and technologies.
Government can not do anything except get addicted to their opium which is oil for revenue |

FreeIgbos: My dear, I can see you just want to be mischievous. Igboland has enormous oil and gas resources including those yet to be exploited as well as solid minerals, even though Biafra will have to rely more on sustainable resources like diaspora remmitances that is even at per with crude oil sales in terms of earnings for Nigeria. We also have other sustainable resources like manufacturing and production. Innoson vehicles and others in Nnewi and mass production of consumer goods in Aba are all enough to make a country viable.
What exactly is Idoma going to offer us in Biafra? Can you name them? Yet you want to argue nonsense!
If constituent parts don't pay royalties which would only be a particular fraction of earnings. Maybe you don't even know the meaning of royalties. If you earn 100% and pay only 2% to the central government, won't it be fair enough? Or how would you expect your country to maintain its embassies/foreign missions, maintain its army or any other national project? You want to compare such to Nigeria where everything is taken from you and you're threatened and killed everyday?? Idoma has nothing to offer to biafra, so stop putting idomas in your biafra. |

FreeIgbos: Fulani herdsmen are afraid of losing their slaves. It is Idomas that are attaching themselves to Biafra in order to save themselves from deaths and destruction in the hands of Islamic jan.ja.weed North. No idoma is attaching themselves to biafra but you want to force your biafra on idomas. Idomas aren't biafrans, they are a unique tribe. Idoma history has nothing similar with igbo history, idoma culture is different and idoma dressing is different. Idomas are more related to gwari people of nassarawa, Abuja and people in northern cross river than igbos. There are idomas in igboland especially in enugu state who are marginalized. |

Spy360: You clearly don't understand. Go and do more research. Answer the question. Igbos will be the majority in biafra republic, you want south south which has oil and benue state which has food. Since you are majority, you will be winning all election creating another "fulani" type rule while depending on other and then steal their resources. Well done sir. We are not interested in your biafra. |

FreeIgbos: What bulcrap are you talking about? God forbid that Biafra will represent anything that Nigeria was.
Maybe you're having comprehension challenges, otherwise point out where I stated anything that resemble the nonsense going on in Nigeria. Everyone will certainly have to control their resources and only pay certain royalties to the centre for maintaining the nation. Is this not what Nigeria is practicing? How can you pay to the center and still claim resource control. So what are igbos going to give to the center since they will be the majority in your biafra republic and mainly engage in trading. You can't deceive us no matter how you paint the outside white. |
Politics › Re: Idoma People Of Benue State Launch Protest Against Their Inclusion In Biafra by motymop: 8:09am On Jun 12, 2021 |
FreeIgbos: Everyone will certainly have to control their resources and only pay certain royalties to the centre for maintaining the nation. Land and every other resources will belong to indigenous people of every area but security will be a collective duty. Biafra will definitely have to build a strong military since we are likely to have hostile neighbors, so we can effectively protect every nationality within our borders.
I'm even surprised that up till now, the separatist movements haven't compiled a template of how our constitution will be. Promoting freedom and progress for everyone is what Biafra is all about which is the opposite of what Nigeria stands for. You mean that the same thing you accuse Nigeria of, is the same thing you want to carry out in biafra. |

EgunMogaji2: You’ve got it figured out wrong.
1) Unemployment Insurance is funded by both employees and employers.
2) It’s not meant to replace lost salary in totality but to cushion the immediate effect of unemployment.
3) The maximum is $450 per week so an unemployed executive will make less than $2,000 per month before tax.
To answer your other questions, we need to gravitate away from this premise that Nigerians are poor. We are not. A salaried worker can easily afford the necessary taxes. How many employers and employees will like to fund unemployment benefits after funding their pension and healthcare, the deductions will scare many away from it. Many Nigerians don't believe in insurance talkless of unemployment insurance. I like the idea you have but in the case of Nigeria, it should be the employee that should choose whether he or she wants an unemployment insurance or not. The employee should be able to walk to any insurance company and pick up an unemployment insurance after his or her salaries have been paid. |
