EgunMogaji2: I wish that Nigeria has an unemployment compensation scheme like in the USA.
It’s a good safety net. A good idea but This country is too poor for that. How much will they pay for unemployed Nigerians to be satisfied? |

Alusiizizi: Upwork is only a step to get your foot in the door. If you are especially good(and particularly, if your technical/scientific skills go beyond coding) a universe very quickly opens up for you. Many of those jobs that you hustle for at upwork eventually yield long term clients with ever increasing(more valuable) demands, connections and opportunities to earn much more than you can hope for if limited to upwork alone, at the end of the day, its all a business. There's no way you can compare this to anything that's obtainable in Nigeria with worthless Naira, prolific or not. So how many Nigerian programmers get long time clients on upwork, realistically very few, infact there are lot of competition from India and eastern europe. Lets be realistic, very few Nigerian programmers get a stable job on upwork or even earn a million a month on projects. Now these exceptionally good programmers after they get the dollars, wont they convert it to naira? |

Gerrard59: What's my business with the United States? The aim of my post is comparing a coder/anyone with a skill which can be monetised online in the Nigeria to a medical doctor earning in the worthless naira in the same Nigeria
Again, a profilic coder who earns in dollars outearns his medical doctor counterpart while both are in Nigeria. My business isn't with doctors who relocate. I have already stated above that a prolific doctor in Nigeria earns more than a prolific programmer earning in dollars. Some doctors in Nigeria are owners of hospitals and some are top specialists in their various field, just 1 payment from a single surgical operation is worth x4 than the amount a prolific coder will receive after a 2 month gig Sorry sir, an upwork prolific nigerian coder earn per gigs and his job is not secured, he is like a contractor that can be sacked at any given time. |

SmartProf: A lot of Africans are hypocrites and pose as moralists/chief judge when it has to do with dressing. That trouser she wore is a lot more decent than some skirts hanging around the waist of most females. I think she should return back with hijab, maybe it will add to her relevance in law making. Read what you wrote and also see how you contradicted yourself. Let me explain. Africans are hypocrites and pose as moralists and chief judge. Then you wrote. That trouser she wore is a lot more decent than some skirts hanging in the waist of most female. Aren't you like the africans you claim are hypocrites that pose as a moralist and chief judge ? |

Gerrard59: "Prolific copyrighters".
It's not my fault you don't understand simple English. The fact that programming can be monetised remotely compared to medicine provides a whole lot of leverage over disciplines which cannot be done same way. Do you know what a prolific doctor earn in Nigeria, lets talk about those who own hospitals or are specialists in a particular field. Because a programmer work remotely does not mean he earns more than a doctor. Even in the United states, a doctor earn more than than a programmer. |
Education › Re: Is MBBS Now Totally Useless? by motymop: 1:43am On Jun 01, 2021 |
Gerrard59: Even profilic copywriters can outearn medical doctors let alone the average coder. Look, any skill/profession which can be digitalised and done remotely has higher chances of outearning a medical doctor based in Nigeria.
Check Tensazangetsu20's post, how many medical doctors earn one million naira monthly in Nigeria? How many years does it take to achieve that status? Yours truly has to write ONLY fifteen articles (max 2 pages) and I'll earn N1, 500, 000. My years of experience of writing? Less than three.
Practicing medicine/nursing/pharmacy in Nigeria no be am. You wrote lot of jargons. The average pay for copywriters is 10 dollars on fiverr. Many doctors are doing better off than programmers here in Nigeria. There are lot of means to earn cash. Do you know how much they pay the average programmers in Nigeria? 50 -70k per month |

Anybody discouraging you from studying medicine hates you.
Study your medicine, most doctors are better off than programmers in Nigeria and abroad.
Not every programmer earn well and also many hardly get jobs on upwork except they are exceptionally good. |

Rip to the chief of army staff
I remembered when azazi was killed in a helicopter crash in Port Harcourt due to so called bad weather Now the chief of armed staff , similar fate
I dont want to be a conspiracy theorist but i hope this is not the work of some military officials trying to stop the reforms he has been carrying out.
Expect the terrorist groups IPOB, Boko haram and iSWAP them to jubilate in their camp.

Nonsense Government getting a court order isn't easy. this is funny. So who then own the courts? Who created the courts? |

Luigi02: I never falsed my info when I was registering it. My service provider can know my info with my Lmei, yes but that doesn't mean they would disclose it to the FG without proper warrant from the court. They can only release those details if I'm being investigated by the police. The FG getting those stuffs from my service provider will only mean its been approved by the court. Trust me, it's Alot better than them having it. If your Lmei number is with the FG, they can easily access your info without you even knowing and can easily frame you up since we have terrorists like pantami in charge of those things Didn't i write about court order before? |

I don't think this mumu complete his elementary education, I guess this one is also a product of quota system Imagine a quota system product explaining simple tech to mr " smart" You don't know that, you need court order to ask for any information in Nigeria. The purpose of court order is to legalize the process of government seeking information of a citizen. |

anyway some mumu can submit theirs for thus terrorist govt, not me and my family If you like don't submit your NIN. You did sim registration, your info is their already. Anybody that buys a new sim will be asked for Nin and your personal data before you can use a sim. The usefulness is for proper tracking of crimes. |

50 Adult male cows × 500,000 = 25,000,000 20 young cows × 200,000 = 4,000,000
Most spare part business aren't up to 29,000,000 naira that is because most spare part dealers deals in secondhand parts.
What the Minister is trying to say is simple.
The constitution of Nigeria gives freedom of trade and movement to any part of Nigeria for Nigerians.
If a spare part dealer can move from the south, east to any part of Nigeria, a herdman is also free to move to any part of the country.
Telling a herdman not to herd his cows in the south or east is unconstitutional likewise telling a spare part deal not to trade in any part of the country is unconstitutional. |
