Family / Re: Why Do Women Knowingly Marry Deadbeats? by Mountbatten: 6:42pm On Aug 04, 2023
Think we don't have enough context to judge either party as this is a gross generalisation.

After going through the thread, you live in the ghetto which answers your question. Young lady get exposed to s#x at a young age, gets pregnant and sticks with the guy who is usually much older.

Parents force both of them into unplanned marriage, which leaves both of them no choice. Guy is utterly useless to himself, family and society and does nothing all day than drinking, gambling, stealing, drugs and sleeping around like a rabid dog.

They grow to resent each other and the guy resorts to physically, mentally and emotionally abusing his “wife” who's also had her life ruined. She's probably too old now to go back to high school or diligent to go to uni, as she has a kid to cater for so the cycle continues.

Very unfortunate situation.

Run! Run!! Run!!!
My sister run away from the following men..

1. The ones who ask you what you have to offer. These are irresponsible men. They are looking for who to shift their responsibilities to. If not, why would they ask such a dummy question.

2. Men who are interested in your past than your future. Always asking you about your past life. These ones are not ready for marriage.

3. The ones who always want to have their way between your legs whenever you visit them. They can never marry you. It's that sexx that is keeping them.

4. The ones who do not tell you their plans. Always being secretive. You are not important to them because I see no reason a man should keep his plans away from the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with.

5. The ones who tell their parents almost every about them. They want to eat rice today mum will know. The want to send you 5k their daddy will know.

6. The ones who can't introduce you to their friends. They will not marry you.

7. The ones who do not want you to know their earnings. Run o.

Will you be quiet! To the streets you belong.

Big Brother Show: Painful Statistics of what should be an illicit business

Pray for Nigerian youths

Total number of votes cast during Britain Got talent 2017 = 6.2million votes

Total number of votes cast during American got talent 2017 = 52.1million votes.
Note: American population is twice Nigeria's population.

Mind you, most of the votes cast on either Britain or American got talent are *absolutely free* because you can vote on their websites & on the Apps without paying a dime.

Total number of votes cast during “Big Brother Nigeria” 2018 = 170million votes @ N30 per sms for a show that contributes absolutely nothing to their lives.

It is neither a talent show or life enhancing or promoting show. A show where adults are kept in a cage to freely give & take sex on National Television, while the organisers make more money from the youths.

If INEC organises general election this weekend and ask Nigerian youths to vote on their mobile phones @ N10 per SMS to elect leaders that will shape their futures & the country, they will ask Nigerian Government to credit their accounts 1st before they will agree to vote in that magnitude.

“Wasted Generation” ~ Prof. Wole Soyinka called them.

“A generation that play too much, sleep too much and engage in idle chatter and gossip" ~ Chief Obafemi Awolowo foresaw

A generation of illiterate graduates ~ Atiku Abubakar called them in 2016

A generation that are constantly not concerned about the deteriorating conditions of their senses & not bothered about their own future~ Osquare78 knows them.

We all must be wary of this generation.... they are the larger chunk of Nigerian population.

It is pathetic. 170 Million votes Multiplied by N30 = N 5.1 billion and the winner got N25 million plus an SUV worth N12 million a trip and electronics.

To destroy the future, destroy the seed (children and youths)...

Pray for Nigeria youths to open their eyes and for God to touch the hearts of those who engage in such illicit business.

So unfortunate!

We Rise!

People who engage these sorts of “reality” shows lack critical thinking ability, are usually shallow and vapid. How can an adult waste their time watching others waste their time? There's literarily nothing to learn from these pointless scripted and rehearsed shows.

Before you bring sport into this, it at least provides insight into management, teamwork and building, culture, languages etc.

That mumu Lord person for just dey e own dey. The North should've been part of Niger Republic but here we are today, suffering the consequences of that amalgamation.

Nigeria will never progress as a country as we don't share the same religion, culture, history, or beliefs. Every top performing country have certain things in common such as one language, religion, culture, history, and/or belief.

Nigeria isn't ready to be a country, independence was a mistake.

Now they've got older, used and washed up asking “where all the men have gone”. Well sweetheart, they've gone their way.

Romance / Re: Dating Older Women VS Dating Young Girls by Mountbatten: 12:02pm On Aug 03, 2023
Zooposki:

Men weaponize marriage so as to gain control over women. Once women come out from the bondage of, “Marriage is essential to life”, men will lose their control. Why do you think men shame unmarried older women? They are scared of losing that control and want the younger ones(women) to fall in line. Notice he said 26yrs old as older. This is to make sure the women start panicking at a younger age and fall in line.

One day, you'll hit 35 and find yourself solo in your cosy pad, casually flipping through social media posts of your pals marking their wedding anniversaries, kids, and hubbies.

That's when it hits you how many hours you've sunk into that job, which could toss you aside at any moment, leaving you feeling totally down. The ticking of your biological clock might start ringing in your ears, and you'll think, “Wow, time to find a decent partner is slipping away, and I'm not the same hottie I once was.”

Afterward, you'll sigh, put down your phone, and have a good ol' cry before drifting off to sleep.

Hi guys,

So I recently got a job in a big 4 firm. Apparently I’m in tax and I am absolutely not finding it enjoyable.

I’m sad about this because I want to do audit.

I’m only sticking it through, it appears I cannot move in my firm because I just joined and going to a year.

I do want to leave to another big 4 firm to audit as I don’t mind starting over but then I do not know the process of doing this to make this move.

How do I cope with something I absolutely do not find joy in.

Advise…..

Speak to your partner and let them know your concerns, as it's probably still early or close to the end of the FY depending on your firm.

Should they not listen, apply to another Big 4 (referral is much better) and move on.

To avoid statements like “After everything I have done for you, I gave you breathe, I made and built you up…” in the next minor misunderstanding.

Would rather die of hunger than borrow from a woman who isn't my mother or sister. At least their love has limited conditions.
Celebrities / Re: Men Cheat For Fun Not Because They Don’t Love Their Wives — Blessing CEO by Mountbatten: 10:30pm On Aug 01, 2023
Rubbish, men don't cheat for fun but are more likely to cheat when:
• She starves her man of sëx, forcing him into banging other women.
• She stops making effort into looking pretty, which is a massive turn off.
• Due to the above, he begins to find her unattractive but doesn't mean he doesn't love her. He just needs to satisfy his primitive needs.

In summary, women should never let their men leave home with an empty stomach and full sack.

Solid post. In addition,

• Travelling abroad is completely from living and earning there.
• Don't also fall into the trap of converting local currency to Naira as bills will erase this mindset real quick
• Ensure to have a partner you're travelling with, especially if you're not the sociable type otherwise you'll struggle with loneliness and depression from the weather.
• Ensure to have a solid job or offer with a take home of at least £40,000 after tax before going to the UK as the job search is brutal.

This one is mental o. Is it your money? Or you think everyone has empty pockets or poor mentality like yours?

People earn good money and cus of so, spend good money on themselves and their needs eg gadgets. Get a life and stop embarrassing yourself on someone’s case.

No mind the broke fellow. Accounting for inflation, ₦170,000 is nothing for a phone. I remember buying a new iPhone 5s for ₦150,000 in 2012 when it launched. Newer top range phones will cost you over ₦450,000 these days.

What do u want to do with a phone that cost 170k or u just feel like opening thread?
Are you paying for the device, otherwise how's it any of your business? Just because you can't afford to doesn't mean OP shouldn't.

If you can't make any meaningful contribution, you can always skip the thread.

RE OP: You should try getting a used iPhone 12 with at least 90% battery life if you can stretch your budget. iPhones are worth every penny as they last a long time compared to other phones in that range. It will see many more years of meaningful OS updates.

Better to save to get what you want than settle for something you'll suffer buyer's remorse for.

Family / Re: Are Physical Attributes So Important? by Mountbatten: 1:45pm On Jul 30, 2023
So let me get this straight.

• You are a single mother, with two kids who's over 30 years old.
• A man who is rich, caring, generous and with the possibility of becoming a king in a few years is interested in you.
• He's married, you're not keen on royal family ties, and he's too short for you.

Why are you wasting time dealing with someone you clearly have no interest in? Did you post this to seek validation because I really don't understand the point of this post?

If you're truly doing great financially then focus on your kids ffs! You seem shallow and you didn't give us a background as to how you ended up as a single mum with 2 kids.

No man who is tall, rich, caring and generous will want anything to do with you as they have better options. Why would they even consider you? Men generally don't like raising other men's kids.

This is excellent news! People who go abroad with nothing to offer except becoming leaches to the government, whilst tarnishing what's left of the Nigerian name out there, deserve no sympathy.

Why would you want to leave Nigeria or your home country, if you are settled and established there? Unless you have an ulterior motive, there's nothing special about these other countries, as there's no food for the lazy man. It's not the land of milk and honey as bills dey choke too.

You're basically a pay check away from becoming homeless abroad if you don't have an established network. Same can't be said of Naija tbh.
