Romance / Re: Why Are You Not Married? by Mountbatten: 12:06pm On Nov 25, 2023
There are a handful of women out there who are emotionally mature to cope in a marriage. I have no plan of settling for less, as men are the price. Women these days lack the patience to maintain a meaningful and long-lasting relationship built on solid principles.

They are looking for pseudo-fathers to provide things their fathers could never dream of affording when we're just dating. In the end, all they have to offer is baggage and trauma from a promiscuous past.

I would like to marry as it brings its own benefits however, nothing is worse than marrying the wrong person who will make the rest of your living days miserable.

iPhone is overrated and overpriced.

Overpriced? Yes because of our messed up currency. Overrated? No. Just because you can't afford to get one doesn't make your statement true.

Oga Sukkot, I understand what you are saying. But I think you are not getting the context right in my opinion

I believe hardworking means someone who invests his time, energy, resources, convenience etc into a work. But whether he produces satisfactory output is a different matter.

For example, If a persons leaves home by 5am in order to get to work by 8am, closes by 5pm to get home by 10pm as most Lagosians do, then that's hardwork. That routine is not a child's play. However, half of his time at work might be used to chat instead of being productive so while he is depriving himself sleep to go to work, we can say he is working hard but unproductive.

The reason why lots of Nigerians are unproductive is because we don't see our work as a service but just a means to get money. It's like I put in the effort, you pay me my money. Whether the result is unsatisfactory or not that one no concern me,just pay me my money.

I think we are hardworking but unprofessional and unproductive

What you've just described has nothing to do with hardwork. As a matter of fact, it says otherwise as you will always get to work jaded which results into unproductivity. The average Nigerian is lacking in work ethic and professional candour.

Maybe you're undeserving of such, hence the rant. Just because one is older doesn't mean they command respect.

In igbo land, you don't give an elder something with a left hand
But where I live
I saw a boy of about 20 using left hand to pass food to a man of 80 years.

I tried to correct him but they said it doesn't mean anything.

That year in the late 90's
Students of UNN will us message, you born you to say no

You are not a serious person if you can't read the writtings on the wall. Just because a lady has expressed kindness, doesn't mean she wants to be in a relationship.

ā€¢ She's in a ā€œseriousā€ relationship and intends to marry soon.
ā€¢ She's your colleague, yet you continue to play dumb

How dumb can you be? If this were to be a corporate environment, you're at risk of losing your job due to sexual harassment but here you are thinking with your gonads.

Why not focus on your job and find other women out there who aren't your colleague? You're only attracted to her because you're in proximity with limited options. How would you feel if someone else did this same thing to your fiancƩ?

Haven't you heard of the saying ā€œDon't shĀ”t where you balance your sheets?ā€ Don't be stupid man, move onā€¦ šŸ¤¦šŸæā€ā™€ļø

Just plan ahead and save.

My rent is ā‰„ā‚¦2M for 2BD so I started saving ā‚¦5k a day towards that as I planned my rent to always expire Dec 31.

Despite the inflation, I hope I'll be fine, and no unfortunate circumstance breaks my financial planning. I hope to stop renting soon and own my own flat.

Your rent shouldn't be over 30% of your annual income.

He thought he was smart coming up with the ā€œ3 Gsā€ and here I was expecting to see health related adviceā€¦

These pastors need to take a hike as they're so far detached from reality. Most of their preaching is always around money and Ɵex which is just too predictable.

You just can't survive in this world today without having enough money to sustain oneself, but these preachers will tell you otherwise yet guilt-tripping their congregation into paying offering and tithe.

Well well well, if it isn't the consequences of poor government policiesā€¦

Purchasing power has reduced as a result of overall increase in necessities. Hopping on Jumia to make that impulse luxury purchase is no longer viable, which in the long run impacts Jumia as a profitable firm.

We'll continue to see a decline in profit margins for many organisations, which will lead to an exodus due to instability and possible shutdowns.

A renewed shege indeed.
