ijebujazz:Because you are too lazy to read or too blinded by hatred, or afflicted by mental poverty (or all of the above) that's why you've been able to see the published APC blueprint that is available online, even on NL. Even ACN had a well articulated blueprint in 2007 and 2011. |
many residents of Lagos State have been fleeing the state because of the high taxation being imposed by the state government. When exactly did the Lagos govt increase taxes. A VP should know the difference between implementation of laws and outright change in that law. I dare ask: What alternative plan/blueprint is PDP proposing for Lagos? This was exactly the question Agbaje could not provide answers to in his 2003 campaigns. |
chukwudi44:This position is what's giving PDP confidence of winning Lagos, but IMHO it is false hope. The street traders and okada riders are actually in the minority (almost insignificant) in Lagos. I once asked an okadaman in Ikorodu to tell me his honest opinion which is more between okada and private cars and he replied "private cars". I also asked him how he thought the okada riders will out-vote the others who are happy with restrictions placed on okada operations and he became dumb. At least half the population of okada riders in ikorodu are not going to vote in Lagos. Ikorodu is in complete lockdown, nothing for Apc there at allI think you're just dreaming. Most people I know who don't want APC here are resolved not to vote for Jonathan. In fact many of them shout GMB more than the APC supporters. |
The massive corruption involved in getting loans from govt institutions such as BOA and NEXIM defeats all "acclaimed" achievements of all these fund. You will never get more than 60% of the amount sought. Normally the corruption costs on each lone is at least 20%. |
XavierG:Lol. Where did you get that from? Actually the practice of pouring water in the tanker is not always for fraudulent purpose. They sometimes use it to clean the tank or something like, I was once told by a dealer friend. |
Femi Fani-Kayode is a man to be ashamed of. Desperate to make himself relevant deceives himself to possess knowledge and wisdom which are beyond him. |
It's saddening to see any Nigerian youth degenerate to the level the op, blog, and his supporters have as to brazenly embark on a mission of deliberate misinformation of fellow Nigerians, and the whole world on a particular issue. Politics needs to be played with reasonable decorum. The manner of politics being displayed here by this generation makes Nigeria look hopeless. Even the devil works with the truth not this manner of brazen falsehood. |
Jonathan only went to talk to his boys. Not all Nigerians buy the lies of Jonathan not being in anyway linked to MEND. No one can be a militant leader in Ijaw land unless he is a member of IYC. |
Didn't this Mentuh man say GMB should base his campaigns on issues? Looks like the fear of losing the general election has finally fried his brain. In any case even a vote for Tinubu will still be gain: it would be a vote for sustainable development plan (as evident in Lagos), competent and result driven ministers and agency heads, increased non-oil income, all of which are evident where his "protege" (men) govern. |
Mimiko is delusional, me think. |
Sorry guys. Your fear is evident. |
@op, take one more step please... Go stand in front of a fast moving train! |
seankay:With mud I suppose. But 1billion is wickedly outrageous. |
Does look like Iweala is not clueless? |
That road has always robbers' den for years now. During this period robbers even operate inside Okene town anything from 10.00pm |
Just what exactly has he done to improve on the wellbeing of the common man? |
Labaran Maku lost?! Now that is a sweet news for me. |
All these "repelling" and "dislodging" of terrorists are happening without SOE. I did say then that an SOE might be unnecessary. Our military could not have been so blatantly incompetent at defending the nation's territorial integrity. Corrupted system and institutions are the real problems aggravated by a lack of will by Mr. President. |
After what happened on Thursday , when Punch announced a winner even when voting was still ongoing, I don't consider Punch's reports on this political matters as reliable. Anyway elections are here, the newspaper houses always try to increase through sensational political reports that they care less about the veracity of the news they publish. |
ijawcitizen:No. It is a true representation of the of socio-political discourse involving the average "ordinary" Nigerian. I've had similar discussion severally here in Lagos with Okadariders, yellow bus drivers, traders and in once in Jos with a TANoid (as you call them here). The ones in Lagos do not even know that all the PDP states are implementing the very same policies they are complaining about. The Jos guy wast spewing the very same lies of the PDP against APC and GMB. |
This was a transparent election: as transparent as a arty primary can be. The Anbode team worked hard for this result. Even if he's Tinubu's candidate they did not leave anything to chance. Here in Ikorodu there were only 2 truely visible aspirants, GOS and Anbode, and the latter had been the most prominent all so long. |
hayokunleoni:Thanks. |
Delusional bunch forming wise. |
And all of you (above commentators) are part of the youths that hope to lead this country someday? You need to learn some critical thinking and cease your naive, sentiment driven populist thinking. The USA is about the most indebted nation in the world yet she's 2nd largest economy; and that not just based on GDP. Any government waiting for money from some IGR and some statutory allocation could not have achieved the level of infrastructural development in Lagos in the last few years |
What really is LG autonomy, in the context of the constitution and concept of true federalism? What constitutional powers do the Federal legislative houses have over the administration of LGs? What the terms of this proposed autonomy: Is it go to Abuja to collect allocations from incomes not generated by the LGs or a right for the LGs to generate incomes and freely manage what they generate? The questions can be endless. But unless the national assembly take the parts that put legislations and supervision of LGs under state houses of assembly and government respectively from the constitution; and go the full hug and a unitary constitution for the country, this particular autonomy stand is contradiction and mere grandstanding.op This amendment will not be endorsed by any state assembly (mark my word). The NA ought to know they're just wasting time. LG autonomy campaigners are presently not seeking their own interest and not necessarily those of masses. |
May her sins be forgiven and May the chief of the universe, the Almighty and most high God, have greater regard for her good deeds. This woman and the other dead members of her team would, probably still be alive if we hac(have) a RESPONSIBLE and RESPONSIVE FG. If we didn't have a reactionary govt at the centre as we do Mr SAWYER would not have passed our airport, even if we excuse the Nigerian commission in Liberia for clearing him. We have an FG that claimed in April that Nigeria was fully prepared against Ebola yet the airports lacked Ebola detecting capacity and capability. It's really a shame. Most annoying. |
About 2008, I was involved in a lengthy online discussion initiated by a fellow promoting an agenda for an El-Rufai or Ribadu presidency and I insisted then that Ribadu was too naive to be given any elective position. The guy is just incapable of reflective thinking. That's why he could not see that his candidature in ACN then was not because he had any electoral value, but that he was just a pawn for a bigger plan. Now again, he's proven me right: He is denser than GEJ. How is his becoming a governor under PDP going to make the party treat Nigerians with more respect. He will probably end up being impeached; that's if PDP gives him the ticket and he goes on to win. |
This govt is neither serious nor sincere about reopening d schools. Mr President should know that this approach has never worked. If not for d habit & desire to breach agreement, what is "hard" in Mr President appending his Signing. |
