PoliticsRe: Lagos Police Attempts To Cover Up Shooting Of Banker & Security Guard by Mowire: 7:52am On Nov 14, 2012
It's so very disheartening to live every day knowing that the Nigerian Police Force is totally dishonest! The real criminals are probably the only people in this country who is not afraid of a Nigerian policeman.
We need a very "heady" leadership to change a thing like this.

sheyguy: "the congregation have been Brainwashed".
Not just Brainshed, but they've been MISGUIDED! Are we to believe that there're poor; poor widows&orphans, jobless, shoe-less, et al underprivileged persons in the church & around d "donors"?!

FamilyRe: Anything Wrong With Allowing My Wife To See A Male Gynecologist by Mowire: 7:59pm On Oct 27, 2012
IMO, this bjcole's behaviour should be added to the list of irresponsible behaviours. How can a man put his personal insecurity above the well being of his, supposed, wife?!

FamilyRe: Anything Wrong With Allowing My Wife To See A Male Gynecologist by Mowire: 8:02pm On Oct 24, 2012
@OP. So which doctor(s)/gyna did your wife see during pregnancy? You sound like you endangered your wife's, & now born baby's lives during pregnancy by not seeing appropriate medical personel.
Pls let your wife see gyna. Male or female makes no difference! Most that I've met are male anyway.
FamilyRe: Between Our Partner And Our Parent-in-law,who Are We To Respect More? by Mowire: 7:47pm On Oct 24, 2012
@greatgod, let me ask you: Between your friend & his/her parent who would you respect more? The answer to that (which is obvious) applies to your question, IMO.
FamilyRe: Male Babies Suck Breast More Than Female Babies, WHY? by Mowire: 7:27pm On Oct 24, 2012
Simple answer: The bible says (ok, infers) that the female bossom is for the man, to suck & sleep on. So male babies' "extra suckings" are practice sessions for future duties. Finish! grin
PropertiesRe: Building In Nigeria: Lessons Learned by Mowire: 1:44am On Oct 19, 2012
@brabus, honestly I admire your patience in packaging this thread. I'd to read from op to this vey point without break.
Nice work. You can't imagine what favour you've your professional colleagues by educating home owners who rush to this forum to learn how tackle and frustrate ("the antics" of) their Engineers.
FamilyRe: What Kind Of Husband Are You? by Mowire: 2:12pm On Oct 18, 2012
To which category does a man who is God fearing; prayerful; always waits for his wife before making any decision, prays when he's supposed to act, belong.
How about the man who possesses 90% of the kingdom hubby traits but Loves his mother as his MOTHER, & his wife as his WIFE without weighing them side by side. Not loving one above the other. Which category is he?
FamilyRe: I Need Answers From Married People Only! by Mowire: 1:40pm On Oct 18, 2012
@sunky, pele o.
TRUTH: Your wife is right! You are the HEAD of the home/family. Aren't you? It is your responsibility to house, feed, clothe your family & educate your kids.
However, in today's contemporary world, average man needs all the help possible & our wives are best for such. But you can't go compelling your wife to specific %ge contribution. A wise hubby shud know how to get anything (financial) from his wife & not quarel.
You're so agitated. Calm down. Tell her she's right & see what happens next.
FamilyRe: My Marriage Life Experience! by Mowire: 5:28pm On Oct 16, 2012
Inspiring encouraging thread.
OP & first few replies got me chuckling (hope that word's right). Then @figure took my smile away. & I rushed to page 2 to see how best to describe such hubby as her's, but alas the smile's back. ( thank God my wife is not here to ask why I'm smiling)
FamilyRe: Experienced Mothers In The House by Mowire: 4:26pm On Oct 16, 2012
OK: mothers are still here & there on the solution, can a father ve a say(?).
Fungbact did it for my son. The thing almost got out of hand til I told my wife to stop using all the "familiar" remedies that were recommended to us by "older mothers" (some made it worse) & we took him to see Dr.
We've had to suggest same cream to my her SIL 2ce with perfect result.
But still see ur Dr.

FamilyRe: Before I Make That Decision by Mowire: 1:50pm On Oct 16, 2012
Bro, an employer that can't pay ur 1st month salary is not an employer. Ur best bet, based on ur post, is quit ur present "slavery", return to Lagos to "support" ur dear wife; nuture ur biz while looking out for a job (if need be).
Sorry about ur loss.
FamilyRe: I'm Planning Of Marriage But The Question Is Can 30,000 Salary Sustain Both Of Us by Mowire: 1:32pm On Oct 16, 2012
Very recently a despatch rider in my wife's office was hospitalised for HBP, on a weekend. His situation?: 3 of his kids are in higher institutions at once.
He had faith & had been surviving before now?
Improve ur finances before u're wed. God may not back ur blind faith.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Is The MAJOR Problem Of Lagos State by Mowire: 9:57pm On Oct 14, 2012
Mr Iwise. Your utter hatred for Tinubu has totally sealed off your capacity to reason. Thus your sanity is totally lost.
For the benefit of those who sincerely don't know: The Ikeja GH (LASUTH), is today considered as the most effective public health in this country by patron public. Not a few patients there are from as far as Kwara state. Many patients will rather sleep on the flr than a bed @ LUTH.
Ode iranu!
FamilyRe: Experienced Mothers In The House by Mowire: 5:25pm On Oct 14, 2012
You should have added "and Fathers" to the title: Some of us (fathers) know as much about these baby things as the mothers, if not more in some cases!
lol
PropertiesRe: The Interlocking Slabs On The Floor Of My House Is Giving Way by Mowire: 2:55pm On Oct 14, 2012
anabellex: Thanks Emytech. D guy I contracted it assured me he did a very good job and this prob arose just three years after.
May not be your contractor's fault. There's nothing he could've done about future soil movement, that could've caused the defects you're reporting, at the time. Just do what emytech said. Same can still occur in future, though.
FamilyRe: 27-year-old Woman Commits Suicide After Giving Birth To Twins by Mowire: 2:11pm On Oct 14, 2012
This is one of those reasons why informed parents (want to) get concerned & involved in the choice of who their sons marry. Cos it's known fact (here in the SW, at least) that "insanity after child birth" runs in some families.
FamilyRe: My Husband Says He Owns Me- Help Me Understand! by Mowire: 1:57pm On Oct 14, 2012
You know, if you're a xtian & accept biblical principles & doctrines (& you should), truth is your husband does own you: That's why he's the only one who can divorce you (biblically) while you remain his til his death
Just Musing...
PoliticsRe: Biafran War: Achebe Did Not Write This. by Mowire: 6:35pm On Oct 11, 2012
Reading the OP, I wonder just why immediately after the war,& to this day, Igbos in their numbers still rushed to the same Nigeria regions to build their bizs', neglecting Igbo land. Can't their intellectuals enlighten them better instead of preaching hatred.
Even today an igboman still nurses the dream of an Igbo governor of a SW state!
PoliticsRe: Nicon Luxury Abuja The Den Of Tribalism And Witch Hunting by Mowire: 5:37pm On Oct 11, 2012
In 1993 a (then) Dr. Ijioma, HOD Electrical/electronics dept FUT, Owerri, asked 2 final year Yoruba students (2 1 grade) "Do u think u will graduate from this school". Those guys had to go spiritual to so they cud.
1989, the same Dr, among other Igbo lecturers, asked me (a Yoruba man)why I'd chosen FUTO, despite all d universities in my region (to the detriment of Igbos)

Igbos don't really fare any better in tribalism, I suppose
