Mostly true, but not all. Some companies on nse never lost what they gained in january. Some have even gone high eg CILeasing.
Even Aiico is selling at its january price.

Most of those who went into skye bank and drown with it, did so on TA basis. TA said enter, FA said don't enter that sinking ship.
I think a balance of TA and FA is necessary, and not forgetting Mr Sentiment.

I think you should also limit it to NSE.
There are countries where you don't have political, economic and corporate governance issues, countries where you invest solely for dividends, countries where you invest longterm and come back to see your investment multiply in hundred folds despite global meltdowns and all what not.
Nigeria and NSE has a peculiar problem. Too many foreigners who would always leave at the slightest provocation or opportunity whether from within or outside.

I don't think so. I think their suspension by NSE made them release the result. If not for the suspension, them for just dey hike the loss until they make small profit.
As soon as they release all outstanding results, the suspension will be lifted.
It appears they have even released everything. Watch as the suspension will be lifted.

The alarm you guys are raising is unnecessary. Polaris will not fail. Its presently in the hands of cbn and still operates well. Its up for sale. Polaris is not the first bank to be taken over by cbn. The others did not fail.
Although I regret the loss suffered by shareholders, I think the cbn practice of taking over failing banks and selling same to willing investors is commendable. It secures depositor funds, jobs and economic balance.
I can assure you that there are more than 10 capable hands, local and foreign, (including insiders) ready to takeover the bank. Its a very large bank. A combination of old Afribank and skye bank.

I wish I had money for fcmb. Its looking too attractive. Imagine, yeye diamond at 1.40, with all their issues. I don't see fcmb making a loss in q3 moreso that they have a healthy NPL level. May the price remain at this point or even lower till money comes.
