So GTCO decided to cross 70today. Na wa oh |
Agbalowomeri:I think NSe should remove all those restrictions now that the market is a bit stable. Let it be as is done in Other countries of the world. No limits. If the companies want to manipulate they will still manipulate. It is the job of the regulators to monitor, dictate and arrest such manipulations. Even with the restrictions, the lower priced stock easily gets manipulated |
Agbalowomeri:At the last AGM, seplat promised to look into the bonus shares option. Make them give us 10:1 like Aradel. Lol. But make e no fall in price like aradel oh |
KarlTom:Lol. You now know agba. Like some pple were waiting for his GTB N17 call and are now buying at 69. Agba fit dey load Aradel you no go know. |
bastardson:If you go through the corporate disclosure page on NSE for 12th and 19th May, you will find that some of their staff bought even at 525. The person/pple selling off might not be controlling share holders. Maybe someone with some good units who just discovered his investment has gone ×100 by the price increase and rights issue that followed. Or maybe a next of kin selling unexpected loot. If it were a major stakeholder, then he ought to have made corporate disclosures on NSE portal regarding the sale. |
chimex38:Banks will never want to settle until it gets too bad. Back in the days, a colleague of mine did a case of wrongful withdrawal against stanbic, they refused to settle the case until judgment of N250million was given against them. They now sent a director to the colleague, pleading and pleading for a settlement in reduced sum. I presently have a case with zenith bank, after acknowledging wrong they offered N500k as settlement for a case we sued for over N1.5billion. |
otokx:29th May is payment date |
Streetinvestor2:Abeg as you dey collect, try dey pay tithe so that The business go dey move smoothly. I go send you acct number you tithe |
Fidelity selling at N20 and Access trading at N23 is certainly not normal. With time, one must move away from the other. |
Aradel why. Over N2.3billion in transactions this morning. Price officially down by N43 |
NSEstudent:It might be a warning sign. I remember earlier this year someone told me that with the rates being offered and the numbers being subscribed, Nigeria has a huge chance of default in settlement of maturing Tbills and bonds. Last year they paid almost 6 Trillion to banks alone apart from local and foreign investors https://nairametrics.com/2025/04/28/nigerian-banks-earn-n5-93-trillion-from-investing-in-treasury-bills-omo-bills-others-in-2024/ Just 8 banks have N41.7trillion investments in government securities https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/access-zenith-six-other-banks-grow-investment-securities-to-n41-7tn/%3famp How do they want to settle all these? No wonder the subscription level for these securities are reducing. |
Aradel go sweet well well. Just a matter of time. https://businessday.ng/energy/article/renaissance-surpasses-oil-output-target-by-40-in-first-month/ Renaissance surpasses oil output target by 40% in first month... Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited says it has outperformed expectations by surpassing its oil production target by 40 percent in its first month of operations, signalling strong early momentum in Nigeria’s oil sector. The achievement, announced in a statement on Friday by company spokesperson Michael Adande, highlights Renaissance’s swift entry and immediate contribution to Nigeria’s energy landscape, according to a report by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). Adande described the output surge as a significant boost for the joint venture (JV) and a positive sign for Nigeria’s oil production prospects and broader economic development. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, which holds a 55 percent stake in the joint venture, commended Renaissance’s performance, hailing it as “sterling and remarkable.” In a letter signed by Udobong Ntia, NNPC’s executive vice president for upstream, the national oil firm acknowledged the JV operator’s performance for April 2025. “This is to commend Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited, your esteemed leadership team, and staff for exceeding the production target in your JV assets for April 2025,” the letter stated. NNPC expressed confidence that the strong start would spur the company to accelerate key initiatives aimed at boosting output while ensuring sustained base production. The company also restated its commitment to working closely with Renaissance to grow output, cut costs, and align with evolving market conditions. NNPC reaffirmed its goal to scale up Nigeria’s crude oil production to over 2 million barrels per day by 2025, with plans to sustain the momentum through 2027 and ultimately reach 3 million barrels per day by 2030. Tony Attah, managing director and CEO of Renaissance, described NNPCL’s recognition as “encouraging and motivating.” “For us, it is a taste of the new beginning we have promised,” he said, adding that the company is assessing other high-impact projects and operational strategies to unlock further production potential while preserving existing output. Attah credited the success to effective collaboration with host communities, government bodies, JV partners, and the commitment of the company’s workforce. Renaissance Africa Energy Holdings officially took over operations from Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC) in December 2024, following final regulatory approvals from the federal government. |
But something tells me the big players in the sector might be behind the court action and senate interventions. They will like to buy up the cement company. I for one will love to see a merger/acquisition by BUA. Them go give better compensation |
Streetinvestor2:I just did some research on the case and I discovered the case was commenced by Originating Summons. If they don't raise more objections then we expect the case to be concluded by June / July this year. Cases brought by Originating summons are fought on affidavit evidence. No need for witnesses. They just adopt their processes in one day, and the court adjourns for judgment. |
It's like this wapco divestment is going to be like the dangfood |
NnFN and betaglass just dey do 10 10 % on a daily |
bastardson:You need to complete and send an e-dividend mandate form to their registrars. That way you get your dividends direct to your bank account. The direct Cash settlement is different |
RodgersAkpafu:According to datamax(registrars for GTco) most mandated done to Access/diamond accounts did not go through. |
RodgersAkpafu:My GTco and zenith still dey roam. I go soon swear for all the pple wey dey block my dividends |
Access bank dividend just arrived safely. Hmmm if na other companies now, my access account no go gree collect |
4willer:Access bank na eye bank. They not only refuse to reward investors, they also prevent other companies from rewarding investor with access bank account. |
Makanjuola89:I pray oando does 150, maybe that will help aradel to move to 2,000. |
Some stocks just move without noise. I remember when someone here was shouting NNFN, NNFN NNFN... We no green hear. I remember selling the few I had at N10. Now just see that NNFN selling at N95. Na so we go miss Ella |
Pls who has veritas registrars phone number. Those pple are yet to pay and the numbers on their site are not going through |
KarlTom:All that money might end up in UBA next offer. |
Agbalowomeri:lol. That one na two years ago. Transcohotel pumping na every week |
What are they using to pump transcohotel. Does it mean that the same thing cannot be deployed to move Transcorp and transpower? |
KarlTom:They gave fy div of 3.9Cents and special Div of 3.3cents Total dividend (apart from the 3 interim dividends for q1, q2 and Q3). is 6.9cents which is = N111 |
jonnysessy:You go dey smell marketing until the stock clock 2k then you go say... |
KarlTom:The good thing about buying presco at this point is the fact that you still get to enjoy 2024 dividend of N42. The q1 result is another big plus. |
jonnysessy:That is their way. It will take another two months before they act |
Something tells me the registrars deliberately hold on to these dividends either alone or in collaboration with the banks. I have had several experiences including one with Total energies. That of total was that I had been mandated and recieving dividends for over 4yrs then suddenly they stopped paying. When I called they said file a new dividend mandate. I did so. It took a petition to SEC which I copied the company and the registrar, for my outstanding dividends to be paid. Right now my GTco and Zenith are outstanding. Datamax asked me to call them last Friday and when I did they refused to pick. Na SEC route I go follow again be that. It's very unfortunate why these things happen even when the regulators claim they want to end the issue of unclaimed dividends. |
