Sunrisepebble: From now till the end of the year, I’m still looking for a good entry into Nahco, might buy some more Transcorp and if MTNN trades @ 190 or below again, I’ll look to add more.
These are my stocks for 2025 though: UGAZ Presco MTNN Seplat (on LSE) Transcorp Vitafoam NAHCO Nigerian Breweries Aradel (@ attractive entry)
On the radar/ More research to be done on: Nipco, Okitipupa, Maybaker, UACN and Unilever I no see wapco for this your list. Have you given up on the bus? |

"The rights issue will also expand Access Holdings’ total issued shares to around 53.318 billion. At the group’s share price of N24.7 as of December 24, this translates to a market capitalisation of N1.32 trillion on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX)"
53billion OS. No be small thing oh. Access have become the first to meet the CBN recapitalization requirement.
But that OS no be small thing oh. Gtco post recap OS of 38billion and Zenith 39billion remain more attractive. |

lasisi: Also, Does it mean they would delist because the 0.25% premium no make sense. E be like say TOE don carry existing minority shareholders handicap. But they are only taking 2million shares. I think they only want to comply with the provisions of the law. |

Sunrisepebble: Looking at 9m results of 2024 versus 2023
9M 2024: Tax rate of 85%! 9M 2023: Tax rate of 25% Their PBT has more than doubled. Using the same tax rate in 2023 on this year, the EPS should have been around $0.31(or N495) per share NB the said 9m result does not include their latest acquisition(ExxonMobil) which is more than doubling the crude oil output. The just commissioned ANOH gas project has also not been added. |

Sunrisepebble: I think so too. Ive been looking at the results and their profit margins will be a lot thicker when they transition their assets to the PIA. Thats why the tax rate for them is so high right now. I will be buying on the LSE Its cheaper on LSE, thats why they have been buying there. |

Ginalex: make I follow your footsteps. I can't make Transpower mistake twice Aradel should be very available today. There is too much insider trading in that stock. Thats why they rushed in before the acquisition. Their acquisition bull cannot be strong since it had since been factored into the price. In my opinion aradel is currently more expensive than seplat if you put their rrspective OS into consideration. But make no mistake, aradel is an excellent company with many future upsides |

Its also important to note that SPDC only owns 30% of the JV. So the 5member Renaissance group will have to share the said 30% SPDC stake in the JV. NB: I might be wrong too. I hope I am not correct cos If I am correct, then the deal get too much corner corner

Sunrisepebble: Was about to say this. Aradel that is being used as comparison already has a working refinery. Now they are adding 135kbpd of oil production and 350,000 mmscf of annual gas production (about another 150kboepd from my calculation ) with this acquisition. In addition they also have a power plant now, Afam VI (650MW capacity) that is connected to the grid already … The 5% stake in Chappal is also huge when they eventually IPO
Its night and day I also haven't mentioned our potential London listing but wanted to leave out assumptions But we do not yet know Aradel's share in the asset, given that Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited is a consortium of 5 big oil and gas companies. This market get as e be. We fit see full bid tomorrow, we fit no see full bid. But I for like get some more units before this kind of news. |

mikeapollo: I think some directors or related entities that hold Oando shares and still owe the company money but are unable to pay cash for the debt. Hence they have chosen to forfeit their shares as partial or full settlement.. I just hope those shares were valued appropriately, otherwise the receiving shareholders could still be shortchanged.
The result of this exercise would mean a reduction in Wale, his fellow promoters and related entities' controlling interests from 58% to about 35% (i.e. if none of the 65% common shareholdings belong to them in any way) Are you saying that they will not create additional shares for that purpose? If yes, then thats awesome for oando shareholders |

Imagine if we have 3 more billionaires disrupting sectors like steel, agriculture , transportation, mining, power and tech, and investing $20b in each, like Dangote did to Oil and Gas. I pray Elumelu considers taking more shares like 70-85% stake in his listed companies. It will help him(and help us too) |

Going on offer may be an over-reaction though but some punters were looking to sell the news. Seplat usually stays on offer until result period. |

RodgersAkpafu: There is no clear path to a sustainable appreciated naira in the next at least two to three years
All the indicators are against us High inflation and currency appreciation does not go hand in hand
High external debt and currency appreciation cannot go hand in hand
Our only way out in my opinion is if we add daily 450k barrels of oil to earn daily extra income Anything short of that na wash Don't worry, Seplat will do that we our new acquisition. Lol. But If 450k barrels is the answer, why can't we do that even all the huge reserve |

zendi: Good, but bear with us, no interim thing for Mpeace and others. Fcmb is wrestling with regulatory recapitalization like others. But I hope it can now summon the courage to narrow the price gap with Fidelity. They should have paid, no matter how small. CBN rules on recapitalization specifically instructed banks not to use their profit, but to source funds. If not GTCO and the rest would have met the requirements with half year profit. |
