I wonder why banking stocks are trading very low. UBA dividend dey sweet oh. See as every body just dey confess. Wait till year end lets see what they do. All these mega eps need to be shared. Make I see how gtco for example, go manage their projected over N60 eps |

Sunrisepebble: They still hold an additional 700 million shares. Perhaps one should wait till they’re done selling before jumping in. I was told they would do offer for sale but clearly they’re doing it outright But is it lawful for an insider to trade during a closed period? Aradel and most companies on nxg are currently observing the closed period. In the USA, they could be sanctioned for that. |

Tpharell: I doubt he is or has been in Seplat long enough as some of us to understand the liquidity issue. Without any news pushing it Seplat remains on offer for weeks on end, sometimes doing less than a thousand shares a day. It does get that bad, i can testify Lol. I haven't been in seplat long enough, just 4year. But in that four giod years, I have seen all I need to see. Slow but steady appreciation. I no dey too buy early. I wait, just like am waiting for aradel. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mpeace(m): 10:00am On Oct 22, 2024 |
Tpharell: You can believe the minister if you reckon there is a switch somewhere to flip to achieve desired output numbers. Mobil is adding about 30% to Seplat’s production not 100%, but of course there is the potential of increasing production by strategic decisions and interventions of the new operator. If you look carefully at the circumstances of that huge transaction, it appears to be someone cashing in on a quick opportunity to make guaranteed 10% or more immediately, not money intended to stay long in Seplat, but then again I could be wrong. And even at 100,000 daily offer they could struggle to ofload especially now that the momentum will likely slow down being that the deal is officially sealed. I was actually being modest when I said it should double seplat oil output by 100%. Most reports I read actually have higher estimate. The asset is not idle it has been productive but not at the level it should. Pls DYOR But at the end, only time will tell

Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mpeace(m): 9:14am On Oct 22, 2024 |
Tpharell: The problem with such outrageous deal is the person will probably/likely be back today or soon to convert the paper profit to cash before the momentum slows down, which could force Seplat into high or even full offer soon He only need to supply 100k units a day at day's high. Thats all we need. He doesn't need to sell at loss. Seplat has a very bright future. Do you know that this deal alone basically increases seplat oil output by 100% with potential of another 200% increase upon minimal investment(if the minister's words are anything to go by. |

Yes you read that right... That could well be the consideration for the approval. Some big govt officials must be compensated with units. |
